  • After using the DJI Mic 2 for almost a year and Rode Wireless Pro for the past few months, there are some major differences between the two units when using them in the real world. Not many people have really covered them as they tend to cover one unit or the other, so I wanted to make a video to discuss the small things that differentiate both units but make a big difference to users who may want one over the other if they use cameras like the OSMO Pocket 3, Osmo action 4 or 5, Sony FX30,FX3,A7s3,A74 etc.
Tech discussed in today's video ( links are affiliated and help with the content creation for this channel):

I used to always run the Sennheiser G4 system and was completely bought into the "if it isn't UHF, it isn't reliable" nonsense. On a whim I bought the DJI earlier this year and you know what I found?...it's completely reliable (especially with the 32 bit internal recording) and is WAY easier to live with. It's smaller, lighter, fires up instantly as soon as you open the case and recharges when you close it. For the work I do, I can't see going back to the G4, and that's really saying something because the G4 is a fantastic system.

might have been better to match the volume level for each brand. you have the DJI set a little hot, and the Rode is a bit too quiet. just fyi. thanks for the comparison.

@@ReachFilms yeah, but 7 on the rode isnt the same as 7 on the dji. and everyone will make minor tweaks to the audio in post if they have any interest in quality. i maybe would have just mentioned the adjustment or lack there of in the video. again thank you for the comparison. i have the rode set, and have been thinking of getting the dji also.

@@jadefinchscene5644 yeah that’s kinda the point of why I kept things the same.
