**CORRECTION: The dji mic 2 also has noise reduction. When you turn on the dji mic 2, the indicator light will be green. when you press the power button once, the indicator light will be yellow which means the noise cancellation is on. Sorry guys!!

Nice video. I have the DJI mic 2 and the Godox magic XT1. They have different applications for me. The DJI I use more for full size camera setups due to its 32 bit float. The Godox I use with my Insta360 X4 and GoPro cameras. With the extension on the XT1 connected to the top of my insta360 x4 cage, the receiver looks like a fixture on the ceiling when looking up in 360 video. The smaller form factor of the XT1 is perfect for my compact discreet setups.

I've used the first DJI mic to set up a wireless audio system and for redundancy. I'll plug my Tascan X8 into the sound board and connect the DJI mic through a aux cord to the audio out on the X8. The Tascan records the audio, which the DJI is also recording (internally). That same DJI sends an audio signal to my receiver, which is plugged into my camera. I do that set up all the time and have done it with my audio recorder on the other side of the room. No cords to worry about anyone tripping over them. That's the benefit of the DJI mics having a 3.5mm jack and internal recording.

Got my XT1's a couple weeks ago...after I had decided I was done buying this type of mic because maybe six different sets are enough for a solo content creator ;). I love the Godox. Love it. I did give up backup recording in order to make it my go-to kit (as long as sound isn't critical), but I just love them so much. They look good, sound good, are super versatile. I don't really feel the need to look at any more after these. Just my two pennies and a ball of lint. Thanks for the review, and what you do.

For the price, the Godox is definitely worth it. I could only hear slight differences between the three brands. I think you could be happy with any of these three kits. I already own the DJI OP3, so I have the Mic 2. And the 32-bit float audio is a winner. If I didn't already own wireless audio from Rode, Comica, Hollyland (Lark 150) and DJI, I would definitely grab the Godox.

The sound quality of the godox is better when the dynamic noise reduction is turned on . But without the noise reduction , there is no difference in the sound quality of both . For features , the godox has better features than the lark M2 . Another great video, Mark . Thanks for sharing .

@georgewoolf6300 Probably sitting in your bed space with a cheap android phone and asking me to listen with quality headphones . If the airpods pro 2nd generation with the upgraded H2 chip, which can buy your cheap smart phone, can't give me a clear audio , I don't think anything else could. There is no difference in sound between the godox and the hollyland for me . If you are not a fool, you would have known that sound quality and clarity are dependent on the listeners .

    • @MrFaccts
      @MrFaccts 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@georgewoolf6300 Neuman KH120 is not a studio monitor headphone, and only a stupid person would plug in an audio monitoring headphones to a studio sound speaker. Normal people connect headphones to mics and audio recorders . This shows that you have no idea what you are talking about, and you probably don't know what Audio technica m50 looks like . The internet is a big space, I don't look down on anyone, but I always make sure that I reply to stupid people like you. And in case you don't know, the airpds pro 2nd generation with H2 chip produces cleaner audio than your so-called ATHM50 even though the airpods pro is not specifically built for studio audio monitoring. The ATH M50 cost 130 USD in my location, while the airpods pro 2nd gen costs 228 USD . You have no idea what a studio looks like .

Thanks for good and honest review. I am in search for wireless mic and this review really helps.
I noticed that you, as many other reviewers, missed to explain stereo mode better. It seems stereo feature of wireless microphones is lightly explained by both manufacturers and reviews and there is almost always key question that is left unanswered. Does stereo means two mics are separated in two audio channels and can be used independently in post production, or it is just stereo audio with both microphones mixed in both channels?

On the Lark M2s you can see on the receiver if the noise reduction button has been pressed on the transmitter. The light on the end of the receiver will either be blue or green depending on the noise reduction setting.
And as great as the Lark M2s sound. They are incredibly unreliable. I bought a set in January and it has already crapped out. They gave me issues for months and now I cant get them to connect at all . Hollyland's customer service is absolutely atrocious too. So I bought a second set on Aug 9 and already one of the mics stopped working. I am sending them back. Just bought some DJI 2s. Fingers crossed they work.

I JUST bought the Lark M2 yesterday after watching the review you did on it about a month ago. The price difference between this Godox system and the Lark (plus the nifty touchscreen) *almost* had me reconsidering my purchase, but after hearing your samples, I prefer the sound of the Lark. Same as You on me: After looking the review I really prefer the Hollyland Lark M2 over the outer mics. First, the Lark II Mike are almost invisible. Second is the sound that is clearly better. And when it comes to the noise reduction mode the Lark M2 clearly outperforms the outer two by a large margin.

I prefer the dji because of the good audio performance.
    1. The other mics are kind of producing a little trebble sound that is disturbiing where as the dji's audio is neat and bass emproved.
    2. The treble noise increases when noise reduction is activated on the two other mics too.
    3. The dji is very versatile (bluetooth) for cams and phones
    4. The dji's connections (wireless for sony cams) and (extra plug for usb-c phones) is a plus.
    5. The 32-bit float feature makes up for dji's lack of noise reduction
DJI is the best in my opinion based on these objective points.

I have the Hollyland Lark M1 mics and love them. Actually, I bought them because of your video and recommendation. It too has a 3.5mm jack. I think the whole getting smaller craze is not really necessary. I have larger fingers and hands and am sure I would lose those rare earth magnets in a heartbeat, nice that the Godox gives you spares, however. I thought all three mics sounded very good and also very similar. The Godox had slightly better noise reduction, but it also cut off some frequencies in order to get it. Any DJI product is a quality product, as this on is too, but once again, a little pricey in comparison to the other two. I would chose the Hollyland M2's in this comparison, and would purchase them if I didn't already have the M1's. The only thing I don't like about the M1's is the probability of hitting another button that may change from stereo to mono, or turn on or off the noise reduction inadvertently. I wish there was a lock feature.

M2 has no 3.5 ouput no effective windmuff. Dji has all that and 32 bits, and you can buy elements separately also the interface oled is better. And i would have digital 24 bits sound to the Sony Camera. With the 3.5 cable fron the receiver, tou would have only 16 bits sound.

for me DJI Mic 2 just blows everything out of the water. Especially that DJI made a digital hot shoe attachment, it changes everything. And the amount of features that comes with it when using blutooth or wifi is freaking insane for smartphones.
For sure its audio quality is not as great as Rode Go ii pro or Magic XT1, but the convenience is what i love about the dji mic 2.

    Nice Video.
15:30 you can turn off/on ANC on the DJI Mic 2 when pressing the power button shortly (or the other one -> §, I forgot🙈).

Hollyland has my vote even over the DJI. It just sounds much more natural to me and I cannot stand the bulkiness of the DJI and the Rode. However, Godox is the ultimate budget option.

But you can buy the TX from DJI, (only one) and you can use it with Action 4 camera without a receiver. So that means 100eur only

For a Bluetooth only mic connecting to a phone, Pocket3 or action cam yes. It’s a good option. But not to a mirrorless camera.

It drives me up a wall that says Dji doesn't sell the USB C connector should you sit on the connector itself.
I had to buy a receiver and one mic to replace it call dji as well and they give promises but don't deliver (we'll invoice you) silence.

I always thought I will need two systems. Now there is a third option at such a sweet price! Just gimme the Lark2 with internal recording and 3.5mm lavalier input. I want to stop thinking about it 😅

Listening on my iPhone with AirPods Pro I found it very difficult to tell the difference in audio quality.
I have a Fulaim X5 which Iove. It has some extra bells and whistles which I don't use much. If it breaks I might replace it with a Gidox!!! But connecting the received to a phone is much more problematic.

This is a completely different use case and appreciate your thoughtsI have some bad hearing issues and have been struggling finding a headset for office environments with good over ear or in ear sound and an ANC mic. I have Sony XFXM5 which help me a lot given their excellent noise reduction and in ear sound, however in a noisy office environment the mic is useless. I have also a good Jabra 65 headset, great mic, but over ear headset is not that good with hearing protection. is it possible to use a microphone like this for teams calls etc on a PC or a Mac? If so, how do I connect it. Your help is very much appreciated.

Brilliant Review Mark and timely too since I was considering purchasing the DJI dual lav for my DJI Pocket 3. The million dollar question ... if I went with the Godox dual system, would I need to add a bracket to support the receiver to the Pocket 3 ... AND .. would it need to be cabled. I believe the DJI dual is Bluetooth and syncs automatically. Looking forward to your answer and more great videos!
