I recently replaced all my fluids in my 2013 LP560. I highly recommend you do the same, everything was very degraded. Especially e gear and front and rear differential/transmission. I changed coolant, front and rear diff, trans, e gear, power steering. They are not lifetime as manual says, Lamborghini considers lifetime as 10 years. Don’t ask why.
Nice! Yeah “lifetime” is meaningless. Lifetime of what?! The vehicle lifetime? The transmission lifetime?! Mercedes used to say the same thing and ended up in a class action lawsuit.
I had my guy do it. He was a Lambo mechanic at the local Lambo dealership but since went independent. Amazing price for everything. Very happy with him. I would do every fluid though, it’s time and you will feel good about your car when it’s done.
For real! I’d love to be in the meeting when the designers agree this is where to put them 😅. They totally had room under the glove box like normal cars
Great video! Question, is there a plug sequence of how you should drain the oil or it doesn't matter? Also, I keep cracking up at seeing all the Audi 4 ring logo on the components.
No order from what I've seen. You will just get the most oil out of the first bolts you drain. So I'd say drain the easiest bolts first where you can have your pan under and make the least amount of mess. Yeah sooo many parts are Audi! Funny to see for sure! Even the new swaybar end link I had to order had an Audi logo on it, but it came in a Lamborghini bag!
Not only do you enjoy your blessings, but you work and maintain them. 💯 I'm guessing around $350 for a Gallardo oil change at the Lamborghini dealer. More? Did you see what they were saying at the dealership for a laugh? I'm surprised you had to take all that off for the cabin air filter- Great maintenance Brian! 👌
Yeah I'm not to sure what the dealer charges. I know they charge $250 to do the cabin filters! That was a big pain in the butt tho lol. But fun car to work on and I'll probably do nearly all the maintenance myself.
Thanks for this great explanation video. I have a question about the drain plugs… have you bought new drain plugs or used the same ones? I ordered 2 sets of drain plugs at Lamborghini in Tokyo/Japan as many videos about oil change say to replace them.
I just cleaned them nice and reused them. Haven't had a leak and I've put over 2k miles on this oil. Just make sure they are tight. But new plugs won't hurt either
5W/50W full synthetic oils should only be used in lambos!! Despite what that dam engine bay sticker says!! My advice is DO NOT race that engine with 5w/30s ffs!!😢😢😢
@@oreally8605 32years racing pal, it's my advice as race car technician! Take the advice or leave it it's not my car or my engine... My Lamborghini is perfect in ever single way 😀
@@oreally8605 do you have a basic understanding of oils and the Weights? Once you do we will have a grown up conversation about it and the technical side of oils
@@oreally8605 then we will talk about the lambos turbos and boost levels and ECU technology incorporated in the onboard computer systems! Lamborghini is now Audi and it's no longer Italian 😂
Looking at forums I saw 5w40 and 5w30 come up the most. I'll stick with doing what the car says. I also don't race my car. Some fun mountain road trip and a few accelerations are the extent to my hard driving.
Now I can be even more thankful for my Honda oil and cabin change. Nice to see though.
Haha for real! The normal brands keep it easy 😅
LOL. Now you know why they didn't change the cabin air filters.
😂😂😂😂
For real! Such a bad location! Took me about an hour to do it ;)

Oh nice! What all do you need to do for the rear diff and tranmission? I did a break flush already. Havent don't steering or coolant yet

Yea it’s not the case, long time but not lifetime
@@number36420Nice I’ll take a look at other services and plan to do everything this year. 10 years seems like a good time to do everything!
Very cool that you do your own oil changes on a supercar. When I had my NSX I was too afraid to mess something up.
These really aren’t hard. Just a few more bolts then normal lol
I'm buying a Gallardo. Thank you for all the information. Really appreciate it
Awesome! Great car for sure and tons of fun!
Why in the world would they make it that much of a pain to change the cabin filters?! That’s wild!

Oh damn! You finished the rebuild, good job dude. I'm about to backtrack, to catch up on what I've missed previously.
Yeah I have 12 rebuild videos! Got this done in 4 months! Crazy project to tackle but she's back and ready to roll!

The lambo air filters like the Nissan Maxima air filter in the cut
Oh yeah
Gret job!!! Great video love the way you showed everything step by step
Thanks! Easy process overall! Fun car to work on

Why on earth would you say that? If the badge from Lamborghini from Italy 🇮🇹 says 5W30 why would you use anything else? OW oil?
