Suspension:
Front: 2" Drop spindle and Torsion bars turned down 3"
(Spindle prices are ridiculous currently and some people are having issues with them cracking or going through ball joints. You can turn your torsions bar completely down for this look as well. Between the time of this video and now I had to put my factory spindles back on and just did a torsion drop)

Im working on mine , it us a 1991 4×4 king cab 2600 , I already fixed the air conditioning , next I will lift it 3" or 4 " , And make it look like yours, Clean and enjoyable to drive it.Pick up Mazdas are cool.👍

I was raised of hydraulic bed and paint jobs I'm from Louisiana soo we different from California who have da bed and the hydraulic hood with sides those are good day's for me ... Preciate u makin a video like this
Hydraulic beds, expensive paint jobs and lots of chrome is still around brother and some say it's even making a comeback. A lot of clean trucks in California but we are from the south in Texas. Cheers neighbor

I had a new 86 5spd lx in mocha brown. Dog of an 86 hp engine, but gave good gas milage. Nice restomod u have.

Can always get another one! They are simple trucks and slowly will be getting harder to come by
I saw one for sale the other day, but no money right now to buy it. I put power steering and AC and converted from automatic to 5 speed in one of them. Lowered the front and put Isuzu rodeo wheels on it. 8 years ago someone stole it and sold one to my brother.
Yeah I’ll be adding power steering and AC on it hopefully this year. Well maybe later on this year you can pick one up!

That's awesome! My white 88 Mazda right now is having some idling issues and I suspect is the carb as well. Hopefully I'll be adding a weber as well soon and showing here in the channel
Amazing work. Gives me inspiration to do my 87 B2000 long bed. I just picked up my chrome grill last week (not easy to find at all either).
They are definitely getting harder and harder to come by. I might have to buy an extra one to save just in case anything happens to mine. Def start working on yours! Not many long beds around either
@@FlakeGarage I agree on both. I’m in several Mazda groups on Facebook and hardly see any long beds, and people going crazy over chrome grills.

Hello. Awesome truck! Quick question. Hope you can help. I purchased belltech lowering leaf springs 3 times, yes 3 and had the same problem every time. The rear end slides back about 2”. I have 4” lowering springs as well. They seem to be too long. Anything you went thru with yours? Any input will be very appreciated. Thanks.
Unfortunately I didn't install the leafs on the truck as they were done by the previous owner. From what I can tell, there is no issue with placement on the leafs themselves but the hangers do look more stretched out compared to factory. Pretty much the exact same truck minus a few hp. Both look the same is just the engine that’s slightly different, like very slightly different

Do I have to have a Weber to get the headers or can I run headers and a stock carburetor ?
You can probably run the headers without the Weber but you’ll have to see what lines you might need to cap or reroute to have your stock carburetor work the same. It’s definitely easier to run a Weber without headers than vice versa
Is it possible to remove the oil pan and make a new gasket without removing the entire engine?
That’s a good question that I’m not sure about, looking at it, I wanna say most likely you’ll have to at least lift the engine a bit because of the cross member. Might wanna ask Mazda Mitch. He might have more knowledge on that specifically here on youtube
Where did you find that carburetor? I just got one and the stock air filter and stuff is huge and takes up so much space
Most likely you have the bigger filter. They sell the smaller one or big one separate. I recommend just finding the smaller one for your truck
Did you have to remove your bump stop in the rear ? I have the same setup but I'm running 15×10
Yes, there are no bump stops on the rear on my truck. I haven’t found a good slim solution so big bumps will hit the frame
In the front use KYB or Tokikos for a 1985 Nissan Pickup.
I’m switching over to belltech shocks on the front. They been good to me in the past with other trucks
@@FlakeGarage Ok, if you don’t get the ride you want remember those. We used these on our Mazda’s in the 90s. You need a stiff shock for a good ride.
We’ll keep in mind for sure if the belltech don’t do the job
can I get the jet sizes for the weber car, I think mines is to big, my carb is running really rich on the left side
The Weber carb has the factory Jets it came with. I haven’t open it or replaced them but I’ll be rebuilding a used carb I have. Once I do, I can tell you the jet sizes on them. I don’t know them right now off the top of my head

Do you have a link to the rear leaf springs ? I’m tired of the minoleaf life ready to do it legit
The belltech leaf spring is gonna drop you 3" on the rear but one thing to be aware about is that it'll push back your wheels a bit because you have to move the hanger way back. Here is link to the leaf amzn.to/3tRXQ8C the price is per leaf so you have to get 2 unfortunately
There is also another option by street edge that sells the pair for cheaper but I have no experience with their products. You can find them here ebay.us/ksO18h

Only way to find them nowadays is to check ebay constantly or get in one of the facebook groups and hope someone posts them for sale unfortunately
What car was the middle console you retrofitted from?
Must be from a cab plus model. I have a b 2600 with the extended cab and that’s the console that’s in mine
How the car feels when u drive? On 4” drop
I got a 5” inch drop altogether and it’s rough right now because we are in c notch territory without one

Do you still have the bump stops in there front and rear
I have no bump stops on either side right now. Big dips will hit the axle on the frame. I have new shocks to put in front to help as well so we'll see how it goes
@@FlakeGarage yeah I took mine out too I just run a shorter shock I'm as low as I can go I kept the main spring and the helper and ditch the rest I should take a video of this truck but i just never have maybe I will and I'll post it on my channel sometime the only way I can go down any lower is take the 14-in rim off and go with a 15-in rim and run a 50 series tire but I think it's low enough I feel like I'm four wheeling in the city lol 😂🤣 you just can't beat an old mini truck mine is a 1987 extended cab but maybe I should share it with everybody I only did it for myself I know when I take it into town everybody stares at it it's all stock and clean except for being lowered LOL I like your guys's trucks so much you guys can do to those if I put air ride and cut the back c-notch then I could lay frame it wouldn't take much I just don't want to I like to use it as a truck
What's the name of your drop spindles you using ?
Chassis tech I believe. One of the holes for the brake dust shield doesn’t line up, FYI

It’s a 2.0 with a carb, header and pretty much stock exhaust. It doesn’t sound any different lmao

You can try to reindex or just turn the torsion bars to raise the truck a bit. Another option would be to somehow find a body lift for the b series like my other mazda has here: th-cam.com/video/MipsHp1fLQM/w-d-xo.html unfortunately I don't know where to find this kit

Recomiendo empezar con cosas pequenas y arreglando cualquier cosa que este mal con tu troca. El proyecto ya facil va mas arriba de los 5 mil dolares contando todo
