A friend I know has a 1983 model. It's a Mazda B-2000 Sundowner. Truck is from Lloydminster, Alberta. It has a metric speedometer Kilometers per hour large, miles per hour small. It is medium blue metallic and has bucket seats with console.

Badass! Good truck, buddy of mine had one for years! I almost bought one and wish i did. Brings back some good memories looking this truck over.

That’s awesome! By what I’ve read, they seem to be pretty reliable. Need to drop the fuel tank and get it cleaned out next.

I have a 1983 model myself, it's the B2000 sport with the sport rails and such, sweet little truck, currently waiting on a fuel pump replacement.

you must have about 15 vacuum leaks on that beast. #1 is the 1 or 2 big pipes coming off the exhaust manifold in front of valve cover, just cap em. Not vacuum but they make alot of noise. Remove the evap shutter on snorkle and cap that line. Cap the port on back of intake manifold to the vacuum amplifier and unplug everything EGR related. Cap purge valve fitting on side of intake by PVC. Your only vacuum line should be to distributor, cap the rest. Your pump is electric, right under your fuel tank filler on the frame. Your fuel inlet goes on right spud of carb fitting and return line is left side (it has a little check valve on it). These motors run pretty good, just remember to retorque head bolts every year , ~68 ft/lbs cold

Awesome! This is all very helpful. I’ve already started eliminating vacuum leaks and it’s running much better. I drove it about 15 minutes to my new house in the latest video!

@@RealSteelFabrications Also the slow air bleeds on top of carb tend to get clogged, spray em all down with carb cleaner at a high idle. These carb throttle shafts will start to leak in the cast iron base after many miles, at idle spray some carb cleaner at the throttle shaft and see if the idle changes. Cant fix that without bushing it or getting a new carb. Good luck! I got 248,000 on mine and it still runs great, new carb at 230K.

i just got an 84' b2200 diesel, id really like it if i can start it up with the key and have the 5th gear which is broken , have to pull start it to get engine to run. I hope with a new starter it will run but there are none for sale.

A diesel would be awesome! I got my starter from Autozone but I’m sure parts are harder to find for the diesels. Actually have a video come tonight or tomorrow on an 84’ mini truck… not a Mazda this time though. Good luck on the truck, will be awesome if you can get it going.

@@RealSteelFabrications thank you sir I was really wanting to keep it and daily, but after a week of owning it I managed to find a killer deal on a nice 06 Toyota Tacoma, so I’m gonna have a lot of trucks in my driveway now lol of course I had been originally looking for the Toyota for last 5 years, and just when I get a different one I find a deal on one funny the way it works. I made a 13 hour round trip the other day to get to get front end parts for the b2200, it was in a small collision which the seller said killed the man driving maybe they had a stroke or something

I like how you didn't use gloves when cleaning the interior.

Apparently mice eat wires because the insulation is made party out of walnut trees. Not sure how true that is but it’s what I’ve heard.

WTFreak, you wee-willy whiper-snapper 😢 you must be pulling on our collective ankles regarding the NO PS...😂
Anyways, are those odd three (?) rims with the red pin stripe trailer wheels?🤔
Thanks for the Friday morning cartoon while I was getting my green tea ready to wake my GI tract and them little grey cells, trying to keep a look see at your shenanigans all the while still rubbing the sleep out of these 65 year old eyes. 😅

They sure do look like it! I was told they were the original wheels but I don’t think so. Wish I had a full set of wheels that fit the hub caps. Luckily they are 6x5.5 like chevys, so wheels should be easy to find.
