Had the same cover on my Toyota 94 hilux. It was great quality in virtually every aspect. I agree with the rail system, but I’ve seen a lot of Velcro type last half a lifespan this style.
So i just installed a bed cover on my extended cab, the 2016-2022 Toyota tacoma 6” cover fits perfectly but depending on which cover you get u may have to make some custom brackets like i did I’ll send you picture thru fb later once i get my access back
Yeah the problem using the newer Tacoma style is that the new Tacomas have a rail system in the bed that the cover uses. They stopped using the clamps. It’ll fit but definitely have to get custom brackets
Try (Extang) brand. I have one on my 96' D21 short bed reg cab. I love it, fits perfect, and seals great. One thing I like is the bows that come with it. They prevent sagging and I can remove and roll up the cover and use as an open bed. PLEASE KEEP MAKING VIDS!!! Very inspiring
Extang and Truxedo are both good brands to get. They are definitely higher quality compared to this cheap one but it does the job lol appreciate the support!
I have a 86 b2000 and measured my bed and it 6'2 1/2 . Im worried its not going to cover or see how its going to cover with a 6" bed cover . And its straight bed to .
If you gonna slid the cover backwards maybe it's possible to add an aluminum coverstrip to the rear panel to compensate for the shortness and still keep it water proof...other than that it looks good 👍👍👍
I loved it and it seems to cover both sides just fine. The warped front and back mainly just shows the metal but not inside the bed so it’s working good specially for the price point

I just installed '95-'04 Tacoma's tonneu cover. (approx.200usd) I needed some modifies for C-clamp fitting...I just add spacers actually. The cover seems just a little longer for my bed, but it's great!! It might be perfect fit to your regular cab. What are the dimensions of your truck bed. I have one and it's 89" in length. I want to get a cover as well just trying to ensure this would work before I purchase it.

How does the cover latch and un-latch? Do you have to open the tailgate to open the cover? My truck has a shaved tailgate, just wanted to check before I order one. Thanks!
You do have to open the tailgate to open the cover as the latch is on the inside. Don’t get this cover for your bed as the shaved tailgate is going to be an issue

I had to replace my rear windshield in in Oct of 2020. The frame had been damaged by the guys that broke into my truck. Not being able to source a complete unit locally I found one made by CR Laurence and sold by DKHardware. The CRL version has 'solar glass' (tinted) and has a metal latch. The slider seals are an improvement (much less wind noise) vs the OEM but they will leak with high pressure washing. For $188 and free shipping I can't really complain. The CRL part # is TSW325S
I always wash my trucks with the cover on and extended. You want to wash the cover too but I recommend you dry it once you are done. Try not to let the water just pool and dry by itself

Truxedo makes a great cover for the Hardbody. It’s pricey but fits perfect. Well see if we get one for it and can make a video on it

This won't fit the hardbody. Truxedo makes a cover specially for the hardbody that fits great. I'd recommend looking into that one

The one in my Tacoma has held up fairly well. They do a good job most of the time, you might just see a little fading on the black
