You could buy a separate liquid tank for the Tornador and use plastic dressing in it ! It saves so much time and also it gets in all the nooks and crannies so everything is covered in dressing ! Great video too 🤗
Did some mention the word EPIC ? Very effective and time saving. Gets most if not all the surface cleaned. Never failed me to this day and I’m running tornado black.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Tornador Black is the 2nd gen to the classic. Some improvements were made, less air consumption, lower operating dB and has more power than the classic. Tornador max is the newest one which features inline swivel connector, new spring rotate set, tactical led, and some ergonomic improvement.
Even your old Dad is impressed by this engine clean. I know when we get round to it. My cars gonna look great...... sooner ot later. Very good video. Dad 🍺 😂🤣
Doing research on cleaning my own after some work to the engine. Cleaning removed components before reassembly and brush cleaning whatever I can reach... Your method looks promising for going over everything once my car is back together. Lots of Volvo c30 bits in video car. Nice job!
I was mulling over doing the exact same thing in my video, so I shall - just so there is further evidence supporting the method. It's absolutely perfect for this - not quite dry ice levels of clean, sure, but it's bloody good.
Actually yes please. I need backup before the community tears me a new one on this topic 😅. To be fair you could just stick some ice cubes in it and pretend it's dry ice 🤣
Looks great and from what I can see it uses less water than a pressure washer so in theory I may be safe to use around delicate areas? Who knows you could try it out on alloy wheels and see if it works with a bit of wheel cleaner added? Would be interesting to see? .
Yeah it honestly uses the smallest amount of chemical. I can do an entire car and still have enough chemical. The outlay is high but the return is worth it
Possibly use a Scrub Buddy (available from Home Bargains) for the stubborn areas? Unlike the normal scrub pads, they will not scratch. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video Dave. Very impressive results and way safer than blasting an engine bay with a pressure washer. If one owns a compressor, the Tornador is a must have tool.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yes best Australian detailing content 🇦🇺 I like the UK detailing scene and the USA last because everyone seems to be flogging a dead horse in America just be make $$$ on product's. In my opinion
I clean engine bay solely with Tornador, because it's safer around electronics, battery, etc., but also cleans around the caps way faster than a brush with chemical bottle ...always works great!
once you've blasted it with your gizmo try a leaf blower to finish. No wiping. I do my Harley with S100, water rinse, leaf blower and turns out great in a fraction of the time
Great video Dave I love the satisfaction of before and after especially a dirty engine bay. Would love to see a video on cleaning Alcantara. Any recommendations on removing small stains?
This has turned up at a good time, my partner's car's EB is a mare to clean. Also my preferred black plastic product is now NLA and others I've tried, wash off all to easy and leave streaks. Neither of us have the time or mobility to fiddle about going over the same ground. Our local petrol station "valeters" are shockers too. Thanks for sharing 👍😊✌️💜
Hi video vary interesting. I was just wondering what standard car polish have used ?as I'm thinking about trying a different one I can only polish by hand as not used a polisher looking at hand polish iv used sonax perfect finish good polish Cheers 👍👍 Stewart
Alright alright, Dave, Im sold! Wondering if 200ml of hot water and a teaspoon of surfex HD or similar degreaser would do the job on those stubborn areas?
@epicautomotivedetailing I first saw Sandro using one (Car Craft Auto Detailing) a long time ago - and he rated it as a daily mobile detailer's tool back in the days before his studio. (Another) Wicked channel and what looks like a great tool. Its on my list. Quick Q on your air compressor as i@ve got he same one, if i may.. What PSI are you setting it at and are you doing that on the compressor itself or do you have one of those additional valve things to set it? Jsut curious as I barely use mine (as you know, The Noise!) and this would be a good way to start doping so. And ten mins? That's a result in itself! Less mess, less fuss and quick. And who doesn't like one of those on a Friday?
Here is the real quickest way: Spray with an aerosol can wheel or engine cleaner- rinse with low pressure garden hose. Apply a second time and brush any thick grime. No expensive equipment needed.
Wouldn't some citris-based cleaner on a cloth take off that lithium grease? It usually works for me and no danger of scratching the plastic (or metal). Also, I usually use the blue scotchbrite sponges because they will not scratch metal and usually won't scratch plastic either. In fact, I only use the green scotchbrite when I WANT to scratch the surface.
Yeah it would but I felt if I went further and filmed that process then it would expose me to a lot of negative comments regarding the tornador not being able to remove it and the truth is it eliminated everything else easily so I respectfully left it out to show how far you can go with one 🙏
@@epicautomotivedetailing I totally get that! My comment really was more about how darn abrasive those green scotchbrite sponges/pads are! That Tornador is amazing tho! Unfortunately, I don't have a compressor and I've already more than used up my Dad's Toys budget for the year. :-(
i absolutely love your videos haha... i mean, you might have heard of the company i work for if you're from the UK, we're called "svs" (specialist valeting services).... now don't get me wrong, we are more like an agency, so i can't say every valeter is amazing... but we do have some good lads, how ever... my point here... i work for a valeting company and i take a lot of pride in my work, for example, the autoglym van turned up on site the other day, i spent 600 quid and didnt even get chemicals, it was literally just getting new brushes and clothes etc (my tools) again. but as a valeter, you know one thing i really do hate and i hate it with a passion... polishing cars -.-
Thank you mate. Can't say I've heard of them but I've been so hooked up in my own world I don't really stop to look around since I cut back on the valeting. honestly I can't wait to call it a day so I can enjoy cleaning my own car in a different state of mind
How do you find the size of the compressor re air volume versus using the Tornador for long periods of time? Do you find the compressor is constantly trying to keep up as it is relatively small compared to what the recommended size is? 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It’s only the top layer of the engine compartment. I was hoping to see how the electrical connections and the alternator were prepared for the spray !!
no not reallly most of this is overkill , engine bay cleaning with water and chemicals is safe just check for anything overly exposed , done it 100s of times and never had any issue
No you don't have to. I showed in the other 2 videos alternative methods that both work fine. It's just another method to add to the list. For me this is the best in terms of speed, safety. However dry ice could be better but again the costs are astronomical for one of those which still requires an air compressor
I never cover anything and I soak everything in the engine bay. Pressure wash too. You know when it rains, water gets up into the engine bay, correct? You know places where water shouldn't be, are protected with seals for dirt, grime and water? At least anything made int he past 20 years is. If you have any problems, it's probably from connections that are overdue being replaced.
The tornador reminds me of something and i cant place it. A cartoon. A castle scene where royalty arrives and a row of figures play medieval notes. Their heads are trumpets playing the music..... and that looks like the tornador. Shrek? Fantasia?Christ this is bugging me

He said he'd reveal that in a future video. (About 1:25) It's been a month now and he still hasn't said, or I missed it.
