@@not_realy_real there's no pilot in that ship, but you can hear that its his carrier since the notification sound plays. Likely is on the test server though.
@@Jeff55369 yea it is a nidribughtor becose a hel costs 25 bilion isk in singularity and a titan costs 100bilion isk and skill injectors cost 10 bilion amd all but orders are over 1bilion isk
I don't think anyone would sacrifice a freaking Hel in live server, most likely test server ship.

very cool and ominous how it so massive and landed right in front of an already massive Carrier. Titans are such a step up from everything else.

nah new one is waaay better, it even has attachments to make the doomsday look like itss actually being fired from the ship and not just a random beam appearing on it
This reminds me of the scene in Star Trek: Into Darkness, when the USS Vengeance dropped in on the Enterprise.

And this is the smallest one at "only" 13km long. The Leviathan and Ragnarok are both around 17-18km long...

They are fairly large on the sci fi ship scale, as big as some of those giant Star Wars imperial super destroyers.

Avatar got the best looking doomsday weapon. They put some effort into adding details, small anims etc. Minmatar, Caldari and Gallente doomsdays are visual jokes compared to this

It’s funny because the Leviathan is a missile-specialized Titan but even if there are visible silos gates everywhere along the ship the missiles are still coming from nowhere 😂😂

Meh. The firing effects are cool, but once upon a time Doomsdays fired through cynos light years away and destroyed everything on grid. Triple coordinated doomsdays killed entire fleets with a single activation.
yeah it was nerfed exactly for that reason.. it was OP. They still can slap just single target slap
@@adawg3032 CCP Oveur was famously quoted having said that "if blowing up entire fleets with one single shot weapon is wrong, I don't want to be right.". They changed that, and ruined the vision of one of the original developers. Too many carebear tears.

The player character/s is a special kind of person called a Capsuleer who has trained hard and gained cybernetic implants and clone bodies so they exist as data and can change bodies or interface with ships, controlling a huge ship with their mind.
@@zeehero7280 old novel suggests that the larger ships still have full crews, though. Always wondered how many non-technically immortal normal people die during a huge fleet engagement. Even here, what's the complement of the Nidhoggur? One capsuleer and a few hundred crew?
@@Driahva hundred? that's what we see in star trek for destroyer/small cruiser sized ships, a nidhoggur is tens of thousands surely
Canonically in EVE Online to fully control the ship as such, only one person called the capsuleer is needed because most of the functions are directed by an AI. So basically a single person can fly and pilot a 15km warship unlike other big ships like Star Wars where they would need thousands crew
But doesn’t neccesary mean that more people do not fit inside incluiding troops, infantry, fighter pilots, auxiliary personnel, and reserve personnel

I'm guessing that because there are no other "donor" ships nearby, the DD weapons have no splash damage to other ships? So it acts just like any other weapon in Eve, and only affects the targeted ship. Correct?
There are multiple varieties of superweapons that can be fitted to titans. This one, the doomsday, is single-target.

I feel like doomsday weapons were not a great idea.
They used to be worse. They were originally AoE weapons that would nuke entire fleets of battleships. We used to have to fit our BS's with a ton of 1600mm plates or shield extenders to survive them.

@@OzzlyOsborne about 10. EVE has had more graphics and sound improvements over the years than Elite, which is odd considering Elite is more concerned with realism than EVE.

@@AstronixStudios which technically isn't pay to win since you can buy it ingame with ISK (granted I don't know what the PLEX market looks like these days, I won Eve last year.)

That titan is pure garbage, it can not do anything against the fleet of tiny ships....this game is stupid as nails.
Imagine having 200 bil ship that can be destroyed by 100 ships that in total is worth of 10 bil max.

@@baraenbojassen6611 The point is that biggest, baddest ship can be easily killed by 100 alpha players( alpha account is non paying account, for people that do not know).
@@MyHandleDownThere Easily is an exaggeration but I still think it is fair. The Titan has fleet redeployment and a AoE doomsday weapon. If you also had infinite shield on top of that, the game wouldn't be very fun.
CCP actually thinks this kind of design philosophy is smart

Like real life battleships that could be hit by 100 millions of 9mm bullets and just laugh it off.
