Remember conduits snapshot your heat when you start firing, so if you overheat mid beam you need to release the trigger and refire to get the damage boost This also works in reverse if you get the boosted beam going and dump sinks, you keep the damage until you stop the beam
As a daily user of a kinda engineered Corvette myself, the use of boost-and-ram tactics helps a lot when you're fighting big ships 😂 And in PVE when you have Eagles, Vultures or Chieftains rushing to greet you, it's hilarious to see them bounce off out of control while their shield vanishes or their hull goes down 50% after they try to ram you 🤣
Prolly not that bad honestly. Engineered with a mod reinforcement or two and you can sit in critical temp range for a thirty minute fight and come out with like 20% damage to modules. Which is wellll above the fail point. I do it regularly in a chieftain with full rails and plasma. Once the heat sinks are gone and if I don't have the mats to synth more I start a timer in my head of fight time under heat pressure before I gotta dock and it's quite long.
@@peterkunka3031 my combat style is best described as rabid pit bull lol. Get all up close and personal and keep ramming and shooting till something goes BOOM. On bounty missions, I mostly rammed to drop their shields (or tried to anyway), then targeted drives. If the target had a bunch of backup on site I'd target the PP.
@@aimanislam1233 yes, I know what you actually get is usually a good bit more than gets flashed on the HUD. And that not counting any associated mission reward. I always equip and use a kill warrant scanner because I'm a greedy bastidge and if the doing will get me 2 extra credits I'm gonna do it lol.
I’ve gotten into bounty hunting recently and I’ve realized that pirates don’t outfit their ships well. Especially on big ships, If I’m having issues it’s usually on a team or a medium ship.
It's hilarious how many people in the comments don't understand how much heat damage that would actually cause. One minute at 150 to 200% is completely negligible
Well, with a Vulture, short range Beam and short range Multicannon with corrosive, anything over 20 Seconds is an insult. The typical (allied reputation) 4 million pirate Corvette actually belongs to the easiest targets for small ships with good lateral thrust. You won't ever get fired at before the Powerplant pops, sitting below the opponent/victim. A Corvette is making life unnecessarily hard 😉
Everyone gangsta till you get slapped. Never be sure of anything with players in this game... Some sidewinders are absolute monsters and some anacumda are absolute trash
I was talking PvE, PvP is a different story, agreed. The Hardpoint number is too small in a Vulture. There are good PvP Vulture commanders, but in the end, you don't stand a chance against the Weapon Effect Variety of the FDLs.
@@BlueSideUp Corvette its the best pve ship in the game, with 2 huge multicannon or plasma acelerator, u can kill anyone in seconds. I prefer fdl, but corvette in pve its unique
@leonardomiotti3181 absolutely not! The time on target of that slow turning brick is not good enough, the Vulture has 100% time on target, always. If you know how to fly, the FDL has too. The Alliance ships come close. For small, mobile targets, the Corvette sucks. Of course only if they are tough, if you can kill them in the first volley, the Corvette is fine. Amd if you use turrets, the DPS goes down so much that again other more mobile fixed weapons ships kill faster. Typically (no offense intended) the Corvette is the fastest killer for entry-level pilot skills.
@@BlueSideUp i prefer fdl, greater mobility, good hardpoints, and great shield, but corvette its so easy to use for anyone. I think nobody use turrets (they are so bad), maybe gimballed but no turrets
What can actually tank a freaking engineered Corvette? I don't think an engineered Conda would. Shame, that I need a positive and significant reputation with the federation. Otherwise I want this ship 👍🏻🙂
Thermal conduits running nice and hot, haha!

Hey man. Hey.
Your temperature is critical

Agreed. I daily a T-10 and this is hilarious
just slap some frags on a t10... couple of second kill
200K seems mighty low for a Corvette kill. Nice kill but I'd hate to see the shape your internal modules are in after all that time in the oven lol

It says 200k but you get much more in reality he probably got like a mil or smth off that

MRPs do not protect modules from heat damage. They take heat dmg equally.
Nice kill! Now with that so much heat, you'll be able to raise the whole system temperature by 10°C 🤣🤣
Ah yes classic battling Ram
Get a heatsink on that thing and you're unstoppable.

This was a long time ago and that was my first Vette test drive! My Vette now days is fully done up now and very hard to stop!
@@ILLWILL03420 Well I’ve also noticed now that pirates are still pretty dumb.
Let me know when you decide to put some good weapons on there
Anyone else annoyed that the ship moves in the same direction the thrusters are firing in? Thats the exact opposite of how thrusters work.
He won the coin toss and elected to receive. Unfortunately, bro was not prepared for what he would be receiving.

Unless you are caustic goo on the outside of the ship, then you would be fried :)
in my experience 140% obliterated my fsd in like 30 seconds or something
People now survive a minute at 3000% with that new SCO. So, a temperature less than 500% doesn’t bother me anymore :)
I have was having fight, 2 vettes, 15 min fight, engenired PVP
I use s4 fixed burst overcharged lasers with intertial impact.
Only 200k for a Corvette? i had Cobras with Bounty on them my man you got sqamed XD
Why does it run so hot? Never seen a build like that.
This was before engineering
my lord, took you how long and cooked yourself how much... jesus.
imma firin mah lazor

My Cutter can do the same (but without its shields and internals being even scratched) - you can use it instead if don't like feds
A PvP Paci Conda will out DPS a PvP Vette in a 4,0,2 waltz, forget about the Cutter lol
holy shit it got melted
Which one? The NPC or the player?
I use the corvette to destroy the corvette
try a fully engineered fragconda. It will be bonkers
NPC? lol
Commanders have a hollow icon on the radar, so yes this was an NPC
🤣Chewed him a new one. GG
W billy bones
I’ve done this in a hauler with a standard pulse lazzzzzeerrrrrr 👍🏻
Help me mom, it's very hot in here...😅
toasty
hey... it's an npc... ffs ;]
I can do the same to a player corvette :D
That just shows, how unbalanced this game became.
Cry about it
It's an npc with a shitty build that can't fly. I've killed player corvettes like that in my Viper, it's not unbalanced
its an deadly npc, very easy to kill with any ship. Not unbalanced
Multi-player crap. Ugh!
No it was my first real PVE in a Vette! I use a Combat Orca for PVP Multiplayer crap now days🤣
