Can I be honest, haven't watched a video in a while due to Magic product fatigue. Shocked to come back and see Stephen has lost so much weight! Proud of you mate, that's the good endorphins I needed for this week!
As a note Gisela, Blade of Goldnight says prevent the damage rounded up. So if a 1/1 would attempt to deal damage it would be reduced to 0 damage. So at 58:58 Jeremy would have only taken 10 damage. The 7/7s would only deal 3, toski would be 0 and the bears deal 2 each.
This is also relevant with how Ram Through works and the fact that "lethal" damage is assigned to the creature before considering what Gisela will do to modify the damage. With Old One Eye in play, it is impossible for Gisela to be killed with Ram Through since it will always try to assign just the missing damage and Gisela will reduce that, eventually reducing 1 to 0. The first Ram Through should have assigned 5 (reduced to 2) to Gisela and 2 (reduced to 1) to Jeremy. The second should have assigned 3 (reduced to 1) to Gisela and 4 (reduced to 2) to Jeremy. They didn't happen, but: The third would have assigned 2 (reduced to 1) to Gisela and 5 (reduced to 2) to Jeremy. The fourth (and any past that) would have assigned 1 (reduced to 0) to Gisela and 6 (reduced to 3) to Jeremy.
This is also one of many times in the history of this show where they do not get the ruling of Gisella's abilities right. Many times in the early days of CMDVS, someone died when they shouldn't have with her on the battlefield.
Shared Fate is a beautiful mess of a Magic card. I remember having a game end where I had a Shared Fate in play and every player in the game had an empty library but no one could lose because the replacement effect of Shared Fate stops you from actually drawing. No one had any creatures left and no one had any way to remove Shared Fate. Game should have been a stalemate, but everyone else conceded before they came to that realization so I 'technically' won. Definately one of my more memorable games of Magic!
At 57:00, not sure why Jeremy just doesn’t take everything and deal 20 damage to Steven’s face. Then he would kill both Steven and John on the crack back. (Blocking any creatures that make sense)
I don't doubt Steven could have probably answered the Archon and Gisela with the insane amount of cards he was drawing, but the misplay at the end should have stuck imo. Jeremy did clarify that it would die several times. Either way, very fun game with some very funny decks. Stevens reaction when he realized the deck Corey stole was golden, totally worth losing the point lol
Man, that Damia deck was awesome. It's a shame it never made it to at least one upkeep. The power level of cards nowadays is so fun sapping. All rules text, no flavor. Makes me appreciate the simple things.
The more I watch these the more I realize Corey is just playing with 3 friends that need a 4th. Kinda meh when he is the target for the most part, props to him for keeping it light I would of lost it by now lol.
Pretty much been that way for a long time. It is very annoying to see over and over again and most of the time it is Green initiating it and the outer two watching it happen.
He cracked the code though. He isn't stupid, he just is chipper as all get out, getting paid to play the game. Dying just means you can go home to family or get to the next game. I used to not like the guy honestly but now I just admire him.
Jeremy definitely gets stomped on more than Corey. These guys all know each other and have for years, he's on the cast for a reason. I feel like it's pretty weird to read into the show gameplay to see the inner workings of the play group. Going back to previous iterations, Stephen and Justin would be at each other's throats all game.
Austere command should have blown up Utopia sprawl and the blue enchantment from LOTR should have tempted Corey with the ring I think. Just so ya know ;)
Actually I don’t think the ring thing would tempt Corey here The ability had a target that became illegal, so would be countered on resolution due to no longer having a legal target

So my understanding is Stephen was asked multiple times about the death trigger, said yes, then as it was gonna happen, he realized he would lose the game, so only then invoked a takeback? That seems like cheating at that point. Just gross, really.
Bruh adolf? Take backs are for like "I tapped wrong" or "I meant to do this in another order, can I do it that way?" Not for "oh an effect is resolving that is losing me the game, I'll rewind to not block". I do not understand commander players, I guess, but adolf is a disgusting thing to say to someone with Jewish heritage.
@@Jidayunmost people in a casual format, are fine with you taking back actions that you didn’t know gave advantage to another player as it is seen as something you wouldn’t want to do and therefore in all fairness you can undo it, also how on earth would he know you have Jewish heritage, you are literally some random guy on YT comments.
Who is the GENIUS that thought slapping interview-like edits between the games to explain a deck we are watching being played.. was an idea worth implementing? Dudes, you are better than "game knights" (or whatever that dull channel is called)!
Calm down, it's just them telling us what the idea behind the decks is. They used to do this right before they start the game but now do it a couple turns in, it's a stylistic choice I guess. But it's nothing like the Game Knights commentary inserts (which I think are totally fine, it's just a different type of gameplay presentation).

Thanks Stephen for playing my deck. Great games as usual.
Congrats, you made a great one!

stephen cheated jeremy said enchantments off auster command and he didnt put the enchantment off his land into the gy
"Put something into play" and "play" is not the same thing. You don't trigger "when you play a land" effects while ramping
What card does not trigger from ramping
@@theaamanable Horn of greed, for example
Phew, what a game! Great to see the guys playing to have fun! It seems that the last couple of videos were made to promote MH3
Corey chose the wrong art for mystic remora though. It should have been the one from dominaria remastered.
I saw that and wondered if anyone else at the table was going to call him out on it 😂.
Favourite bit of this game has to be trying to guess Corey's theme, hilarious 😂
Unless Jon had a sideboard, why was death wish in the deck? Omg that deck is so great!

Is it me or the end of the game got cut off???
My also got cut off the end of the game . Who won ?
Why don't they ever intervene to save another player? Doesnt it give another point for saving someone? I never see it happen though.
I've seen it. It happens like once or twice a season. But there was one season like 3 seasons ago where it happened like 5 games in a row i think.
Clearly it’s just to maximize spite lol, Steven has infected everyone with his mindset
Are they playing edhijinks music?
Where's the scroll on Mystic Remora?
Corey used the wrong art. The borderless one from Dominaria Remastered has one! 😂
Hey, that's my deck!
Congrats! Which one??
@@SCGCommander The scroll deck! 😉
Ha that was a good one!
That deck was just awesome 👍
Was the fan request that Jeremy be in the red chair?
Because that would be mine, honestly. Can Jeremy just stay in the read chair the whole season?
Missed bleep at 34:53 😂
😳
Just don't tell the guys lol
You guys should do Alphabet Soup again. Just like in season 7. Just make sure there is a “v” and not a “y” 😂.
do you do any guest games? I live around an hour away from roanoke and I would love to be a guest if available.

Oh definitely but then this is a friendly group of players who take back quite a lot.
Maybe in a tournament. I'll untap all my stuff when you play a land. Because its a game with friends. Relax adolf...
