  • This is Chez, he has only had a few hours of practice with an instructor and some practice with family in his own car. His test is coming up in a months time and this is his first mock test. This mock test humbled him and made him realise what he needs to focus on going forward.

    he mentioned being competitive about passing with the least hours, however i hope he realises that its more important to be a safe driver than a unsafe competitive one and doesn't allow the competitiveness get the best of him as we seen his frustration take over at some points. irrespective of that, i hope he continues to take more lessons to be the great driver he is destined to become :)

      It alarms me sometimes that some young drivers boast about passing after only like 6 or 7 lessons, I was taking my time I had about 30-35 private lessons before I passed. I'm now 31 years old passed at 20 AND was also having provisional lessons too.

    The instructor has the patience of a saint!! This channel is by far the best I've found on driving instruction and offers a real insight into what's required when taking your driving test. It's a fantastic bonus that the instructor narrates over the footage, in the edit, giving a real professional insight to everything going on...a woman with brains and immense beauty is a formidable combination, which makes for a brilliant channel overall

    6 hours of driving lessons is NOTHING, I personally passed with 40 hours and that's when it starts to be enough for an individual to drive safely, being used to hazards, reaction to them responsibly and calmly. We all know driving lessons can be expensive, but it's more important for everyone to drive properly all by themselves in a safe way. Better take the few extra hours just to be sure that you're gonna be fine all by yourself later on.

    What if the "straight ahead" exit road isn't parallel with the road you started on before the roundabout, but is a few degrees off?
    So what I mean is, is their a grey area between calling an exit "straight ahead" instead of calling it 1st/2nd/3rd/4th.. left?
    Or is the "straight ahead" exit the one that is closest to being parallel with the road you started from? Cause that could be ambiguous.

    Yeah he had a bit of a thing of approaching too fast to things or braking quite late so not leaving much of a distance e.g. at traffic lights or behind other cars for tyres and tarmac. It got better though as the test went on. The thing about the wider right turn to then go in the left lane onto the dual carriageway is an interesting point, and he may have had the same thought as me for a second that it may have been one of those where two lanes are able to turn right, and so he didn't want to cut anyone off. The mirror check on entering the road should've shown this though I guess

    @keith6400 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    He seems a nice guy but has technical issues; you do not beckon pedestrians across the road in front of you. I think he needs to speed up and slow down more to deal with hazards like mini-roundabouts and keep track of where you are and what you are doing on larger roundabouts. Overtaking is problematic on test as you cannot exceed the speed limit. It is tempting on a dual-carriageway but a slow moving lorry is accelerating hard to maximum speed limit 0 - 60 mph in 30 seconds, they are sluggish but still trap you in a catch-22 situation.. You do not need to pass in fewer lessons than your sister, to be competitive just aim to be ultimately a far better quality safe driver.

    he appears to be one of those drivers that just want to pass to show off to thier friends without actually taking it seriously 😐 could cause a serious crash

    in my view of point; first, understand and be easy with the vehicle that you are driving....so that you can focus on other things around. Unless you get comfortable and smooth with the vehicle, forget about the tests. :)

    Funny guy, it's probably just friendly jokes but I hope he realises his competitive nature has no place on the road :)

    I’m from Australia if this is what he was doing with a instructor here they wouldn’t told him to pull over and swap or drive home no way he would’ve finished or even passed a real test😅

    Isn’t there new rule to give way to pedestrians waiting to cross ? Or is it only when turning into side road from the main road ?

    • @gss6531
      @gss6531 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a law, just a suggestion. Pedestrians shouldn't be in the roads until it's clear there's no cars turning. Just turning pedestrians into another liability instead of suggesting common sense.

    You are very patient. I would have told him to keep quiet and focus. I wish focus and attitude were marked as well as driving skills. I found this super triggering and annoying to watch because of his behaviour.

      The white Audi was coming at speed, you have to consider how the driver ahead if approaching, as it was a gap but the guy infront was approaching too fast
      So that’s why it makes it a fault

    Not to sound harsh but I had done maybe 10 hours with a parent when I started my lessons...and all throughout my lessons up until I passed I never drove this reckless. Granted I was 29 with a full motorbike licence so the time to be competitive was well behind me. There was a point where he did a U turn at a mini roundabout on the video and he was just going WAY too fast for the conditions.
