I think you would enjoy the Wallflower video from Jinjer. Very artistic videography

Checkout their videos for Wallflower and Disclosure. Also the official music videos (not live versions) of Judgement & Punishment and Perennial. All very beautifully shot shot films if you will. All amazing sings too!

I interpret the lyrics as being about a man who slowly loses his mind over obsessive thoughts. In the video, the obsession is represented by the vortex as it pulls in all of the garbage and negativity from the world. All of that crap coalesces inside his head into this raging monster that drives him mad.

I love that interpretation of the lyrics in relation to the video!

Exactly. I like the final implosion of the monster at the end.

Indeed. Infact, the part of the building you see break off and get sucked into the black hole at 10:40 is the room they are in and the trash golem isn't really formed until the room fully disappears into the vortex

Undulated, great word. Jinjer's video team always knocks it out of the park. I haven't seen a single one of their OMV's I would call weak.

Even Ape's video, that got a lot of criticism when it came out, has grown on many of the haters. Despite that, it lead Eugene to quit his role as the person responsible for the band's videos and to hand over that job to someone more capable, so capable that the next video was the masterpiece that is Perennial's OMV. 🙂

Ha!! I thought that to myself as I said it, great word! Lol. They really are a fantastic band and their videos are great. Thanks for watching!

Making good videos is so hard and also, it's expensive! Good for them for being able to hire such great people to make their videos now. I can only imagine they will keep getting better.

I feel like the folks who make their videos show grander aspirations as filmmakers, and love the opportunity to present their work for an international audience though Jinjer's videos. They very seldom just do a video. And for their part, it seems like Jinjer never skimps on their videos, reinvesting a chunk of what they make into having some of the best videos in the business.

You will love the production of the video Wallflower by Jinjer...especially if you want a message. Or the video Homeback depicts the war in Ukraine awesome videography in that

This is a fantastic song with a really great video. If you haven't seen Sabaton's Bismark video, I think you'll enjoy it a lot.

I am not a filmmaker, but I always assumed all the effects, including the city are cgi. The monster is made of trash, not drawing it in. The so-called black hole was the vortex of the title. I did enjoy your breakdown of the video.

Awesome analysis! Jinjer really put a ton of thought into their videos. Another fun one you will get a kick out of would be Sick, by The Warning.

Also, the Warnings XXI century blood, it's more cinematic.
But sick is Awesome especially for being shot with IPhones.
      🤘🤘
      Great reaction/analysis.
      Subbed can't wait for (more).
Also a great the Warning video. 😊

When the scene in the room starts becoming blurry and intensifies until you cannot see many details anymore I'm reminded to the post-effect of motion blur in video games. This is when you were talking about dropping frames which sounds like a filmmakers' trick. As an 3d enthusiast I'm imagining the resulting images as an extreme, over the top motion blur on moving objects where real motion blur would be more subtle.

Great reaction. Jinjer has become one of my all time favorite bands for sure.
If I could offer a suggestion on a video that you might really enjoy from a filmmakers perspective: Ren, Money Game Part 3. Should you choose to watch it, go in knowing it's all live audio and there is only one cut in the entire video. You being a filmmaker will be able to spot it, but most laymen wouldn't. (And no, it's not in the beginning of the song, don't let the camera move fool you, you'll see.)
    Subbed.

@manondereeper He is a whole different kind of rabbit hole. Multi genre, extremely talented. My driving around playlist is almost exclusively Ren and Jinjer. Quite different styles, but somehow, it works for me.

Been enjoying listening to your film maker insight on your videos, one I think you would really enjoy is the Deep in the Willow / Everything is Quiet Now singles video by Knocked Loose. It’s got quite an A24 feel to it and was co-directed by the vocalist, Bryan Garris

JInjer has done a number of interesting music videos, and other comments have listed a few of them. Several songs have both concert videos and a more cinematic version.
    Complete mini-movies:
    Judgement and Punishment
    Wallflower
    Disclosure
The following help illustrate songs but don't rise to the level of the above three in storytelling:
    Home Back
    Perennial
    On The Top
    I Speak Astronomy
    Pit of Consciousness
    Mediator
    Cloud Factory
    Retrospective
This is not even a complete list, just the better ones IMHO. Tatiana also appeared in Twelve Foot Ninja's video for Over and Out, which less serious but quite good.

What distracts me a bit is that the building 3D model looks the same than in Home Back official video, which is definitely not located in the States.
But apart from that, both videos are excellent.

My interpretation (and I am usually way off the mark) is that the Vortex symbolises a certain leader of a neighbouring country, sucking the life out of Ukraine.

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.
