is it possible to get the annual fees waivered for the AMEX Gold Card even if I apply for the card while being active duty and then apply for the SCRA? I called customer service and they couldn't give me an answer, they pretty much want me to apply for the card first which I am not going to do unless I know for sure I wont have to pay the annual fees
If you apply while being in the military you should have MLA enrollment automatically, if you don’t you can call a few days after you opened your account to request second review.
Hi Adam! I'm trying to find out if chase would also waive the annual fee for a future Sapphire Reserve, I have chase freedom unlimited now and AMEX platinum and opened it before my Call to active duty, I was hoping to apply for CS next and the cobranded CC from AMEX too. I've read some post that AMEX also waives the annual fee for the new credit cards as long as you have opened an account with them before CAD But not sure if Chase would also waive the fees for the future CC applications or would I just need to upgrade/change product my freedom unlimited to sapphire reserve to have the fee waived?
What if i am on active duty as a reservist and i get the fee waived. What happens the next year if i am not on active duty orders? Do i still have to pay the annual fee?
@@morena3441 just call Amex and tell them you are a service member and would like to apply your scra . They might ask for your order or not depends .. applies to all other credit cards and auto loan as well ..
America Express fees are waived even AFTER you are no longer active duty or is it only for active duty members and once you are no longer active the yearly fee is charged?
My question is will those Fees continue to be waived even after your contract is over ?
I have the same question but I really doubt it though
No unfortunately, I wish they did though
Have to be active duty. Idk if it applies to active reservists or not.
Thanks for the video. However, the video editing is horrible. Everything is cut off as if it was filmed in portrait mode on a cell phone. Just FYI.
No

Yes, they check and will charge you once your active duty status is gone. Same for retired military.
Hi adam, thanks for the info. Would you know if veterans are entitled to this as well?
Probably not
Gotta be active duty. I wonder if they do it for active reserves though, for my buddy?
