I think Carrie must have a conflict configuration on her birth chart, one part of her loves Big, the other part hate him. Aiden fulfilled her the other part, but she missed big the other part.
Big liked Carrie. Of course he does... she is fun, pretty, smart and in love with him. But he wasnt crazy in love with her. And thats my friends is BAD .
It seems to me that Big was trying his best with her. And isn't her style part kitsch anyway? Every girl likes tacky, sparkly things once in a while. It's not a crime.
People don't get this scene xD In real life this wouldn't be a problem. But in the show, this scene is like a metaphor. The purse symbolizes how Mr.Big doesn't really know anything about Carrie. "I saw it and I thought of you" he said, but then Carrie goes to the event and watches all these other women carrying the same type of purse. This means that Mr. Big thinks of Carrie as any other woman he encounters, she isn't special.
What we like changes over time. I know I don’t like lots of the stuff what I wore 10 years ago. And now some of the stuff I never thought I will like, now I do. I think same thing with that purse. At that time it was so wrong for Carrie.

carrie is a pick me chick thats why big marries Natasha
What is a pick me chick?
Diego León Pretty much a woman who allows a man to mistreat her or act selfishly because she thinks that if she says by his side through all of it, in turn, he would respect and love her. The definition of Carrie to Big to be honest.
yeah but natasha didn't dress like a hooker so there's also that....
Carrie doesn't dress like a hooker either. She just dresses in a creative manner. Different doesn't equal to dressing like a hooker.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged Carrie did dress provocatively in ways that weren't classy. Natasha wouldn't be caught dead showing her body off the way Carrie did. Nobody is shaming carrie but she slept around a lot and dressed in ways that invited sexual attention for her brief hook ups. the actor for big said Carrie was a whore. So sorry. It sums up why Big picked Nastasha. Carrie was a pick me and thats why Big picked Nastasha
Ugh. And there’s nothing she can do about it. But maybe he’s just not one to Fall crazy in love anymore. He’s done that one to many times already.
But he was in love with her .. just not in the silly fairy tale princess shallow sense
In real life Big dated Charlotte thou 🤩such a good acting
Really?
Since when did Chris Noth date Kristen Davis? The tabloids would've been all over it had it been true.
Carrie and Big are fabulous
Big is so perfect!
I just love satc
I don't think she slept with the guy. They were like fully closed!
Closed?
@@janinejohnson5014 she meant clothed
Wow, Judith Lieber! 😍
You know what, she stands up for Jeremiah and his performance art, but laughs at petrovskys performance art piece in season 6....
Lol true!
It wasn't Petrovsky's piece...
bigs the man
And the only bad thing about that purse is that she wore that tacky table cloth outfit with it.
It seems to me that Big was trying his best with her. And isn't her style part kitsch anyway? Every girl likes tacky, sparkly things once in a while. It's not a crime.
oh no I'd rather a book.
To be fair that is a truly hideous purse.
Big married her because he was getting old and the options were running out...if he truly loved her there wouldnt be other options to begin with 🤣🤣🤣🤣😋
Everything in their relationship was SO WRONG
People don't get this scene xD In real life this wouldn't be a problem. But in the show, this scene is like a metaphor. The purse symbolizes how Mr.Big doesn't really know anything about Carrie. "I saw it and I thought of you" he said, but then Carrie goes to the event and watches all these other women carrying the same type of purse. This means that Mr. Big thinks of Carrie as any other woman he encounters, she isn't special.
No, others have pointed out Big was trying to mold Carrie into a certain type of posh NY woman.
What we like changes over time. I know I don’t like lots of the stuff what I wore 10 years ago. And now some of the stuff I never thought I will like, now I do. I think same thing with that purse. At that time it was so wrong for Carrie.
Sometimes I wonder if this was an unofficial sugar daddy -sugar baby relation.
Such a drama queen ugh
Love him lol
He was so rude to her...
At 3.28 her hair and top are beautiful
I'm going to keep it real I understand where big is coming from because I feel the same damn way when I say I love you it gets me into a lot of trouble.
And more heartbreak is too much for me.
I'll pass I love you
I say "I love your doggie style"
Carrie was just plain stupid. Big and Carrie are from totally different worlds and that purse was Big's invitation to Carrie to join him in his world. So what did she do? She behaved like a toddler.
the way she shuts d mouth of d other guy lol
most definately. Men are so not forgiving, eve tho they just got drunk & kissed. & despite his flaws, Big never cheated on Carrie.
What about when he was in Paris and met Natasha and got engaged? I don't see him being faithful to Carrie whatsoever.
Sarcastically Deranged I thought they were taking a break from each other at that time ?
I love those lil purses. Like art
I wish they made another sex and the city of the other episodes
Ja ja ja hasta comiendo
es odiosamete adorable😍😍😍
big is so fine 😫
The swan purse >>> Eclectic style has an irony to it...that purse was not ironic, it was just an expensive bejewelled swan, something an uptight old lady who thought she was being young, hip and "cool" would wear
