Love this whole scene for a variety of reasons. Mainly, she has zero temptation to sleep with him and zero self-doubt. Not questioning herself or him at all. This is the place we all need to be in our relationships. The first part - where they fall into the pond and laugh their asses off - reminds me of what was SO lacking in the movies - their sense of humor and silliness together. That's when they are both at their best - when they are able to laugh together at themselves.

Oh wow. I can tell you most definitely have never lived anywhere other than the city. Pond water is that color because of sediment and dirt that’s on the bottom....dirt, you know the stuff that’s under grass? Lmao 😂 it’s not smelly water. It’s a natural body of water. Obviously you don’t drink it. But swimming in it is not harmful at all. Possibly might be a little more dingy than most ponds/lakes because boats stir up the sediment and it never has time to settle back down and clear up...but it’s not dangerous or gross. I have lived in the mountains in the middle of nowhere my whole life and I have swam in literally dozens of ponds and lakes and rivers. It’s actually much more enjoyable than a pool. I have never once swam in any pond or lake that stank or left me smelling bad. You just smell like nature. Like that grass smell when someone mows their lawn. It’s a common sense thing that you obviously shower after you swim in a pond or lake...but it’s not going to hurt you of make you nasty. People shower after swimming in pools....it’s the same as a lake. Actually most lakes are cleaner than pools. Nasty ass chlorine and bleach chemicals and little kids piss and shit floating around....fucking city people make me sick.
Big seems to be an unrealistic type of narcissist who in real life would never settle in marriage with a Carrie type of woman. She'd be discarded like an old pair of shoes. It's also tragic for a Carrie type of woman to have to tip-toe all her life around such an abso-fucking-lute hollow type of world. Such men are simply annihilating.
