The last time i took it into the apple store because the rubber base had come off, the young guy who served me laughed at it and summoned his (even younger) colleague over to look at it as they'd never seen one before according to him. Ridiculed over my laptop :( I had the same experience when i took my really, really, really ancient iPod classic in too. They gave me a brand new one for £30 because he said i'd looked after it so well and it was so old! :D
As a writer myself, this hits me particularly hard. Made the same mistake when I was first starting out and lost everything I had worked on up until that point. Everything! And I mostly wrote a good chunk of it cold from the computer itself so I had absolutely no notebooks or papers I could fall back on. So I pretty much had to start my book all over from scratch. Worst experience of my life.

Any time I read negative comments about Carrie, I am convinced that people don’t want to admit that we’ve all had a Carrie moment or phase in our own lives. To me, she isn’t necessarily a hero or anything, but she is an example of the human experience and she is one of those characters we never wanna be later on in life but deep down, can be or be capable of being. She is definitely one of my favorite tv female characters because she as a woman, shows these sides of herself that are ugly and unappealing. She had as many ugly moments as well as many beautiful moments too.

We woman’s want to have an Aiden BUT the moment we have him he is not enough, don’t get me wrong he seems to be PERFECT but he needs to make her respect him as a man and make her think before she speaks, if we don’t have that balance in a guy is not going to work!
The two of them were just not compatible. Carrie was nasty to Aidan because she was trying to make herself like him, be the kind of woman she "should" be. Going against your own grain is never going to work. They wanted very different lives, very different things -- even if they'd gotten married, it would have ended in disaster.

Aidan was way, _way_ too good for Carrie and she definitely didn’t deserve him but at the same time she didn’t want a sweet, kind and considerate guy like Aidan. Carrie thrived on drama, she constantly wailed and whined about how Big wouldn’t commit to her or treat her right but then she LOVED to run to her friends when Big or her messed up, have them gather round her and listen as she moaned about how crap her relationship was while they sympathetically cooed and clucked over her. The second film really shows this when she finally gets the committed relationship with Big but of course gets bored without all the drama so she happily goes to the hotel where Aidan is staying in a very slutty dress to have dinner with him. Then after kissing him she runs screeching to her friends demanding they all listen to her panic about the craved drama she caused. Also, it was so annoying how the writers made out like Carrie was oh so irresistible that she got Aidan to kiss her while being happily married with 3 young sons. This was so out of character for Aidan and he would have never done this in a million years but the writers _really_ wanted us to believe that Carrie was that special 🙄
Ahhh, the days before Dropbox, Google Drive, affordable external hard drives, etc. This is why I never kept a journal on a computer (no matter how much more convenient it is) I cringe whenever I see this scene

Honestly I get her reaction in that moment. I can't stand being touched when i'm extremely anxious either. All the rest of her attitude towards him in this clip was horrible though, especially accusing him of breaking her computer and acting ungreatful over him getting her a new one.

A lot of people think Carrie's being annoying in this clip -- I think that's the point lol. She's being irrational and dramatic and taking her frustration out on Aiden because she's freaking out about her computer breakdown -- which is meant to be a metaphor for her relationship with Aiden. They're not compatible, and that's the whole point. One of the best things about this show is that Carrie is a flawed character, and in some ways, undeserving of Aiden's affection. The point of her relationship with him is to demonstrate how people are never satisfied, evennnnnnn when they get exactly what they want...because people don't know what they want, until they get it and realise that it's not what they want. That's one of the most clever things about the way the show is written. Also, her annoyance at Aiden adds to the compedy of the situation, because it's so obviously over the top and misdirected.

My Partner and myself have been together for 18-years. I have hard drives crash and have lost everything. Pictures, music, letters. I still never learned. After the 3rd time, I FINALLY learned to back up my files. My partner, never understands the need. When his desktop finally crashed one day, I did everything I could to recover his files. I couldn't. I had bought him the best desktop computer for Christmas, and he rejected it. It wasn't until his old computer said no, and would not reboot, that he finally accepted the 2k desktop. Then, I had to pay close to 1k to recover all of his work files from his fried hard drive. Carries should be THRILLED that Aiden took the time to help her. I know my partner does, even though he pulled a 'Carrie"

All I noticed was that this Boyfriend was the Sweetest and Kindest and Most Caring with Carrie, but She hated everything about him, but She loved that other BIG guy that was a Jerk who broke her heart and married somebody else.
I think in general unhealthy relationships are romanticized. Aidan was a total catch. so unproblematic & not toxic at all. Rarely healthy couples stay together, in so many series, that's the concept.

Well... she maybe not relateble, but there are women and men out there, who are treating their partners that way. My older sister is an example for this. I visited my sister and her partner once (long term relationship), before she shunned me out her life. But this one day explained the shit show, which started years later. (I'm also not holy, I also got questionable behaviours. But at least I try to apologise and grow from it.)
I used to date guys like Mr. Big and Trey and finally I got fed up with it so I left for good. Then I met my Aiden/Harry and I realized just how much I was missing. He is the best thing to happen to me and having a partner who does little and big things to make me feel better and knowing I have the capacity to do that for him too is fantastic.

This is a tv show..fiction you and not real life you know..so it needs to be not perfect to have that tension between characters so they have a story.

Going against your own grain is never going to work. They wanted very different lives, very different things -- even if they'd gotten married, it would have ended in disaster.

Aidan was way, _way_ too good for Carrie and she definitely didn’t deserve him but at the same time she didn’t want a sweet, kind and considerate guy like Aidan. Carrie thrived on drama, she constantly wailed and whined about how Big wouldn’t commit to her or treat her right but then she LOVED to run to her friends when Big or her messed up, have them gather round her and listen as she moaned about how crap her relationship was while they sympathetically cooed and clucked over her.
The second film really shows this when she finally gets the committed relationship with Big but of course gets bored without all the drama so she happily goes to the hotel where Aidan is staying in a very slutty dress to have dinner with him. Then after kissing him she runs screeching to her friends demanding they all listen to her panic about the craved drama she caused. Also, it was so annoying how the writers made out like Carrie was oh so irresistible that she got Aidan to kiss her while being happily married with 3 young sons. This was so out of character for Aidan and he would have never done this in a million years but the writers _really_ wanted us to believe that Carrie was that special 🙄
Ahhh, the days before Dropbox, Google Drive, affordable external hard drives, etc. This is why I never kept a journal on a computer (no matter how much more convenient it is) I cringe whenever I see this scene

Honestly I get her reaction in that moment. I can't stand being touched when i'm extremely anxious either. All the rest of her attitude towards him in this clip was horrible though, especially accusing him of breaking her computer and acting ungreatful over him getting her a new one.

A lot of people think Carrie's being annoying in this clip -- I think that's the point lol. She's being irrational and dramatic and taking her frustration out on Aiden because she's freaking out about her computer breakdown -- which is meant to be a metaphor for her relationship with Aiden. They're not compatible, and that's the whole point. One of the best things about this show is that Carrie is a flawed character, and in some ways, undeserving of Aiden's affection. The point of her relationship with him is to demonstrate how people are never satisfied, evennnnnnn when they get exactly what they want...because people don't know what they want, until they get it and realise that it's not what they want. That's one of the most clever things about the way the show is written. Also, her annoyance at Aiden adds to the compedy of the situation, because it's so obviously over the top and misdirected.

My Partner and myself have been together for 18-years. I have hard drives crash and have lost everything. Pictures, music, letters. I still never learned. After the 3rd time, I FINALLY learned to back up my files. My partner, never understands the need. When his desktop finally crashed one day, I did everything I could to recover his files. I couldn't. I had bought him the best desktop computer for Christmas, and he rejected it. It wasn't until his old computer said no, and would not reboot, that he finally accepted the 2k desktop. Then, I had to pay close to 1k to recover all of his work files from his fried hard drive. Carries should be THRILLED that Aiden took the time to help her. I know my partner does, even though he pulled a 'Carrie"

All I noticed was that this Boyfriend was the Sweetest and Kindest and Most Caring with Carrie, but She hated everything about him, but She loved that other BIG guy that was a Jerk who broke her heart and married somebody else.
I think in general unhealthy relationships are romanticized. Aidan was a total catch. so unproblematic & not toxic at all. Rarely healthy couples stay together, in so many series, that's the concept.

Ugh, could Carrie be any more of the "nightmare girlfriend" or be more of the worst female stereotypes rolled up in one person? Not all women behave like this. She really isn't all that relatable.
Well... she maybe not relateble, but there are women and men out there, who are treating their partners that way. My older sister is an example for this. I visited my sister and her partner once (long term relationship), before she shunned me out her life. But this one day explained the shit show, which started years later.
(I'm also not holy, I also got questionable behaviours. But at least I try to apologise and grow from it.)

I used to date guys like Mr. Big and Trey and finally I got fed up with it so I left for good. Then I met my Aiden/Harry and I realized just how much I was missing. He is the best thing to happen to me and having a partner who does little and big things to make me feel better and knowing I have the capacity to do that for him too is fantastic.
