Great job. Love the comparative information between other headphones, including the LCD XC, which I still think is a major force v to be reckoned with after all these years when properly EQ’d.
Great review, whst do you use for EQ and do you have a video on how to do it. Btw, I am almost entirely deaf in my left ear as I had a small bone grow or move across my ear canal, is it possible to put these earphones into a mono signal or better yet, massively increase the volume output for my left ear. Its for FPS gaming, movies and particularly movie sound tracks such as from Braveheart and of course music, a lot of classical strings, piano and vocals like Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto, The Pirates of the Caribbean, Lehár Liebe - du Himmel auf Erden but also music like John Legend - All of Me, Metalica - Nothing Else Matters (many variations including purely electric violin & guitar or acapella) Pretty much anything from Pentatonix, favs from my childhood, Toni Braxton - Unbreak My Heart, Cyndi Lauper -Time After Time, Many songs by Belinda Carlisle, The Cranberries, Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm and many others. The long question bein, given my uses and particularly my taste in music, do you think these headphones would suit me? I'm unable to go anywhere to try before buying.
Hey. Off topic brother, but your squiglink auto eq has everything set to peaking and I don't know if that's why everything sounds to high pitch on my arctics nova pro wired. Just wondering if there should be high/low shelving n e where. Thanks 🍻
Great Video! I'm looking for a new wired "all in one" FPS/Story/Music/Movies headset which would you recommend between those 6 1- Logitech G Pro X 2- Hyper X Alpha S 3- Hyper X Cloud 3 4- Hyper X Cloud 2 5- Razer Kraken V3 6- Razer Blackshark V2 7- Steelseries Arctis Pro + Gamedac 8- Epos H6 Pro 9- Corsair HS80
Thanks for sharing. It’s strange with headphones we have the Harman curve and as a sort of neutral at least it’s neutral in the sense of presenting the sound more or less like what good loudspeakers sound in a good listening environment/room. Which is probably what led them to introducing a Allison dip in the 300 Hz range even though it’s more of a loudspeaker room interface problem than true to original. Anyway what I wanted to write before I derailed my own thoughts 🤔 was that there’s still a lot of room left for individual opinions of what makes a good listening experience. Personally I listen to almost exclusively acoustic music , classical/jazz, a dash of Leonard Cohen and that type of music, and podcasts. So for me a natural and relaxed sound without sibilants comes to the forefront. For these reasons I happen to dislike the Hifiman 1000 SE with its thin shrill sound. These Liric 2 seems to fit my listening wishes with a slight with just dash of adjustment in the 8 kHz range. My two pinnacle headphones as of now are the Dan Clark Audio E3 and HEDD Two. Hope you can get hold of these for reviews. Greetings from Denmark
Thanks so much! Great write-up! The Liric 2 is definitely still a bit bright on the top end, just not to Liric 1 levels. I will eventually be covering the E3 as soon as I can, but I'm unsure on the time frame just yet. HEDD Two, I haven't spoken to that team before but I can reach out at some point soon!
Very pretty headphones but uhhh that’s one too many 0s in that price tag for me lol Struggling settle on a good pair of movie watching headphone as an audio noob. $400 top budget with good soundstage and bass like a movie theater, any good suggestion guys? Thank you!!
Haha, sorry!! I have a few important videos like this I am releasing and then will pivot back to Pulse Explore vs Inzone Bud video. I promise it's not being forgotten!
Man those headphones are beautiful, the wood on the sides 🔥
Indeed! I love that it's a darker tone as well and not too bright. The lack of bright gloss helps keep it rather tame looking as well.
Great job. Love the comparative information between other headphones, including the LCD XC, which I still think is a major force v to be reckoned with after all these years when properly EQ’d.
Both empyrean headphones we priced at $3000 at release. So there was no bump when version 2 dropped
You should review the DCA E3! Great review btw.
Thanks so much! Planning on it when I can!
Wish I had the kind of money to go for these super high end headphones!
one day! Honestly though there are still much less expensive options that are amazing. It's more about enjoying your music than anything else!
Yea I really enjoy my Maxwells for the wireless conveniency while being good for both music and gaming@@GadgetryTech

2:22 Pulp fiction moment 😂
Hahaha I had to!
I’m sure you must already be planning to get your hands on a zmf bokeh (if not already). Any idea when we might see something on those?
That would interest me very much too!!
How would you compare these to the Dan Clark E3. I can’t believe that the pads are glued on the e3 model. What were they thinking?
I like a little brighter headphones (think HE-1000se). I'm shortlisting it a bit.
Nice! Yeah this is a pretty special pair. Especially if you want some sub bass to go along with the brighter presentation.

How does this pair against the DCA E3?
I am trying to get my hands on them at my studio. I need more time, but I think the E3 is a great option as well.
🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽

If you couldn't hear what price these are, you need a megaphone not earphone.
