I don't know what I was expecting the answer to be (to the question of "How do I weave something longer than my loom" but it certainly wasn't something this straightforward and genius. One of those real headslapping "Why didn't I think of that" moments. Thanks so much for sharing!
Clever! I've been trying to figure out a way to essentially do this - a bit like the frankenchild of a frame loom and a rigid heddle loom. Sometimes a heddle bar works better for a particular project than a rigid heddle. Thank you!
When you are rolling in the top part, do the stings have to stay in the slots all rolls down until you lock it in? I tried like 3 times and they do not want to stay in those slots even with the paper
Just started & want to buy a heddle bar to make it easier. Watched some videos on how to string the warp & seems confusing to me. Some warp only 1 while others say to do 2 strings. Help!
You don't know just how LONG I've been searching for a video like this 😂
I have that loom and wanted to make a scarf but until seeing this I knew it would be impossible! Thank you so much!! ❤

This is genius! Just what I wanted to know. Thank you.
This exactly solves what i needed! Thank you!!!
Thank you very very very very much because I did not know how easily this could be done ❤
Thank you so far you guys have provided to start weaving with

Wow!!! Yes! Yes! Yes!... Just what I needed...thank you!!!!
Tolle Erklärung, optimal, vielen Dank
This is so neat! But it looks like you’ve got to have some serious passion and patience to weave. I love to see how things are created from “scratch”.
Why didn't I think of that! Thank you

What do those brown paper looking strips do?
They prevent the warp threads from tangling.
Can I just leave it long on the table? Or does it HAVE to be wrapped around that bar? It's so loose when wrapped up. Please and thanks.
I was thinking this too, but imagine it would be awkward to weave the whole length of the table and would worry about the tension.
It doesn’t work for me :( because there is too much tension . How to fix that?

As someone getting into this hobby with a total of $7.25 in my wallet, I also want to learn to do things my frame loom was never meant to do XD
Your answer was to make a longer loom.
