  • This shows you how to set up the base of your weaving using the "Twining" method - with either cardboard strips or warp thread to align the warp threads and act as a base line for your tapestry or weaving.
Twining is a really handy weaving technique to know and can be used not only as a base for your weaving but also for use within weaving projects where you want to create a different texture or effect.
In this video I have used :
    (Weave Deck) Frame Looms
    Cotton warp thread. (8/8cc).
    Thanks for watching !
If you have any questions do feel free to ask, I shall do my best to answer your questions.

I just found your channel and you have the best and clearest explanations of any weaving instructions I’ve seen so far. I hope you intend to make more going forward because all of these are fantastic! Thank you!

Nice helpful video, thank you. As @lisajarvis3820 asked, please could you provide details about the loom shown at the very end where you tied the warp strings around the base? At least, what type of loom is this? Thank you again!

Hi Vicky, I bought that from someone in Belgium a long time ago but have since made more by using a knitting needle - and then clamping it and carefully drilling a couple of holes, side by side, to make a slit . If that makes sense ? I’m not sure where you can buy them, sorry . Hope that helps.
