Thank you! Your instructions were very easy to follow. Enlarging the paused video was very handy as your fingers and hands didn’t block what you were doing.
I like the idea of the simple frame loom, but I would like to weave wash rags and dish towels. Is this possible with your frame loom or is it more for tapestry?
Hey Jenny, it is possible to weave wash rags and dish towels on a frame loom, but they are more for tapestry, and other types of weaving would be more suitable. If you're a complete beginner I'd recommend looking at rigid heddle weaving as a starting point as the set up is simpler than a table loom, however, if you know that you're going to really get into weaving, i'd suggest skipping the rigid heddle and moving straight onto a four shaft table loom. It is more of a commitment from a learning perspective, but will give you many more options on the pattern front, and once you've got to grips with it, you'll be able to scale up to bigger looms with ease.
Thanks so much.😊 This was very easy to follow and you didn't rush through anything, which I appreciate. I also really appreciate that you spoke and did so clearly and concisely. Also, it was very easy to see what you were doing. So thanks again. 😊
Can you suggest a warp thread. All I have is sugar and cream cotton yarn and a whole lot of acrylic and wool yarn. The heddle bar didn't work with the cotton yarn. I just ended up removing the yarn and playing with a simple stringing up of the loom. I'll need to purchase warp thread.
