Yes, I confirm, as we get older, eating better and working out keep us going. I just turned 69. I’ve been doing this for 7 years and I’m as good as I was ten years ago. The old saying “if you don’t use it, you lose it”. Is true. Being active, living a life as you did when you were 40. Our bodies/minds are designed to be used.
every moment has the potential to be the best moment of your life. It’s all about mindset.
Loved Sisson's interview with Rogan, looking forward to watching! Keep doing your thing Tom! It's appreciated!
Thanks for Bringing Mark back on. Supplementation through ethical animal sources is the way to go. I was plant-based until my body could not. It's a really hard decision for ethical reasons but has made such a difference both mentally and physically. Eat local, from small conscious sources. I'm in Australia, so I eat Roo slow-cooked once a week, marine collagen and pasture-raised local eggs and that's all I need.
Thank you for having Mark on the show! One of the idols in health and fitness. Keep up the good work!
Wow I have been struggling with inflammation on both my achilles for about 2 years, I was even looking at stem cell therapy, since I've heard so many good things about it. This podcast has given me new hope, as I'm just starting to switch into a primal lifestyle.
instaBlaster.
Do it man!!! Get off the grains! Go primal! Do everything mark recommends. Let’s go!
How’d it work for you?
Idea for a video. Day in the life of Tom, from the time you wake up, so you have to get someone to assist with recording everything.
Pursue your passion and be consistent in your efforts and allow the compound effect to take you to your dream life!
Thanks for the summary:) that’s all I need
I'm here for this!
We need another video like this with Mark Sission.
I have an important question and haven't found this out yet. What principles can I teach my 10 year old daughter now? Knowing what we know about sugar and carbs, I am not sure if I should apply them to her. I firmly believe in Keto, IF and autophagy, and the conversations have all been around adults and aging. I want to instill in her good science and reasonable thinking, even now. I actually follow an "on-demand" diet for her, never insisting on the 3 meal-a-day philosophy. Basically, she only eats when she is hungry. That can be twice a day or 3 times. Luckily, she is a healthy eater (she picks vegetables above all else) but also eats a ton of pasta and rice. BTW, she is tall for her age and has a bit of a belly and skinny arms and legs. She is also calm and intelligent, so no problems with hyperactivity or ADHD, etc. I want to make sure I'm not doing this "wrong" for her age. Thanks for any or all tips!
Amazingly informative - thank you! I’m intermittent with my intermittent fasting but feel a sense of renewed motivation to be consistent with it! And to maximise energy to optimise life - boom! Love your tube content!
@laura alliss
Hello 👋
GREAT DISCUSSION! And I can’t really think of anything else that I would need to say about it. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️
I completely agree!
I love the reality show idea! & Mark is an amazing guest!
Update guys! Completed reading another book. Book count: 279 😊
What book and what were the three main takeaways you got from it?
How have you changed as a person after having read so many books if at all?
Do you have any new favorites?
Why would i care?
Great job is that this year?
Mark is a true guru - knows his shit!
Thank you both! Tom you effect me ...everytime! Truly thank you for all your hard work
This is awesome! Thank you for making this, Tom!
Lisa and Tom have ruined all other interviewers for me! Freaking love them!!!!!!!
Haha, I agree!
Tom you ask the best questions. Thank you!
I love this interview:) Thank you both ❤
Tom Bilyeu needs to learn to stop interrupting his guests in the middle of talking. More than a few times, Mark was saying something interesting and was cut off in mid-sentence by Tom. JEEZ!!!
I agree, and it happens with all of his guest speakers, wish Tom would write his questions down and save it for when the guest is done with their train of thought, because, likely his questions will be answered after the guest's sentence is finished. Also, sometimes I wonder why someone would agree to go on his show, knowing they are going to be constantly interrupted.
I think this just shows that USA needs to change their food pyramid and instead of politics 24/7 on the news, to emphasize on human kind, kindness etc and the concepts of health, no gimmicks just proper eating and showing people how to heal themselves with diet/mental awareness etc. These are not new concepts but I am glad that Mark Sisson has found his niche to help his body.
They will never change the official food pyramid.. Too many interests, Carbs make people sick, it is cheap food, people get sick, pharmaceutical company get tons of money from treatment and medicines. They don’t care at all about people dying; we are just number they care about money. Very sad.
Kindness??? The whole world needs that, where have you been? Plus America isn't the only FAT country, the entire world could use better education on diet 😂🤭🤭
Holy cow! That is so much to take in and understand at one time! But amazing interesting! So powerful! Where do I follow him! Just tell me what to eat! I need help now ,as I am learning! Impressive!
Thanks Tom. Really interesting and useful.
Binge watching your content and feeling so elevated from all the learning!! Truly grateful. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Remember to try and dedicate 20% of your time to doing research and 80% to taking action to achieve optimal results.
I lost 14 lbs easily without ever experiencing hunger or cravings and without living in ketosis.
It's interesting to find Mark and realize i had stumbled on to his philosophy on my own. I have so many friends who did keto and it worked but they couldn't keep it up. It's too hard.
I have a glass of wine when i want, i even eat a potato with Greek yogurt 1-2 times a week (delicious) and i don't gain weight.
Amazing video tom !!
New subscriber and excited to live a healthier lifestyle
Love what you do Tom 💗
Love the idea of the "vegan vs plant-based twins" and thank you for what you do Tom /|\
Jaw dropping interview!
Exactly what was the part that dropped your jaw?
Perfect, this going to be great!!
Living awesome is to be positive i thinking no worries be financially sound contented in life confidence sharing wealth feeling good when helping others taking care of self looking good being able to buy what a want always having stamina loving the job I do knows how to handle the negavity of the workers around me just thinking they’re just really jealous discrimination no way toughness and smart 🇸🇽🇺🇸
Metabolic flexibility 💪🏻
*An awesome includes many aspects! Eating healthy, getting enough sleep, socializing, exercising, and personal stuff. There is the foundation then there’s the personal preference* 🙏
What is yours?
Working on the social aspect. Suffered alot from social anxiety.
Abhishek how is it actually? Well, obviously anxiety means ur afraid of people, but are there other reasons or symptoms? And how do u go about it?
Breakfast probably IS the most important meal of the day. There is a shit-ton of evidence for this. Much much better to skip dinner than to skip breakfast. Also, if you eat breakfast and lunch, especially rich in protein, you'll find that appetite for dinner is less or gone.
@@dvoss8002 Ha. Sorry, friend, I don't have time to compile a bibliography for you. Some other time perhaps. But there is indeed a wealth of literature on this subject, and NO it is not all funded by Kelloggs. (Though some of it IS, which is why you have to be picky.) You can find lots of it easily, without my help, if you're interested.
I do Breakfast & lunch 18/6 fast I eat within my working hours I have physical job so I think it’s win win for me
Im vegan for ethics so not sure about half of this applying to my life but it’s interesting to hear this perspective! I do intermittent fasting though for 14-16 hours everyday and I love it!
You should really get some animal protein instead of torturing yourself
Amino acids chelate making it possible for mineral and nutrient absorption.
love this interview Tom👌
I have trained myself that if I know a food is good for me it tastes great
However, unfortunately I still enjoy sugar
So foods I know are bad for me I still like
Do I lose the ability to burn carbs or do I get worse at it if I do keto for a long time?
You should phase in and out. Get your body adapted to both forms of energy. You'll go back into ketosis easy.
How many grams of collagen did he say he took a day for his tendonitis ?
It takes a great deal for somebody or something to change a person's life. So it has to be one of the most ego feeding things to hear.
@olga anisimova.
Hello dear
Hugs from Brazil.
What affirmation would you tell yourself to get out of the belief that breakfast is the most important meal and really nail down the new belief that you should just eat whenever you feel like you need to. Just listen to your body, it knows what it's doing.
I just put waaaay too much garlic salt in my chili
This is Awesome Life Geek reporting! Let's see how it aligns with my obsession of decoding how to live an awesome life.
The thing with aminoacid profile of meat is needed is total bs. I am 44. Vegan . Full of muscles . Full of mobility. Looking atleast 10-15 years younger according to what i hear on daily basis. Doing lot of challanges physically . Achieving still personal bests at this age after beeing an athlete since my 20s. Believe it or not.
Vegan lifestyle is 100% superior on all levels. Only weak mind or unexpirienced mind or uneducated minds would ever claim something different.
100% less suffer for youself and for everything around you too.
Stop beeing that weak and looking for stupid reasons to staying stupid.
Besides that
Thanks a lot for all the other
good points that got something right and better to it.
33:20 What body part is Mark talking about? English is not my mother tongue.
Peter S. The Achilles’ tendon. It’s the big tendon that runs from the back of the heel of the foot upward to the calf. 😉
I think people also have to ask themselves am I doing this to prove something to myself or other people..
How do to know what humans ate millennia ago? There is no written history.
Laboratory tests and various anthropological methods...
Cosby … laugh out loud !
Poor jello
You should have Niman Delgado on to show how you have to eat meat 💪
That would be an interesting conversation...
Good interview but you seem to interrupt him a lot
Fulfilment can only come from Christ our hearts is restless until rest in Ther
Would have been better without the f-bombs towards the end. Undid so much of the good. You’re smart enough to express your ideas and feelings with out it.
Total bromance during the interview.
I have some questions. Ok, he was a elite athlete, etc. What does that have to do with the present? The title says melt your fat and get in the best shape of your life.
How come he's out of shape? How come it is not working for him? What someone looked like in the past is irrelevant. Being in shape should be for life.
If someone wants to preach to me about burning fat and getting in shape, but he looks out of shape, why in the world would I listen to him?
Don't tell me what you did and looked like in the past. SHOW ME HOW YOUR SO-CALLED strategies are working for you now, in the present.
It's not so easy to stay in shape in your 60s, eh? When you figure that out, then you can preach about burning fat. You are out of shape with plenty of fat all over your body!!!!!
Nice
It's a pitty that he did not mention what form of collagen he took 🤔
Monster + alcohol is like a speedball I assume.
I would debate burning calories for the chess masters. I believe it is possible because your brain doesn't know the differences between reality. When using the mind in activities, I believe we do/can burn calories at different rates due to our thinking.
When I drink monster my body feels like I poisoned it. Celcius nice and clean.
What is his age? Mark
60 plud
I do hot Baths and cold shower to follow. I healed my achilles to 90% in 3 weeks. It had tore from the bone, 25% hanging on. Comfrey cream for inflamation. $25 on amazon
Check out the documentary on TH-cam called the Science of Grounding, phenomenal video...never get any form of inflammation again.
Just an honest observation I don't know why an interviewer has to have the camera pan back to them when they are not talking lol. It is very awkward/annoying/unnecessary. Unless they can't stand not to be seen while someone else is talking. 😮
Ooo nice .....
So much misinformation regarding animal protein. Why not get a different perspective on your show, have you looked into Dr Will Busievicz?? Would be interesting if you interviewed him for a different take.
I burn a pound of fat in a one hour working.
Stop interrupting your guest.
this episode is sponsored by monster :D
40:00
Please improve your language it will make you more impactful to wide audience
Bro either wear contacts or get glasses that do not reflect your screen.
Tom,
for this reality show you are pitching,
make sure the identical twins has similar microbiota (gut, skin, oral, genitalia) otherwise it’s not apples to apples.
Type A fulfillment... couldn't care less!
sorry but I just can't believe him on diet. He looks older than he should
It’s too much fun in the ☀️ my friend.
Lack of Melanin
Live an awesome life; take advice from a man than seems to never smile? Yeah sure
Then take advice from salesmen. They always smile.
He sounds like Chris Hansen
I want to know the name's of all these billionaires committing suicide. Adolf Merckle (Hm I wonder why) Dmitry Bosov. That's two. When you have basic shit taken care of you can focus on getting the help you need and more easily focus on what's at the root of your problem. You have less things you can use as an excuse
Tom seems really depressed. Poor guy.
how so?
So much time wasted! Foolish and clueless with no path. Just a leaf blowing in the wind. Some good times for sure but I thought I’d be young forever and now I see that I’m not and I should’ve planned better. What to do now?! 🤷🏼♂️🤔🤦🏻♂️
Our bodies are designed to thrive on fruit/carbs with fat as a secondary source if needed. I like sone of what he said, but his facts are in error
who is saying that?
Humanity has evolved and progressed on fat and meat. Agriculture (specifically wheat, corn, and sugar) are the cause of our physical downfall. The reason the western world is so fat and sick. And THAT, unfortunately, is a fact.
Fruits today though often have 10x the sugar that our ancestors grew up with.
Just walk your ass off, fast a lot, and do keto. You’ll lose a pound a day.
Tom, give me the list of the billionaires that have committed suicide and look at the thousands that killed themselves because of money...
That is different.
People might kill each other to get money. But after getting it, they might kill themselves because that wasn't the answer.
That is not only true for money, but also for many of the calling "success ".
BS
This guy doesn’t sound the smartest. I think he’s kinda making things up or exaggerating. Hmmm
Hes 67 and deadlifts 300 pounds, how much are you lifting?
These guys are gonna be chasing ghosts until the grave. I wouldn't look up to them for any wisdom.
Not really agree 👎🏼👎🏼
Fruit based diet 🍳🍎🍌🍒is the best suitable for human body...
There is no specific diet suitable for all of humanity
tell that to the well known fruitarian, Steve Jobs
Deficient in 15 key nutrients for human health. No wonder frutarians get emaciated, “melon belly,” teeth falling out, mental health issues.
Uhh don’t think he’s saying fruit isn’t good. He’s talking about having a body that is use to experiencing variety and able to use multiple sources as energy efficiently
B-Complex Shots (I take them every two weeks)
That's awesome! How has it been working out for you?
