My grandmother just passed in October at the age of 109.5. She had a very basic lifestyle. A “basic lifestyle” meaning there was never an excess of anything and what stood out to me growing up next door to her was an incredibly balanced life and an incredible acceptance of life on all levels. I call that Grace, which I strive for in my own life but realize now it was definitely her greatest strength. They owned a neighborhood hardware store when I was growing up where she and my grandfather worked 6 days a week and felt as though their purpose was to help all the neighbors with what ever it was they were trying to do. Their staff had the same purpose and it was so fun to hang out at the store and help people find the paint section or my favorite, the key making machine. Lol! The biggest thing was with all they had to take care of and do they NEVER ate out. My grandmother served my grandfather and many times all of us too, wonderful meals made with lard and butter. Thank goodness she didn’t serve us Crisco which was so popular in the 80”s. Anyhooo, we miss her tons and she lived a wonderful life with full faculties to the end, dying of natural causes, which you never hear anyone report these days.❤ Lifestyle is medicine without taking medicine!❤. I’m 62 and lost 150lbs on Keto, Carnivore, IF, & OMAD. I recently introduced Sweet Potatoes into my diet, and I do not gain weight from it, nor does it spike my sugars.
If you are metabolically healthy, and give your body sufficient rest between meals, you shouldn't gain weight from sweet potatoes. Once I get down to my current goal weight, I will play around with some things like that.
Yes.....probably because you have made a conscious effort also to lower your foods with omega 6 oils this HELPS you become more insulin sensitive again and waaa laaaa.....you now can eat a natural food like sweet potatoes again
@Tony T because people like these guys have a public platform, and they have a lot of people eager to find fault, criticize them, look for contradictions, etc. They're under a lot of pressure to stay consistent with what they say. I think it takes quite a bit of bravery and humility to publicly admit it when you were wrong about something.

I worked in a pretty average restaurant in Brazil, and this interview shocked me. We always used the ingredients listed, and by law anyone that wants to see the kitchen, can. So when any customers had suspicions, we would just show on the spot. The oil was changed every day(or two on the low movement days).
In January 2022, I was 60 and I started doing keto, IF and OMAD. I did/do eat a “big ass” multi-veg salad everyday with a home-made olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Himalayan sea salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, onion, cumin dressing. I eat 16 oz of protein primarily from sardines, herring, grass fed beef, pork and organic eggs. I also walked/walk 8 miles every other day. RESULTS by 10/31/2022, lost 50 lbs, got off 7 long-term medications and had the best blood tests readings ever.
I have tried to find a salad dressing without soy bean oil and absolutely none of the dressings at my local supermarket are without this ingredient. Making a dressing every evening in addition to cooking a meal is not what everyone will do. I suggest taking an empty dressing bottle and filling it with a healthy dressing, like: Olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, pressed garlic, mustard and also adding some herbs like, Himalayan salt, black pepper, & basil.
Took the words right out of my mouth. It's so easy to make your own dressing..... and then you can use it for weeks. Only thing you have to remember is to 2:1 or 3:1 oil to vinegar. From there you can literally use any seasoning you want.
Alternatively you don't actually have to make a dressing in a bottle or cup....you can just toss the olive oil and vinegar and salt and pepper right on the salad or vegetable.
Not a critique, per se, just a thought. Being able to choose one’s “ideal diet” always has been and always will be a luxurious problem to have. Im grateful!!!
There is a truth to this and yet if we were aligned with Nature and respected Nature the way our ancestors did, and the way Native people do, the quality of all our food would be what the creator intended and full of nutrients and life force.
True, some people have no choice but to eat junk food. I don't live un the US, when I go as a tourist I have noticed that junk food es even cheaper than in my country, but quality food (the good stuff) is a lot more expensive, you have to be privileged to eat well in the USA.
My 83 yr. old mother always eats the same routine every day and is in perfect health. This includes eggs and yogurt for breakfast (cereal once per week)....a big salad with bell peppers and protein for lunch.....meats and hot veggies at supper....and dessert only on Sunday. Shes happy and healthy.
She has unlocked the key to health! Keto + veggies w/limited processed grains/starches/cereals. Keto's main weakness is microbiome biodiversity and I think a broad array of plant fiber has to be the centerpiece of any diet. Then we can start adding in eggs, grassfed meats, wild caught fish which keto excels at. And of course 90% processed food free, ideally 100%. For the plant fiber part I employ dr.fuhrmans g-bombs acronym and then rotate meats in here and there.
Life. And health not all about food alone. Our mind drives our health 95% . Remaining 5% is our karma !!! These days people have done so much research on food and types of food alone. Obsessed. We need to take into account life style, how balanced is their physical work and mental work, attitude towards life around.. how much they are in nature … everything contributes to well being. I met a painter who only paints homes for a living, he said he never went to a doctor in the past 72 years of his life. Always inhaling the toxic fumes from new paints and homes. He ate onky cheap donuts/buns and coffee for breakfast, normal burgers for lunch bought from outside where ever and some meat/ veggies for dinner… no exotic , organic high quality food/ supplements the we are researching on. Also met an old woman who consumed onky normal milk in the morning and one simple lunch of lentils and buttermilk with rice and some veggies once a day for her lunch and no dinner . This is what she ate all her life. No change in her type of lentil whatsoever. Same thing almost for food everyday. One 106 year old grandpa on the streets I met ate only plain bun and tea for breakfast, some junk road side sandwiche for lunch and dinner is occasional. He walks so fast at rocket speed to wherever he goes. At 106th year of his life. I feel we lost our ability to see life from a higher perspective. Lost even common sense. Instead pigeon hole every thing into just food food and food.. Where do these healthy old people get all their different types of vitamins and trace minerals ????????????????

I had heard on this channel that seed oils are bad. As a result, I read the labels on the dressings to select something without seed oil a few days ago. While watching this, I'm unknowingly sitting here eating a salad with Primal Ktichen Green Goddess dressing. Kind of a trip that is Mark's company. Tasty too!
This was a very good and interesting conversation. One thing I want to add that dictates how I eat these days at 70. My cravings for a certain type of food doesn't matter so much anymore. It's actually what my stomach will allow me to eat these days, Lol. I love spicy foods, pizza, TexMex and a lot of times they sound great, but No! Can't. I used to could eat anyting, but it's amazing what food can do to your body when you're older!
Might just be the lifelong accumulation of oxalates. See Sally Norton. I'm 69 and working on gradually clearing oxalates, and miraculously, now i can suddenly eat bananas again without farting up a cyclone of greenhouse gases. And alliums. And mushrooms ... Though due to the ongoing process this fluctuates a bit.
Try Kosher adjustment to your favorite home made recepies. It does miracles. You will have so much energy, you will feel 15 yrs younger, & no upset stomachs at all whatsoever. You will feel like you've been taking all your vitamins even when you forget to, or haven't in a while. The keto paleo seems nice too 👍
@@Loohan7 , Aloe vera juice 🥤🧃 with your favorite fruit 🍓🍑 juice, with some daily senakot, or sennosides vitamins, should fix all your stomach issues, I alternate them with either orange 🍊 juice, cranberry juice, or prune juice.
What a sign of the times we are living in when we pay very high prices to eat in even a bad restaurant! They are so greedy they can’t even provide customers with quality healthy products. People are getting educated thanks to you and we’re not going out as much to eat. When I do eat out I have to bring my own containers of basics like sweeteners and olive oil.
I mean. I agree with a lot of this but I don’t worry about it too much. Just cook healthy at home and have fun when you go out. We work all week, id go crazy to not be able to go out and not worry about it. Nonetheless I’m glad to see these conversations happening. I wish more places would fry in beef tallow.
Yeah same here but I suppose it matters with lifestyle, some people eat at restaurants way too frequently and then it would matter a lot more but if it's once or maybe twice a week then cooking healthy at home would likely offset the negatives.
Agreed. All meals homemade with high quality ingredients, exercise regulalry, drink quality, uncontaminated water, get good sleep regularly, and going out to eat fir one meal, once or even twice a week will have little to no effect on your overall health. The problem is some people have an all or nothing mentality, so they turn one meal out as a "might as well eat like crap for the rest of the day!"

Remember folks Linoleic/Linolenic Acid is VARNISH. Almost all restaurants worldwide are cooking everyones food in VARNISH. soybean/safflower/sunflower/corn/seasame/canola/flaxseed/cottonseed/linseed are 45%-90% linoleic/linolenic acid.
I used to have a garden. Ate kale right out of my garden. Dandelion greens. Tomatoes. Never really made a salad just munched on my garden all year. Kale grew all winter as did my oregano and anise seed. Once I moved to an apt I just wouldn't eat veggies from the store even if they were organic. I feel there is not enough nutrition derived from store bought. Have bought from local farmers markets but even then I hesitate.
We were at outback the other day and I was just gonna have a steak but of course when they bring the bread and butter thoughts passed through the head. But I asked what was in the whipped butter. Because I thought hey, I can eat butter, And maybe I can treat myself to a little bit of bread. The server did not know, so she got a manager who told me that it was whipped butter, milk and canola oil or some such combination. It was a lot easier to pass on the bread after that. Bread is supposed to be a conveyor of butter. And they weren’t serving butter.
Yes you can ask for salad dressing on the side so they never put it on your salad. Eating a small amount of anything is fine even if its not olive oil - but not drenched in other not-so-healthy oils. Best thing is to cook your own food... I love cooking so for me it's not an issue :D Cooking your own food often leads to less calories, healthier food and you save a lot of moolah too.
It becomes a problem when seed oils are cooked at hot temperatures and then it turns into trans fats. even olive oil turns into trans fats when cooked with high heat..
I’ve noticed that if I make my dinner a massive salad at least three times a week I see a clear increase in the amount of Pull ups and push-ups I can do. And it’s weird, but I have repeated this experiment multiple times. I can’t really explain it.
We need natural vegetables and fruits from time to time. After all human ate this from the very beginning. Completely removing one thing from the diet is very artificial. But what works best for one onky that person will know.

Interestingly, to both of your points about microbiome and where it came from, the Zoe podcast spoke to the scientists that studied the mummified remains that were famously found up on the Italian alps (amongst other ancient remains as well), and I think both Mark and Thomas will find the discovery pretty fascinating, including a) the fact that they found evidence of a toxic fern in his system (why? Medicinal?), and also b) his microbiome was profoundly far more diverse than our own. Theories include that, just like with the current state of the plant and animal kingdom, has there been a series of "extinctions" taking place in the microbial world as well? What I buy for oils is organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, mostly organic butter and organic expeller cold pressed high oleic sunflower oil. Olive oil is around 60+ % oleic oil, but high oleic sunflower oil is around 80 to 83 % oleic oil. Why is this important. Because there is almost no omega 6 oils. Omega 6 oils are from what I understand the inflammatory problem. So eliminate the problem.
It's very difficult to eat in a restaurant now, for the reasons you're discussing. I don't even _believe_ them on olive oil. They brought me oil once, and it was clearly not olive oil. From there on, I decided never to chance it, and I ate that salad with just vinegar. As for salad, in specific, I personally consider them too much a of a pain in the ass to eat at home anyway. I mostly eat frozen vegetables along with sous vide meats. I may take my own dressing to restaurants in the future, though. That's when/if I dare to go to them in the first place. As for "plants," there are several I will eat without concern, such as avocados, crucifers, asparagus and squash-spices, tomatoes and bell peppers, too. I guess people who have issues with nightshades have a good reason not to do those.
I completely agree, I’ve had this philosophy for a very long time. Food is the most important consideration we can have. What we eat, when and how we eat and prepare what goes into our mouths ready does matter.
Very interesting to flip the ratios of veggies to meat in the human diet. If you think about how kids naturally eat the food on their plates - meats and fruits ( and of course starches if available) first, and then they need to be forced to eat their veggies. 🤨 We then train ourselves out of this habit as we get older and force ourselves to eat tons of veggies. Food for thought. 😉

However, I do buy it (worth paying more for it!) and continue to check ingredient list to make sure it stays consistent. It's hard to eat out anywhere if you know about nutrition and health. I NEVER get a "better" meal at a restaurant than I can make at home!! Americans, without discretion, do eat out a lot and hence are mostly fat and unhealthy.
I’d read on multiple occasions that the problem with seed oils was in the Industrial process by which they are extracted, causing extremely unstable molecules that wreak havoc in the body. A rancid seed oil is not ideal, of course, but I think even a fresh seed oil is very bad.
yeah the only one that can be ok is sunflower bc sunflower is the only seed that is consumed naturally neirther soybean canola etc can be eaten raw. raw sunflower is actually really good esp imature seed the problem with extremely higgh omega 6 content
We're actually designed as metabolically flexible, to be able to thrive in many locations & situations. We're not designed as carnivores but that's a possibility just like Vegan, but quality matters, and genetics and health condition & activity level etc. The dose is the poison.

Plants have too many oxalates. My bloodwork in January showed high oxalate and I don’t even eat anything on the oxalate list. However, I was eating some sugar-free dark chocolate in December and I’m sure that was the cause because they are very high in oxalates. Even when you think you’re doing it right you’re doing it wrong. My triglycerides were 90 down from 172. My HDL was 62.5 my VLDL was 18. My liver numbers. Great my kidney numbers great my A1c was 5.7 overall my doctor was pretty happy. My total cholesterol was 250 and my LDL was 170 but he said the other numbers offset that and as long as I didn’t have any symptoms with the higher axle, it’s not to worry about it. I think everybody should get their blood work just to see where they are.
O+V is what I do at restaurants. At home, I make my own dressing: 3 parts EVOO 1 part HCV 1-2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp garlic salt 10 cranks of black pepper
This guy never worked in the restaurant business. Fryers are turned off every night, and changing the oil is super easy. But, that doesn't change the fact that restaurants use canola, and peanut oil mostly.
Totally on with Mr. Sisson....count protien and eggs are the best. I am 60 and that is all I pay attention to. If fasting....I substitute protien powder. As for gut bio....KEFIR!
I blend my greens. All organic. Nothing better for you imho. My diet consists of mainly greens, eggs, meat and nuts. If everyone choose this way. Illnesses and obesity would be hard to find. Pharmaceutical companies would lose much of their revenue. It really isn’t that hard.

I use a high oleic sunflower oil breed that is non GMO (Kevala). It's almost entirely oleic acid with a better lipid profile than olive oil. What's more important, is it a seed oil or the lipid profile?
How many servings of vegetables should be eaten on Keto. I love keto because it takes away my sugar cravings but I feel constipated often. That's why I asked about the number of vegetables. Please give me some suggestions on relieving constipation.
You could be dehydrated. Also, half an apple (or a whole one) a day helps. Prune juice (no sugar added) but try it on the weekend in case it works too well.
I had to ditch salad too. I love Mark and he is a huge reason. I lost so much weight on keto. I watched his videos but his book but I really didn’t heal my lower G.I. My issues continues until I cut out all vegetables and spices. My arthritis is better. I found out that she’s inflamed me and it’s probably, the phytic acids.
You didn't heal anything unless you had a legit allergy. You simply most likely didn't have the microbiome to process that food. Imagine eating so that you're 100lbs overweight and going to the gym thinking you're going to squat 2x bodyweight. Hell no, you are going to get buried. This is the same as people who frequently take antibiotics, eat like chit nuking their microbiome and think that they can process a broad array of veggie fiber every day. Hell to the no. You will have to work with a microbiome specialist along with minimizing processed foods. E.g. It took me 2 months of eating a tablespoon of beans every day to then build up to a cup. Now I can eat it without any issues. But I had to build up to it. If I gave up and claimed, "welp it just bloats me I'm never eating it again", then I'd be missing out on arguably one of the healthiest carbs on the planet. Microbiome science is now healing even food allergies since the S.A.D. standard American diet has killed our bacterial microdiversity. Tons of videos on TH-cam. Cutting out veggies is one of the worst things we can do on keto since keto fosters a crappy microbiome. The two can coexist and I believe that is the healthiest way moving forward since keto is all about keeping carbs under control and veggies have the highest nutrition to carb ratios on the planet and microbiome controls everything (immunity, energy, allergies etc)
A very arrogant comment to Cyndi that make huge assumptions! You assume she's too ignorant or unintelligent to have actually understood her diet. You assume that just because something works for you, it has to work for everybody else. If it doesn't , they've failed because they don't have the guts to persevere and build up their guts. You totally dismiss her lived experience and her knowledge of her body - something you know sweet-blow-all about. Cyndi isn't unique in her experience.
@Suz Cost I'm not saying elimination diets don't work but reintroduction AFTER the elimination diet should be happening. Including peanut allergies, shellfish, etc. They can all be cured with the right microbiome. Look up the human studies where we can turn a slim guy into an obese and vice versa using fecal transplants. We have to build the proper microbiome to be able to process an array of plant fibers, and our bacteria will adapt to what we feed it. Feed the wrong ones long enough and yes we will develop allergies and be forced to do elimination like cyndi. Where cyndi is wrong is that she thinks this is her permanent condition when the data does not back such a position. Microbiome specialists are reversing perceived allergies. For cyndi to deprive herself of veggies is going to crush her mortality since keto without veggies means she is crushing her microbiome diversity. Think of it as a rainforest. If there aren't enough trees, there won't be enough atmospheric oxygenation. And every time we take antibiotics we are burning down the rain forest and it will take literal years to grow back unless you are working with a microbiome specialist. Cyndi had a microbiome issue and is blaming "salad" or "phytic acid" when she simply had the wrong gut bacteria. And yes, you do have to have guts to change your lifestyle and keep feeding yourself something you perceive as harmful bc society tells us that once we have allergy it's always a permanent condition, and not knowing our microbiome composition is changing every single meal in response to what we feed it. It's typically trial and error, keep reducing the amount until you don't have an adverse reaction anymore e.g. beans and bloating in my case. For serious allergies that cause hives you should work with a specialist bc they can and currently are reversing allergies with the proper bacteria.
Congratulations on your progress. Phytic acid, yes, and oxalates, too. That seems to be our story, also. And my daughter can’t do fiber. But healing is happening for us, and hopefully limited seasonal vegetables will once again be possible. Best wishes!
Very solid advice, but I will mention, at least where I am in Canada. Out of the 6 Restaurants I have worked at the oil IS changed in fryers at minimum twice a week and cleaned daily. All but 1 made all our dressings with extra virgin olive oil.
Depends on the vegetable. I consume large amounts of romaine and red bell peppers. There doesn't seem to be any negative limit. But there are other vegetables which do seem to tell me, only small amounts.
Never have salad either. Only one max two vegetables on every meal. On the other side, restaurant food is not made to nourish you, its made to sell, so even if it says "healthy" on the package, its just downright toxic junk 99% of the time.
I've seen oil recycled at a fried chicken restaurant (1970's). The oil was poured over what looked like a sand filter. I actually think it made the chicken taste better.
I worked in restaurants many years they don't always put olive oil in that bottle they use cheap oil there too sorry people don't get me started on cleanliness in kitchens

If you pay for a sam's club or Costco It is pretty much the same with a lot of friendlier options than most stores for all diet types. And you can shop by diet type. Ships right to your door some of Thomas Delauer other videos show a little more detail on his thrive market promotions. I have heard a lot of great things about thrive but I prefer to shop in person myself.

I don't eat at restaurants but at home I eat salad every day and I just mix extra virgin olive oil with a splash of apple cider vinegar for my dressing. It's great.
Great knowledge being shared here the effects on the storage of seed oils in cells is an absolute killer. I have been living with stage 4 NHL for the past 2 years with no progression of disease. I think a huge part of that is my elimination of seed oils and gluten. Ive also lost 50lbs as a side result. Its also interesting that CBD THC oils which have been shown to be potent cancer fightrers block the conversion of FAAH to arachadonic acids.

He's Puerto Rican amd eats the same foods o the daily because it's the flavors he enjoys and very popular in old school Puerto Rico. These include yucca root, eggplant, white onion, avocado, tomatoes (sometimes), white fish and occasionally red meat. Oh yeah, he drenches his foods with olive oil. Lots and lots of it!!! He drinks a gallon of water mixed with passion fruit (aka parcha) juice daily, actually, the amount of water has been reduced in the last 4-5 years. He also eats bread but we limit him now and enjoys his daily serving of flan. My dad was an active world traveler up until the lockdown. His cognitive health began to decline and every time he gets that horrific 💉 he ends up in the e.r. I had to fly my dad back from Puerto Rico amd had just been in nicaragua and, Costa rica. He had me fly him into Florida with family because he wanted to go back to traveling after the lock down.👌🏻🤣 didnt happen. Now, my dad had meningitis, wears an oxygen tank, has diabetes, high blood pressure, amd a slew of other issues linked to the poison. He cam hardly walk and used to LOVE gardening, which he still fights to get out there daily. He still cooks for Himself and is a bit over weight; he was overweight before the plandemic.😁👌🏻🏋️♀️ my dad went to get a small physical done monthly (no matter what part of the world he was in) and was picture perfect healthy. Sadly, he insists on getting jabbed because he says he doesn't want chronic long covid like I've struggled with since 2020. Sigh.....the doctors at Kaider have chosen to ban me when I pointed out the he was in e.r. within. 3 weeks of each shot. Go figure! His stats would prove that not everyone is a good candidate for mandated shots. Fear. My dad's diet had initially changed due to high BP and heart issues but he's backnto eating his norm just less bread. If he eats nothing else, he'll open a can of sardines (not the clean kind) or cooks white fish with olive oil. Yes, he still cooks because my sister doesn't and I no longer have room for him in my house. I hope this helps give you a little insight to an older person's eating HABITS who had a healthy and active lifestyle prior to lockdown and fear.

I think if you have to use spices to lower blood sugar or any food from the plants to lower a marker you’re probably doing something wrong. It shouldn’t be there in the first place. My blood pressure was 120/76 when I did my labs last month and I was in my 10th month of carnivore. However, I’ve always had really good blood pressure anyway. I think getting one’s weight down to a normal level is huge and should be considered second to just getting healthy by cleaning up the diet. 99.9% of all produce in the grocery store is man-made it is not ancient it is not in nature. It’s all man made. They have hybridized it to be sweeter, bigger more colorful, but that doesn’t mean there’s more nutrients, even though they keep telling us that.
oil has a lot of calories, other than that, it's the heating or not heating of it that determines whether its inflammatory or not. same w nuts, eat raw, or don't eat if you care about inflammation. for those of you that think butter isn't inflammatory, it is. Full. Stop.
I have been trying keto/carnivore red meat, lamb chops, bacon, eggs & a little salmon for 1 month now to try to stop seizures caused by a head injury in 2005. I just did my 1st urine test that showed I am in low ketosis by the urine strips but I am loosing so much hair which is very stressful. Has anyone else lost a lot of hair this was a terrible side affect from the drugs I stopped in 2012. I am taking 1 -2 tablespoons of coconut oil but may try taking 4 table spoons to see if that helps.
If you can, get yourself to an endocrinologist. They are experts on thyroid problems. Your primary care/general practitioner may not order the best blood tests for this. It's worth the effort/cost and treatment is usually not hard.

Hahaha, I thought I was the only one, I bring my own salt, pepper & ketchup to a restaurant. Food is very powerful in more ways than one, it is more than substance, it is also very social. I have lost friends and family because of how I choose to eat, not how I think they should eat but, how I want to eat. If I go to a restaurant & ask for "real" butter the server comes back and says, " I'm sorry sir but we don't carry that brand here " .
We bring plan ahead of time what we’ll order, then bring what we think we’ll need-usually salt, condiments, dressing, lemon juice, and butter. We do try to be discreet, but having spent years in food service, I became wary.
I fully agree that your recent ancestry should help determine your optimal diet. Mark Sisson has written an excellent article, "The Definitive Guide to Using Your Recent Ancestry to Determine Your Optimal Diet," which you can find on a Google search. Recent ancestry means over the last few thousands of years, not necessarily millions of years. My recent ancestors were all from China, and I am 100% genetically Chinese. Therefore, I should be eating meat, white rice, some vegetables, some fruit, and green tea everyday. I am currently experimenting with bok choy (a Chinese vegetable). My genes have evolved to deal with whatever plant toxins are in those specific vegetables that my recent ancestors ate. In addition, my genes must have evolved to be dependent on certain chemical compounds in those vegetables (and white rice). Those dependent compounds are, what I call, "ethnic vitamins" that have yet to be identified by modern day science. What complicates things is that I was born in the United States and have lived here my entire life. So I am tempted by so many foods, from all over the world, at the supermarket. But I should be eating only a small subset of those foods... foods that my Chinese genes have evolved to process. Maybe this wide variety of foods available in the U.S. is what is making us sick. Maybe this variety is the "standard American diet". If we eat only the foods that our recent ancestors ate (which is specific to each individual), I bet that metabolic disease would disappear overnight.
I dont agree with the lack of fryer not being changed statment. I worked the wrost places and we had to change that thing daily. But in a non commerical privite owned places. Now I dont know about those. But in a place like say Burger King, you meet a cleaning standard or the place is shut down til done. One thing you can trust of that worst of the worst places lol.

I used to go to Rubios YEARS ago, then decided to go recently. Only had a single taco. Didn't even eat the Tortilla. I felt so sick for hours and it was from the oil they use
Don't forget that wild fruit, thousands of years back, was not that sweet...and seasonal. Nowadays fruit has been bred to be much sweeter....and not too be consumed every day.
My grandmother just passed in October at the age of 109.5. She had a very basic lifestyle. A “basic lifestyle” meaning there was never an excess of anything and what stood out to me growing up next door to her was an incredibly balanced life and an incredible acceptance of life on all levels. I call that Grace, which I strive for in my own life but realize now it was definitely her greatest strength. They owned a neighborhood hardware store when I was growing up where she and my grandfather worked 6 days a week and felt as though their purpose was to help all the neighbors with what ever it was they were trying to do. Their staff had the same purpose and it was so fun to hang out at the store and help people find the paint section or my favorite, the key making machine. Lol! The biggest thing was with all they had to take care of and do they NEVER ate out. My grandmother served my grandfather and many times all of us too, wonderful meals made with lard and butter. Thank goodness she didn’t serve us Crisco which was so popular in the 80”s. Anyhooo, we miss her tons and she lived a wonderful life with full faculties to the end, dying of natural causes, which you never hear anyone report these days.❤ Lifestyle is medicine without taking medicine!❤. If you are metabolically healthy, and give your body sufficient rest between meals, you shouldn't gain weight from sweet potatoes. Once I get down to my current goal weight, I will play around with some things like that.

Takes two years to clean up seed oils from the body. That's what sucks! I usually go for sashimi and some sushi rolls that have nothing fried in it.
I worked in a pretty average restaurant in Brazil, and this interview shocked me. We always used the ingredients listed, and by law anyone that wants to see the kitchen, can. So when any customers had suspicions, we would just show on the spot.
The oil was changed every day(or two on the low movement days).

In January 2022, I was 60 and I started doing keto, IF and OMAD. I did/do eat a “big ass” multi-veg salad everyday with a home-made olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Himalayan sea salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, onion, cumin dressing. I eat 16 oz of protein primarily from sardines, herring, grass fed beef, pork and organic eggs. I also walked/walk 8 miles every other day. RESULTS by 10/31/2022, lost 50 lbs, got off 7 long-term medications and had the best blood tests readings ever.

I have tried to find a salad dressing without soy bean oil and absolutely none of the dressings at my local supermarket are without this ingredient. Making a dressing every evening in addition to cooking a meal is not what everyone will do. I suggest taking an empty dressing bottle and filling it with a healthy dressing, like: Olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, pressed garlic, mustard and also adding some herbs like, Himalayan salt, black pepper, & basil.
Primal Kitchens is the only brand that avoids all "bad" ingredients. But homemade is excellent, too.

Took the words right out of my mouth. It's so easy to make your own dressing..... and then you can use it for weeks. Only thing you have to remember is to 2:1 or 3:1 oil to vinegar.
From there you can literally use any seasoning you want.
Alternatively you don't actually have to make a dressing in a bottle or cup....you can just toss the olive oil and vinegar and salt and pepper right on the salad or vegetable.
Love Mark. He was my intro to eating better. Love how he adjusts as he learns more or as data changes.

True, some people have no choice but to eat junk food. I don't live un the US, when I go as a tourist I have noticed that junk food es even cheaper than in my country, but quality food (the good stuff) is a lot more expensive, you have to be privileged to eat well in the USA.
My 83 yr. old mother always eats the same routine every day and is in perfect health. This includes eggs and yogurt for breakfast (cereal once per week)....a big salad with bell peppers and protein for lunch.....meats and hot veggies at supper....and dessert only on Sunday. Shes happy and healthy.
She has unlocked the key to health! Keto + veggies w/limited processed grains/starches/cereals. Keto's main weakness is microbiome biodiversity and I think a broad array of plant fiber has to be the centerpiece of any diet. Then we can start adding in eggs, grassfed meats, wild caught fish which keto excels at. And of course 90% processed food free, ideally 100%. For the plant fiber part I employ dr.fuhrmans g-bombs acronym and then rotate meats in here and there.
Life. And health not all about food alone. Our mind drives our health 95% . Remaining 5% is our karma !!! These days people have done so much research on food and types of food alone. Obsessed. We need to take into account life style, how balanced is their physical work and mental work, attitude towards life around.. how much they are in nature … everything contributes to well being.
I met a painter who only paints homes for a living, he said he never went to a doctor in the past 72 years of his life. Always inhaling the toxic fumes from new paints and homes. He ate onky cheap donuts/buns and coffee for breakfast, normal burgers for lunch bought from outside where ever and some meat/ veggies for dinner… no exotic , organic high quality food/ supplements the we are researching on.
Also met an old woman who consumed onky normal milk in the morning and one simple lunch of lentils and buttermilk with rice and some veggies once a day for her lunch and no dinner . This is what she ate all her life. No change in her type of lentil whatsoever. Same thing almost for food everyday.
One 106 year old grandpa on the streets I met ate only plain bun and tea for breakfast, some junk road side sandwiche for lunch and dinner is occasional. He walks so fast at rocket speed to wherever he goes. At 106th year of his life.
I feel we lost our ability to see life from a higher perspective. Lost even common sense. Instead pigeon hole every thing into just food food and food..
Where do these healthy old people get all their different types of vitamins and trace minerals ????????????????

I had heard on this channel that seed oils are bad. As a result, I read the labels on the dressings to select something without seed oil a few days ago. While watching this, I'm unknowingly sitting here eating a salad with Primal Ktichen Green Goddess dressing. Kind of a trip that is Mark's company. Tasty too!

This was a very good and interesting conversation. One thing I want to add that dictates how I eat these days at 70. My cravings for a certain type of food doesn't matter so much anymore. It's actually what my stomach will allow me to eat these days, Lol. I love spicy foods, pizza, TexMex and a lot of times they sound great, but No! Can't. I used to could eat anyting, but it's amazing what food can do to your body when you're older!
Might just be the lifelong accumulation of oxalates. See Sally Norton. I'm 69 and working on gradually clearing oxalates, and miraculously, now i can suddenly eat bananas again without farting up a cyclone of greenhouse gases. And alliums. And mushrooms ... Though due to the ongoing process this fluctuates a bit.
Try Kosher adjustment to your favorite home made recepies. It does miracles. You will have so much energy, you will feel 15 yrs younger, & no upset stomachs at all whatsoever. You will feel like you've been taking all your vitamins even when you forget to, or haven't in a while. The keto paleo seems nice too 👍

What a sign of the times we are living in when we pay very high prices to eat in even a bad restaurant! They are so greedy they can’t even provide customers with quality healthy products. People are getting educated thanks to you and we’re not going out as much to eat. When I do eat out I have to bring my own containers of basics like sweeteners and olive oil.

Yeah same here but I suppose it matters with lifestyle, some people eat at restaurants way too frequently and then it would matter a lot more but if it's once or maybe twice a week then cooking healthy at home would likely offset the negatives.

Agreed. All meals homemade with high quality ingredients, exercise regulalry, drink quality, uncontaminated water, get good sleep regularly, and going out to eat fir one meal, once or even twice a week will have little to no effect on your overall health.
The problem is some people have an all or nothing mentality, so they turn one meal out as a "might as well eat like crap for the rest of the day!"

Remember folks Linoleic/Linolenic Acid is VARNISH. Almost all restaurants worldwide are cooking everyones food in VARNISH. soybean/safflower/sunflower/corn/seasame/canola/flaxseed/cottonseed/linseed are 45%-90% linoleic/linolenic acid.
I used to have a garden. Ate kale right out of my garden. Dandelion greens. Tomatoes. Never really made a salad just munched on my garden all year. Kale grew all winter as did my oregano and anise seed.
Once I moved to an apt I just wouldn't eat veggies from the store even if they were organic. I feel there is not enough nutrition derived from store bought. Have bought from local farmers markets but even then I hesitate.
We were at outback the other day and I was just gonna have a steak but of course when they bring the bread and butter thoughts passed through the head. But I asked what was in the whipped butter. Because I thought hey, I can eat butter, And maybe I can treat myself to a little bit of bread. The server did not know, so she got a manager who told me that it was whipped butter, milk and canola oil or some such combination. It was a lot easier to pass on the bread after that. Bread is supposed to be a conveyor of butter. And they weren’t serving butter.
Yes you can ask for salad dressing on the side so they never put it on your salad. Eating a small amount of anything is fine even if its not olive oil - but not drenched in other not-so-healthy oils. Best thing is to cook your own food... I love cooking so for me it's not an issue :D Cooking your own food often leads to less calories, healthier food and you save a lot of moolah too.
It becomes a problem when seed oils are cooked at hot temperatures and then it turns into trans fats. even olive oil turns into trans fats when cooked with high heat..
I’ve noticed that if I make my dinner a massive salad at least three times a week I see a clear increase in the amount of Pull ups and push-ups I can do. And it’s weird, but I have repeated this experiment multiple times. I can’t really explain it.
Same. My body loves a big salad, along with a nice steak. I feel stronger and vital eating leafy greens with my protein.

Super fascinating discussion! Interestingly, to both of your points about microbiome and where it came from, the Zoe podcast spoke to the scientists that studied the mummified remains that were famously found up on the Italian alps (amongst other ancient remains as well), and I think both Mark and Thomas will find the discovery pretty fascinating, including a) the fact that they found evidence of a toxic fern in his system (why? Medicinal?), and also b) his microbiome was profoundly far more diverse than our own. Theories include that, just like with the current state of the plant and animal kingdom, has there been a series of "extinctions" taking place in the microbial world as well? Anyway, as always - gosh, I love this channel and the content! Thanks so much!

What I buy for oils is organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, mostly organic butter and organic expeller cold pressed high oleic sunflower oil. Olive oil is around 60+ % oleic oil, but high oleic sunflower oil is around 80 to 83 % oleic oil. Why is this important. Because there is almost no omega 6 oils. Omega 6 oils are from what I understand the inflammatory problem. So eliminate the problem.

It's very difficult to eat in a restaurant now, for the reasons you're discussing. I don't even _believe_ them on olive oil. They brought me oil once, and it was clearly not olive oil. From there on, I decided never to chance it, and I ate that salad with just vinegar.
As for salad, in specific, I personally consider them too much a of a pain in the ass to eat at home anyway. I mostly eat frozen vegetables along with sous vide meats. I may take my own dressing to restaurants in the future, though. That's when/if I dare to go to them in the first place.
As for "plants," there are several I will eat without concern, such as avocados, crucifers, asparagus and squash-spices, tomatoes and bell peppers, too. I guess people who have issues with nightshades have a good reason not to do those.
I completely agree, I’ve had this philosophy for a very long time. Food is the most important consideration we can have. What we eat, when and how we eat and prepare what goes into our mouths ready does matter.
Very interesting to flip the ratios of veggies to meat in the human diet. If you think about how kids naturally eat the food on their plates - meats and fruits ( and of course starches if available) first, and then they need to be forced to eat their veggies. 🤨 We then train ourselves out of this habit as we get older and force ourselves to eat tons of veggies. Food for thought. 😉

I’d read on multiple occasions that the problem with seed oils was in the Industrial process by which they are extracted, causing extremely unstable molecules that wreak havoc in the body. A rancid seed oil is not ideal, of course, but I think even a fresh seed oil is very bad.
yeah the only one that can be ok is sunflower bc sunflower is the only seed that is consumed naturally neirther soybean canola etc can be eaten raw. raw sunflower is actually really good esp imature seed the problem with extremely higgh omega 6 content
Only a problem if you are eating out like everyday. Otherwise the effects are negligible considering most people go to restaurants infrequently.
We're actually designed as metabolically flexible, to be able to thrive in many locations & situations. We're not designed as carnivores but that's a possibility just like Vegan, but quality matters, and genetics and health condition & activity level etc. The dose is the poison.

Plants have too many oxalates. My bloodwork in January showed high oxalate and I don’t even eat anything on the oxalate list. However, I was eating some sugar-free dark chocolate in December and I’m sure that was the cause because they are very high in oxalates. Even when you think you’re doing it right you’re doing it wrong. My triglycerides were 90 down from 172. My HDL was 62.5 my VLDL was 18. My liver numbers. Great my kidney numbers great my A1c was 5.7 overall my doctor was pretty happy. My total cholesterol was 250 and my LDL was 170 but he said the other numbers offset that and as long as I didn’t have any symptoms with the higher axle, it’s not to worry about it. I think everybody should get their blood work just to see where they are.
O+V is what I do at restaurants. At home, I make my own dressing:
3 parts EVOO
1 part HCV
1-2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp garlic salt
10 cranks of black pepper
I think increasing protein as we age is not a good formula for anti-aging. Small adequate portions of protein work well for the Okinawan’s.
Agreed. Our ability to metabolize protein is diminished so I doubt if more protein will help more than hurt.

This guy never worked in the restaurant business. Fryers are turned off every night, and changing the oil is super easy. But, that doesn't change the fact that restaurants use canola, and peanut oil mostly.

I blend my greens. All organic. Nothing better for you imho. My diet consists of mainly greens, eggs, meat and nuts. If everyone choose this way. Illnesses and obesity would be hard to find. Pharmaceutical companies would lose much of their revenue. It really isn’t that hard.

I use a high oleic sunflower oil breed that is non GMO (Kevala). It's almost entirely oleic acid with a better lipid profile than olive oil. What's more important, is it a seed oil or the lipid profile?
How many servings of vegetables should be eaten on Keto. I love keto because it takes away my sugar cravings but I feel constipated often. That's why I asked about the number of vegetables. Please give me some suggestions on relieving constipation.
Add in some broccoli
You could be dehydrated. Also, half an apple (or a whole one) a day helps. Prune juice (no sugar added) but try it on the weekend in case it works too well.
Remove fiber, that resolves constipation. Fiber just adds to the bulk, it doesn't make them easier to pass or more frequent

I had to ditch salad too. I love Mark and he is a huge reason. I lost so much weight on keto. I watched his videos but his book but I really didn’t heal my lower G.I. My issues continues until I cut out all vegetables and spices. My arthritis is better. I found out that she’s inflamed me and it’s probably, the phytic acids.
You didn't heal anything unless you had a legit allergy. You simply most likely didn't have the microbiome to process that food. Imagine eating so that you're 100lbs overweight and going to the gym thinking you're going to squat 2x bodyweight. Hell no, you are going to get buried. This is the same as people who frequently take antibiotics, eat like chit nuking their microbiome and think that they can process a broad array of veggie fiber every day. Hell to the no. You will have to work with a microbiome specialist along with minimizing processed foods. E.g. It took me 2 months of eating a tablespoon of beans every day to then build up to a cup. Now I can eat it without any issues. But I had to build up to it. If I gave up and claimed, "welp it just bloats me I'm never eating it again", then I'd be missing out on arguably one of the healthiest carbs on the planet. Microbiome science is now healing even food allergies since the S.A.D. standard American diet has killed our bacterial microdiversity. Tons of videos on TH-cam. Cutting out veggies is one of the worst things we can do on keto since keto fosters a crappy microbiome. The two can coexist and I believe that is the healthiest way moving forward since keto is all about keeping carbs under control and veggies have the highest nutrition to carb ratios on the planet and microbiome controls everything (immunity, energy, allergies etc)
A very arrogant comment to Cyndi that make huge assumptions! You assume she's too ignorant or unintelligent to have actually understood her diet. You assume that just because something works for you, it has to work for everybody else. If it doesn't , they've failed because they don't have the guts to persevere and build up their guts. You totally dismiss her lived experience and her knowledge of her body - something you know sweet-blow-all about. Cyndi isn't unique in her experience.
@Suz Cost I'm not saying elimination diets don't work but reintroduction AFTER the elimination diet should be happening. Including peanut allergies, shellfish, etc. They can all be cured with the right microbiome. Look up the human studies where we can turn a slim guy into an obese and vice versa using fecal transplants. We have to build the proper microbiome to be able to process an array of plant fibers, and our bacteria will adapt to what we feed it. Feed the wrong ones long enough and yes we will develop allergies and be forced to do elimination like cyndi. Where cyndi is wrong is that she thinks this is her permanent condition when the data does not back such a position. Microbiome specialists are reversing perceived allergies. For cyndi to deprive herself of veggies is going to crush her mortality since keto without veggies means she is crushing her microbiome diversity. Think of it as a rainforest. If there aren't enough trees, there won't be enough atmospheric oxygenation. And every time we take antibiotics we are burning down the rain forest and it will take literal years to grow back unless you are working with a microbiome specialist. Cyndi had a microbiome issue and is blaming "salad" or "phytic acid" when she simply had the wrong gut bacteria. And yes, you do have to have guts to change your lifestyle and keep feeding yourself something you perceive as harmful bc society tells us that once we have allergy it's always a permanent condition, and not knowing our microbiome composition is changing every single meal in response to what we feed it. It's typically trial and error, keep reducing the amount until you don't have an adverse reaction anymore e.g. beans and bloating in my case. For serious allergies that cause hives you should work with a specialist bc they can and currently are reversing allergies with the proper bacteria.
Congratulations on your progress. Phytic acid, yes, and oxalates, too. That seems to be our story, also. And my daughter can’t do fiber. But healing is happening for us, and hopefully limited seasonal vegetables will once again be possible. Best wishes!
Very solid advice, but I will mention, at least where I am in Canada. Out of the 6 Restaurants I have worked at the oil IS changed in fryers at minimum twice a week and cleaned daily. All but 1 made all our dressings with extra virgin olive oil.

Depends on the vegetable. I consume large amounts of romaine and red bell peppers. There doesn't seem to be any negative limit. But there are other vegetables which do seem to tell me, only small amounts.

Never have salad either. Only one max two vegetables on every meal. On the other side, restaurant food is not made to nourish you, its made to sell, so even if it says "healthy" on the package, its just downright toxic junk 99% of the time.
I've seen oil recycled at a fried chicken restaurant (1970's). The oil was poured over what looked like a sand filter. I actually think it made the chicken taste better.
Because of how ridiculously expensive his products are i learned to make my own salad dressings, spicy italian and greek and catsup.
I worked in restaurants many years they don't always put olive oil in that bottle they use cheap oil there too sorry people don't get me started on cleanliness in kitchens

If you pay for a sam's club or Costco It is pretty much the same with a lot of friendlier options than most stores for all diet types. And you can shop by diet type. Ships right to your door some of Thomas Delauer other videos show a little more detail on his thrive market promotions. I have heard a lot of great things about thrive but I prefer to shop in person myself.

I don't eat at restaurants but at home I eat salad every day and I just mix extra virgin olive oil with a splash of apple cider vinegar for my dressing. It's great.
Great knowledge being shared here the effects on the storage of seed oils in cells is an absolute killer. I have been living with stage 4 NHL for the past 2 years with no progression of disease. I think a huge part of that is my elimination of seed oils and gluten. Ive also lost 50lbs as a side result. Its also interesting that CBD THC oils which have been shown to be potent cancer fightrers block the conversion of FAAH to arachadonic acids.

❤Feb. 20, 2023, my dad David turns 99!!! He's Puerto Rican amd eats the same foods o the daily because it's the flavors he enjoys and very popular in old school Puerto Rico. These include yucca root, eggplant, white onion, avocado, tomatoes (sometimes), white fish and occasionally red meat. Oh yeah, he drenches his foods with olive oil. Lots and lots of it!!! He drinks a gallon of water mixed with passion fruit (aka parcha) juice daily, actually, the amount of water has been reduced in the last 4-5 years. He also eats bread but we limit him now and enjoys his daily serving of flan.
My dad was an active world traveler up until the lockdown. His cognitive health began to decline and every time he gets that horrific 💉 he ends up in the e.r. I had to fly my dad back from Puerto Rico amd had just been in nicaragua and, Costa rica. He had me fly him into Florida with family because he wanted to go back to traveling after the lock down.👌🏻🤣 didnt happen. Now, my dad had meningitis, wears an oxygen tank, has diabetes, high blood pressure, amd a slew of other issues linked to the poison. He cam hardly walk and used to LOVE gardening, which he still fights to get out there daily. He still cooks for Himself and is a bit over weight; he was overweight before the plandemic.😁👌🏻🏋️♀️ my dad went to get a small physical done monthly (no matter what part of the world he was in) and was picture perfect healthy. Sadly, he insists on getting jabbed because he says he doesn't want chronic long covid like I've struggled with since 2020. Sigh.....the doctors at Kaider have chosen to ban me when I pointed out the he was in e.r. within. 3 weeks of each shot. Go figure! His stats would prove that not everyone is a good candidate for mandated shots. Fear. My dad's diet had initially changed due to high BP and heart issues but he's backnto eating his norm just less bread. If he eats nothing else, he'll open a can of sardines (not the clean kind) or cooks white fish with olive oil. Yes, he still cooks because my sister doesn't and I no longer have room for him in my house. I hope this helps give you a little insight to an older person's eating HABITS who had a healthy and active lifestyle prior to lockdown and fear.
The oil is never emptied/changed it is filter often and oil added.
You have to filter it at least weekly or it will smoke to much.

I think if you have to use spices to lower blood sugar or any food from the plants to lower a marker you’re probably doing something wrong. It shouldn’t be there in the first place. My blood pressure was 120/76 when I did my labs last month and I was in my 10th month of carnivore. However, I’ve always had really good blood pressure anyway. I think getting one’s weight down to a normal level is huge and should be considered second to just getting healthy by cleaning up the diet. 99.9% of all produce in the grocery store is man-made it is not ancient it is not in nature. It’s all man made. They have hybridized it to be sweeter, bigger more colorful, but that doesn’t mean there’s more nutrients, even though they keep telling us that.

oil has a lot of calories, other than that, it's the heating or not heating of it that determines whether its inflammatory or not. same w nuts, eat raw, or don't eat if you care about inflammation. for those of you that think butter isn't inflammatory, it is. Full. Stop.

There is no way any restaurant uses extra virgin olive oil. I don't eat ANYTHING with oil in a restaurant. I get steamed veggies and chicken...

I have been trying keto/carnivore red meat, lamb chops, bacon, eggs & a little salmon for 1 month now to try to stop seizures caused by a head injury in 2005. I just did my 1st urine test that showed I am in low ketosis by the urine strips but I am loosing so much hair which is very stressful. Has anyone else lost a lot of hair this was a terrible side affect from the drugs I stopped in 2012. I am taking 1 -2 tablespoons of coconut oil but may try taking 4 table spoons to see if that helps.
If you can, get yourself to an endocrinologist. They are experts on thyroid problems. Your primary care/general practitioner may not order the best blood tests for this. It's worth the effort/cost and treatment is usually not hard.

Hahaha, I thought I was the only one, I bring my own salt, pepper & ketchup to a restaurant. Food is very powerful in more ways than one, it is more than substance, it is also very social. I have lost friends and family because of how I choose to eat, not how I think they should eat but, how I want to eat. If I go to a restaurant & ask for "real" butter the server comes back and says, " I'm sorry sir but we don't carry that brand here " .

We bring plan ahead of time what we’ll order, then bring what we think we’ll need-usually salt, condiments, dressing, lemon juice, and butter. We do try to be discreet, but having spent years in food service, I became wary.

I fully agree that your recent ancestry should help determine your optimal diet. Mark Sisson has written an excellent article, "The Definitive Guide to Using Your Recent Ancestry to Determine Your Optimal Diet," which you can find on a Google search. Recent ancestry means over the last few thousands of years, not necessarily millions of years. My recent ancestors were all from China, and I am 100% genetically Chinese. Therefore, I should be eating meat, white rice, some vegetables, some fruit, and green tea everyday. I am currently experimenting with bok choy (a Chinese vegetable). My genes have evolved to deal with whatever plant toxins are in those specific vegetables that my recent ancestors ate. In addition, my genes must have evolved to be dependent on certain chemical compounds in those vegetables (and white rice). Those dependent compounds are, what I call, "ethnic vitamins" that have yet to be identified by modern day science. What complicates things is that I was born in the United States and have lived here my entire life. So I am tempted by so many foods, from all over the world, at the supermarket. But I should be eating only a small subset of those foods... foods that my Chinese genes have evolved to process. Maybe this wide variety of foods available in the U.S. is what is making us sick. Maybe this variety is the "standard American diet". If we eat only the foods that our recent ancestors ate (which is specific to each individual), I bet that metabolic disease would disappear overnight.
Yep. We used to cook with EVO, but in order to cut costs, canola oil came to substitute EVO. Horrible.
I dont agree with the lack of fryer not being changed statment. I worked the wrost places and we had to change that thing daily. But in a non commerical privite owned places. Now I dont know about those. But in a place like say Burger King, you meet a cleaning standard or the place is shut down til done. One thing you can trust of that worst of the worst places lol.

I used to go to Rubios YEARS ago, then decided to go recently. Only had a single taco. Didn't even eat the Tortilla. I felt so sick for hours and it was from the oil they use

Don't forget that wild fruit, thousands of years back, was not that sweet...and seasonal. Nowadays fruit has been bred to be much sweeter....and not too be consumed every day.
