This is one of the best interviews of Hitchens that I've seen. I always enjoy when he talks about literature, and the interviewer is asking some great questions and offering great comments.
i love christopher hitchens! i love how he speaks out against religion, especially against the brutality towards woman and children. and i think he's a true gentlemen!
This interview occured very shortly after the then vague diagnosis. I'm very sad he's no longer alive, but I'm glad he's no longer living with illness, though I'm still sad I can't maintain my, albeit unrealistic, optimism for him going into remission.
People always overlook condemning the men that run the world's religions who skillfully implement severely skewed versions of their Faith's social laws and defiantly ignore their religions spiritual laws.
Lost a great man today/I guess yesterday. I apologize if this takes anyone by surprise. The world has lost a great intellect and I feel the loss as personal although I have no right to claim that.
Revelation 22:11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy." 12 "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
@QuestionForAtheists There is no need of explaining where no mystery exists. My question to you would be why do you confuse how the cosmos is with how you wish it to be? First: there are no sacred truths; all assumptions must be critically examined; arguments from authority are worthless. Second: whatever is inconsistent with the facts must be discarded or revised.
Rather simple. I'd tell them they have one life, so they must Carpe Diem. i bet you dont know what that means. The absence of god only makes me enjoy life even more.
EXCELLENT interviewer. She was well informed and asked interesting questions.
A side of Hitch lit by the interviewer. What a wonderful lady.

There's nobody with a greater command of language than Hitchens.

I feel sorry for CH for having to retell the story of his mom's death over and over and over again.
R.I.P. Hitchens
