Another great adventure. I agree with your “overlanding” definition. When I want to overland, I basically want the scenic route adventure. True some of the “off the beaten path” trails do require some off roading. But if I’m running solo or not in a group I’ll choose a more tamer route. Because I’d like to drive home in one piece
My son and I have done the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail from Hwy 29 north. This past summer we did some of the trails in the Keweenaw peninsula in the UP of Michigan starting at the terminus of US Hwy 41. Highly recommended lots of side trips to see lakes, rivers and waterfalls and an occasional former iron mine.
Thanks for taking us along on what really looks like a fun and relaxing fall trip. That rocky trail is one of those “can or should” choices-can we do it, sure-should we do it-nope!

Been missing you guys. Great content, great definitions on what overlanding is and what offroading is. Spot on!
Appreciate it!
If you ever get a chance you should check out Shawnee national forest in southern Illinois. I go there in my 4Runner at least once a year

Our pleasure!
Good little snip it of what the Missouri ozarks has to offer. Pretty much in my backyard.
Enjoying the video! Nothing wrong with a hotel room when that’s your only option.
I recognize that spot at LBL. That’s my home away from home.
The smart decision is oftern the toughest one to make. No worries turning around...
Great video! I love the Land Between the Lakes. Do you remember the location (or campground) you camped at the LBL?
Yes I do!
How do you keep the pinstripes off the side of your 4runner? I know you guys offroad more then me, mine looks pretty bad.
You don't:)
By Gosh, I sure hope Toyota would bring back the FJ Cruiser.
Hotel rooms is much like glamping, but at least in glamping, you know who slept in the bed.
