We all were trying to make that happen but it didn’t. It would have been a feat to climb it at the end. It was all rock at the bottom and 12” tree stumps all the way up to the rock ledge.

Alex Sanders is a bad ass. Ribcage is a beast. Had the opportunity to compete against him in Batesville at the Batesville motor speedway in a tuff truck competition. Almost rolled my truck and broke a drive line and front c/v shaft but had a blast.

Wes really got lucky being first and giving it all, think otherwise Tim would have killed the hill even without studs, he just got bad luck with the draw on this one and you saw him struggle to get into a good line with those deep ruts and stumps sticking out!
Momentum is key here, just my opinion. Secondly, the ones who made it up on the side out of bounds, you need to keep the go pedal pinned to the floor. Any let up stops momentum, and they are stuck.
As an old four-wheeler rider n dirtbike rider we😅 used to climb a hill twice if we climbed it before everyone else just to claim it. Good video love watching.

I have a set of those Rockwell axles with the ball and socket in a dumpster at work that are supposed to be headed to the scrap yard I plan on saving them if anyone in the new England area needs some really cheap Rockwell's lol

Okay a super charger on that first one is music to my ears and I think it’s more than just “falling in love”. Super chargers get me goin. I understand it’s mechanical and not free power like a turbski but I’d take a fat fully blown v8 before I touch a dual turbo charged anything
I think you do an excellent job on these films. It's tough getting to a good spot. It's tough keeping yourself safe, protecting your equipment and staying out of the driver's way all at the same time. The only thing that helps me is a mechanical gimbal for my camera. The rest is up to what the drivers, course and crowd give. I learn a lot about filming motorsports from watching you. Thanks!
I've been up some steep hills here in the Canadian Rockies but never had the bolts or balls for something like this. Looks nuts in the video so must be really gnarly in real life. Thanks for the upload.

Was hoping to see Wes go again at end just to see if he could do it after it was tore up. Once all those trunks got so exposed it seemed to be pushing every left. I'm really mixed on bolts in tires, mainly because of safety reasons, washers or not. They do same thing on some motorcycle hill climbs which is even more un-nerving since they often flip and bail. Track conditions changing is a factor in EVERY racing sport. Seeding order is a factor in almost every sport. Seeding has it’s shortcomings but I have never seen an example, in any sport, where they solve changing track conditions by manipulating seeding. That’s just dumb.
Those formula offroad trucks they run over in iceland and stuff with those paddles would fly up this hill. But this is a ehole different ball game. Pretty sick

When we did this kind of stuff in the 60's we used 4WD tractors. We soon found that my lowering the tire pressure and adding water to the tires helped a lot. Also lowering the throttle. But can they run water in the tires here for weight?
When your tires are spinning at 80 mph or more, water can be a bad idea. Weight is not your friend in this type of racing. It is all about power to weight ratio.
