Plus, it would've done serious damage to the ship, which it didn't. The baby couldn't have caused damage because it's leg was broken. Plus, people could've easily tranquilized it like what Roland did. Also, the ship was moving and moving fast and crashed into the docks. It would not sleep through that.

Did they really have to feed a great white shark to the Mosasaurus? They are a rare, very important species, and have to become very old to be this big. And they don't even remotely have any sufficient nutritional value to sustain the body of the Mosasaurus. So, what's the purpose of this "show" feeding? Sensationalism. But one of my most favorite was the one when our main protagonist kicked the mother alien in the face, and it retreated. *Of course* these indestructible beasts do have the alien equivalent of the "glass chin" some boxers have, just that it located in their snouts! 🙄
Personally. I think the movie is better. In the book, it’s just like “now we’re gonna find a raptor nest”. Although the story was longer, it felt more tacked together than the movie. Furthermore, the violence in the book feels more like it’s trying to be dark, compared to the movie which felt more story driven and not just violence for violence.
I will never tolerate hate toward The Lost World. In my mind that movie is up there with Aliens and Terminator 2 as a perfect movie sequel. Jurassic Park 3 is more a product of studio interference than a lust for money, much like Alien 3. I agree though. What I want is new ideas. There are a million stories to tell when you have living dinosaurs, but they keep telling the same one. I was honestly surprised that they were going for another functioning park when I saw the trailer for JW. Hybrids aren't new enough of a concept to warrant three more movies. Give us something truly new.
SERIOUSLY THIS FRANCHISE JUST NEEDS TO DIE AND HAVE A REAL ACTUAL REINVENTION NOT JUST A REMAKE! We just need a new and fresh adaptation of it that is true to the novel and rated R. I remember reading the book years ago and it was very violent and scary. From the very beginning this franchise has been inhibited by its PG-13 family friendly tone even though they did have some pretty dark moments scattered throughout the films I feel like it could be so much better especially now since r-rated movies are making more money ever since Deadpool
The most amazing thing about the original is they went into production with no idea how they were going to make the dinosaurs look real. I had assumed Spielberg was willing to try it because of new CGI tech he was confident could make it look realistic.
Thing is jurassic park was the first movie to ever put dinosaurs on screen and they nailed it. Which was part of the formula that made it so good. That's the factor it's missing bow days Which is why everyone hates the new movies . Jw1 only made so much because of people's expectation on it.
Deserves a sub just for that "explains a lot" clip of Trevorrow banging two dino toys into each other. 😆 Sad at the reveal of how much Spielberg is to blame for the crappy storylines though, damn. Great video!
Yeah he has some really goofy ideas occasionally, but he’s just so candid about it you can’t stay mad at him. Spielberg has the heart of a child, but Trevorrow has the mind of a child.
@@outsideintel Great TH-cam video and channel, but I found the background music was too loud and distracting. I would strongly suggest you get rid of it altogether. While l’ve grown to appreciate Jurassic Park 3 more over the years as l’ve witnessed the World franchise train wreck, in my opinion it is not the best Park sequel.
Whats great about Jurassic World 1 is, that (most likely unintentionally) it follows the predictions of Henry Wu in the original novel. There, Wu had inner thoughts about the creation of dinosaurs as an attraction, regarding that they have to look like the customers know and expect for marketing purposes. Then he predicted that customers would eventually lose interest, so they would make the dinosaurs more dangerous, more scary looking, and maybe create something new. This happened in World.
This was a good watch! Personally I think they should have stopped after The Lost World, and I was hoping they'd stop now after Dominion, but it looks like even more are on the way.
Many thanks! And yeah it’s even more infuriating they’re making more since Trevorrow said in an interview recently that Jurassic Park is “unfranchisable” and should never have had any sequels 😑
@@outsideintel I'm convinced he only said that because in reality he's just an inept bait & switch hack who got lucky with Jurassic World and the success for it all just went to his head.
Jurassic Park was amazing. The Lost World is darkly fantastic. Jurassic Park 3 is a fun romp, just turn off your brain. Jurassic World was absolutely awesome. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was alright. Jurassic World Dominion was.
Whenever I see scenes of JP1 I'm like "Man this movie is SO GOOD." It has pacing you will NEVER see these days since everything has to be 3 hours. However, I grew up with JP2 and fed on all the marketing (games, two comics, behind the scenes material, toys etc.) and have higher nostalgia for that one. Also I loved the tiger striped Raptors in JP2.
Michael Crichton was such a hack that he didn't just write "The Lost World" to create the sequel movie, he even retconned the fates of Ian Malcolm and John Hammond from the original book!
@@outsideintel I'm new to your channel and I've subscribed, I think your videos are really good. One TV show I think would be good for you to do. A show that had a long painful death is the Simpsons.
3:30 sorry but no. Its not even fair to compare them. Yes the movie is your staple summer blockbuster with some heart. But the book is another beast all together.
At the ending of Jurassic World, they should have had the Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex fist bump and then go their separate ways. That's what I thought was going to happen as I was watching this in theaters.
20:46 seriously between this this moment and him saying the word turd was the most unnatural forced thing I believe I've ever heard. Just giving you crap man you do a good job on these videos
Making Wu a mad scientist was a good idea I think. It paved the way for him to absolutely kill it as Dr. Hugo Strange in the Gotham tv show, just chewing all of the scenes!
I never had trouble understanding Sarah Harding. Do people these days not understand words like "narcoleptic"? Seriously? I never batted an eye, even way back in the 90's. "Narcoleptic" is a junior high word, tops (IMO). The second movie, despite its flaws is better than the third.
The scene where the kids are in the stupid moving ball and looking at their phones not even interested in the dinosaurs is just the pinnacle of the problems with the modern generations. In the 90's the original was about so much wonder and appreciation for dinosaurs. All of that is gone and replaced with cynicism, nihilism, politics and disgusting characters.
ooof i love your work a lot, but i gotta hard disagree on the acting in jp3 vs the lost world. i did a recent rewatch of 3, and i literally had to turn it off because i wasnt buying the dialogue and acting. that said, i can watch jp1 and the lost world anytime (even if the second isn't a good film)
Jurassic World was awesome. That and the first one, Jurassic Park, are the only good ones Also. Why do people care about product placement? Oh no, I saw someone drink a coke in a movie; oh no, I saw a Mercedes! I never went and bought a car after watching a movie. The fact people bitch about product placement is what gives it so much attention
Jurrasic Park managed reimagine dinosaurs as active cunning creatures that would be still around if space rock didn't change everything. Lost World continued in it and JPIII at least tried. World trilogy throw all of that out of window for empy specticle and huge pile of nonsense that might worked in parody. At least we have Prehistoric Planet. And Park and Kingdom.
what never made sense, dumb idea in the first place, theme park of dinosaurs, then how did they grow to adult size so quick! what if a t rex takes 80 years to grow full size? if i can't believe some of it, it's crafp.
Love your videos. Just want to mention a couple things that annoy and anger me about some people in these movies. Bryce dallas howard insisted on wearing high heels to outrun a t-rex, and wayne knight was a pedophile. You pretty much said everything else.
To this day, I am still aggravated watching those kids in the original. Like, you're hiding from something scary and your first thought is to literally shine a giant flashlight around? Even as a kid natural instinct is to stay still and quiet and unnoticable until the danger is passed. Like, just Darwin levels of survival instinct there lol
In my opinion, the only good Jurassic movies are: -Jurassic Park: though very generic plot wise, what this movie managed to do for all future movies will always be worth praising it for. The cgi, animatronics, cast, etc. all perfect. My only complaint is it feels very predictable and generic story wise. -Jurassic Park 3: not a good film by any means, but a dumb fun movie. Think of Kong x Godzilla 2. -Jurassic World: my personal favorite in the Jurassic franchise. I understand why a lot of you don’t like it, but man oh man is it fun. It’s just non stop fun from start to finish. Goofy? Of course, but so much fun.

I think the novel Jurassic Park is better than the movie. Spielberg didn't amp it up, he dumbed it down and sanitized it for kids.
I think the dialogue and flow is better in the film, but I love the book and og script by Rick Carter.
And that was what Crichton wanted to write originally
I still love all the movies no matter what anybody’s opinion is same with Camp Cretaceous. I still love it no matter the flaws.❤
The 3rd movie is better than 2nd as much as Alien 3 is better than Aliens.
Alien 3 is better than Aliens
You forgot the best part about JPIII, where the Raptor says, “Alan.” 😂 on par with, “Clever girl.”
After a lot of thinking JURASSIC PARK /// May actually be my favourite sequel.
How on earth is Jurassic World already 10 years old??
It turns 10 next year
"Just like a cuttle fish" LOL
Enjoying your videos keep up the good work looking forwards to seeing what movies you do next 😀
Much appreciated! 🙏🙏 Got a bunch coming up next year
SERIOUSLY THIS FRANCHISE JUST NEEDS TO DIE AND HAVE A REAL ACTUAL REINVENTION NOT JUST A REMAKE!
Exactly, it’s the producers who demand bigger, scarier, etc. The more action you pack into a film the more dull the action is.
For you it may have been the first, dinos on the screen but Bruce Force gives the finger to that.
I firmly believe that background music is distracting, annoying, and unnecessary (especially for educational or opinionated videos with lots of talking). I also believe that people want to hear you speak/get information/hear your opinions and not hear generic background music that doesn't really add anything useful and that people have to mentally filter out. Plus it will be one less thing you will have to do when making videos. Thank you.
Fallen Kingdom & Dominion were the only garbage storylines.
JW storyline was tolerable but still had considerable issues (imo). All 3 movies had potential, but... 😮💨
3:11 I remember when that used to say "MAY BE closer than they appear" Ah, the Mandela Effect :D hah
Jurassic World should have been Pratt battling to bring Christianity to the Dinosaurs 😂
And teaching them to speak.
Fallen Kingdom is utter shit and Dominion is an abomination.
0:22 oh snap Paul from The Wonder Years is a Jurrasic stan too! 👍🏼
It wasn't John Hammond it was one of his coworker who shut down the system there still dinosaur DNA for another company
realy one the first one was good
Thank u I love you
nah i can't stand for the Lost World slander lol
Whenever I see scenes of JP1 I'm like "Man this movie is SO GOOD." It has pacing you will NEVER see these days since everything has to be 3 hours. However, I grew up with JP2 and fed on all the marketing (games, two comics, behind the scenes material, toys etc.) and have higher nostalgia for that one. Also I loved the tiger striped Raptors in JP2.
Michael Crichton was such a hack that he didn't just write "The Lost World" to create the sequel movie, he even retconned the fates of Ian Malcolm and John Hammond from the original book!
I was appalled when I look at your subs count, a video of this production quality deserves at least 5k subs.
That really means a lot! Hopefully if we do hit 5k one day, they will all be as dope as you 🤍
RIGHT?!

This video is quality, all the way through. You deserve a much larger following. Subscribed 🎬
Very many thanks! 🙏🙏🙏
Where is the soundbyte at 23:59 from? LMAO
Sam Raimi would be great to give a gritty movie
These Jurassic park movies have been done to death ..
You deserve a lot more views, the video is very good and entertaining
Thanks! That is very much appreciated 🙏
@@outsideintel I'm new to your channel and I've subscribed, I think your videos are really good. One TV show I think would be good for you to do. A show that had a long painful death is the Simpsons.
@@mrmeerkat1096 Many thanks!! That definitely would be a great one to do, but they'd probably be on season 54 by the time we finish it.
Jurassic Park, the movie, is better than Jurassic Park the book? Are you NUTS?!?! Movie is great, to be sure, but better than the book? No way!
32:00 member berries - and OH GOODNESS Dominion was soooooooooooooo bad
3:28 Can't wait to read the comments about this take- actually, no I don't.
I cant believe this channel isn't bigger, how can I send you money?
Your kind words are the only currency we need! 😂🙏
The first was a near perfect film.
Then they did a sequel.
30:22 I think that dino said "Wazzap"
ooof i love your work a lot, but i gotta hard disagree on the acting in jp3 vs the lost world. i did a recent rewatch of 3, and i literally had to turn it off because i wasnt buying the dialogue and acting. that said, i can watch jp1 and the lost world anytime (even if the second isn't a good film)
Hold on to your butts, gentlemen
But.. At what cost..?
Jurassic World was awesome. That and the first one, Jurassic Park, are the only good ones
Also. Why do people care about product placement? Oh no, I saw someone drink a coke in a movie; oh no, I saw a Mercedes! I never went and bought a car after watching a movie.
The fact people bitch about product placement is what gives it so much attention
The military storyline is SO DUMB that using Gray Alien Folklore where Hammond is a Grey secretly research DNA to correct theirs makes more sense
Joe Pesci did great job potraying.. indie horror Orson Welles?
Clearly defined
Jurrasic Park managed reimagine dinosaurs as active cunning creatures that would be still around if space rock didn't change everything. Lost World continued in it and JPIII at least tried. World trilogy throw all of that out of window for empy specticle and huge pile of nonsense that might worked in parody.
At least we have Prehistoric Planet. And Park and Kingdom.
21:40 the female version of John Hammond in Jurassic Park 2 and look it's the sequel to the previous movie LOL at least they're consistent
what never made sense, dumb idea in the first place, theme park of dinosaurs, then how did they grow to adult size so quick! what if a t rex takes 80 years to grow full size? if i can't believe some of it, it's crafp.
Underrated video
Much appreciated 🙏
Jeff Goldblum is too jewey to ever be called "hunky".
You sweetie pie🎉
Love your videos. Just want to mention a couple things that annoy and anger me about some people in these movies. Bryce dallas howard insisted on wearing high heels to outrun a t-rex, and wayne knight was a pedophile. You pretty much said everything else.
To this day, I am still aggravated watching those kids in the original. Like, you're hiding from something scary and your first thought is to literally shine a giant flashlight around? Even as a kid natural instinct is to stay still and quiet and unnoticable until the danger is passed. Like, just Darwin levels of survival instinct there lol
18:27 they should take off and nuke the entire site from orbit
Jurassic world released in modern China.
Out bc of all the review.
In my opinion, the only good Jurassic movies are:
-Jurassic Park: though very generic plot wise, what this movie managed to do for all future movies will always be worth praising it for.
In what universe is Chris Pratt 'douchey'?
Of all the creeps and hypcrites in Hollywood, hes probably the only likeable person there.
I wish I could go back to 93 and see it again with fresh eyes. Every subsequent film got worse.
I am with you.
im done u said jp3 is more watchable xD
jeff goldblum + julianne moore = 100% black daughter was confusing
She wasnt her daughter
Best part 11:20 😂😂😂
11:47 is not far behind though 💀💀💀
“YOUR LUCKY PAAAAACK!!” 😦
I'm starting to think Speilberg is overrated. He's made some pretty stupid shit over the years. lol.
