Klay's pride makes him this season's chump..I really trusted he loved the bay, steph and the dubs enough to get a deal done..Turns out he's just another greedy athlete, in denial of his declining worth, wanting special recognition..

From Detroit, while not counting anyone else's dollars, Klay has been instrumental in the Warriors 4 Championships and heavily responsible for the inflated value of the Warrior Franchise.
I realize it's professional sports, however given the circumstances, the feel good thing to do would be to allow Klay to finish as a Warrior...

Klay thomposon at the beginning of last season waid no the a ton of money. Klay just said no to the team again he clearly does not want to be here anymore. No amount of money,will bring him back if he does not want to play here anymore.
This reminds me of their post game interviews after losing to the Lakers in the playoffs in the 22-23 season. At the end of Klay's, he said something along the lines of, "...at the end of the day, I'm still on contract with the Dubs.." ...for some reason, at the time, I thought that was a weird thing to say. Like bringing up your contract situation as opposed to just being like "Yeah, Dub Nation! Just you wait, we're gonna get that chip next year!!" .... Maybe it's a reach, but something told me then that something was up with Klay's overall happiness on the team.
I know he said before that it would be cool to be a Warrior for life, so I'd be sad if he felt like he was being forced out, or that the fans have turned on him, etc. Sigh, I dunno.

Its not about the money for Klay, its about how he feels he was treated, all these comments from the organization saying " Of course we want Klay back" yet no attempts to renegotiate the first offer the entire time even letting it get to free agency! I dont blame Klay for leaving they should have at least offered him what they gave Draymond.

Just my opinion and thoughts, so no trolling. In all of this discussion around Klay and GSW brass, I find myself going back to Draymond, his impact, and the team finishing in 10th place...he missed 17 games. If the Warriors had actually held him accountable, stopped enabling his tantrums and egregious behavior, maybe he doesn't miss that many games? I feel that if the Warriors had won just a handful of those 17 games, things would look entirely different. Team synergy, morale, and player dynamics shifts momentum, performance and trajectory. Shoulda woulda coulda. I think Klay's behavior, while impactful, pales in comparison to Draymond's behavior and impact this past season, but yet again, it's being swept under the rug. NBA is a business, but treat your contractors/employees with respect.
AND now, Klay is officially with the Dallas Mavericks. 3 years, $50 million, last year player option.

I think he’s been great so far. Podz and TDJ are nobodies? At the slots they got drafted? Getting rid of that Poole contract was a GREAT move, and getting out of the tax is good for the organization. This last draft, he got 2 interesting players with only one pick at number 52. So far, to me, Dunleavy gets an A+

How can the Warriors let Klay go out like that? The Warriors is a bad organization under new GM Mike Dunleavy. This is mismanagement big time. They won't win another ring under GM Mike Dunleavy. He should be FIRED for handling Klay like that! They signed Draymond for $100/4 years who punched his teammate and got suspended for acting like a thug and let Klay walk whose only fault was getting injured for giving his all every time he steps on the court. Joe Lacob needs to get a better GM. Mike Dunleavy Jr doesn't know what he is doing. He's only the GM because he is a former Warrior and his Dad (Mike Dunleavy Sr) who was a Coach in the NBA probably called the the Warriors and ask Golden State to give his son a shot as GM. How do you trade Jordan Poole for Chris Paul last summer and then waive Chris Paul this summer and get nothing back for Chris Paul.
I became a Warrior fan in 1992. For me my favorite players are these Top 5 in franchise history within the past 30 years in this order: Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jason Richardson , Tim Hardaway & Chris Mullen.
How could the Warriors still be interested? Just look at Klay’s performance last two years (or since he came back from his two back to back injuries). Klay didn’t tango on the court and that translated to whatever disrespectful contract the front office offered him.

Warriors should get deni avdjia. He has a very low contract and he gives you elite defence. Abd at least 15 points per game.
The young guys can go for a championship if given a chance by Kerr. They are ready to go. Thankfully they didn't trade their future for GP.
The Draymond effect is real. I just wish Steph Curry had a little more of the 'king-maker' mentality that Lebron James has. Curry could wield power like Lebron and craft his best supporting cast. I just think Curry does not utilize his influence in a big enough way.
