      Also left a point guard who dominated the ball & was hard to vibe with. PG on the wing takes alot of that responsibility away from Embiid.
      IMO, a big part of Embiids issue was that in addition to inside play, he had to take on the role of a perimeter scorer/ creator, which stressed his frame. He won’t need to do that as much as. Also having a legit big to spell him helps

Klay is probably better off in Dallas; unless GSW finds a way to trade for Markkanen while keeping Kuminga; hopefully Utah REALLY likes Andrew Wiggins. The bigger question about the Spurs is why would even make a trade that forces them to give up their draft picks just to get a quick run at the playoff, its not like Lauri makes them favorites in the west. The talent in 2025/2026 drafts is insane and they would be much better off being bad this year and trading for Lauri or someone afterward, when they already have more rookies on cheap deals that can grow with Wemby for two decades. A big trade makes zero sense when you can get lucky and have 2 picks in the top 5 of a stacked draft with another 2 picks in the top 20. Thats how you build a team cheaply for many years.

    • @mambaASI
      @mambaASI 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on wemby. He's already stated in many interviews he's highly motivated to win games and wants to compete in playoffs every year. He probably does not have the mentality of a player who is willing to be bad for yet another year or more just to gamble on some draft picks who will themselves need years to develop into high level contributors. Also wemby is already good enough to compete in the playoffs. He's a lot like shaq when he entered the league in that regard. Magic went to nba finals in shaq's third year. Wemby can do the same with spurs, he just needs the talent and veterans around him asap. Getting cp3 was a decent first step, although I woulda preferred trae at pg. Lauri is certainly interesting as well, depending on the assets needed to land him.

    • @blablablaa14
      @blablablaa14 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mambaASI The thing is. He never said that. They asked him if he wants to win more. He said Yes. Not "rush the rebuild asap" and their actions show it. They just rented CP3 for one season, so he doesn't disturb the rebuild

    • @mambaASI
      @mambaASI 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@blablablaa14 that's fair, he never said to rush the rebuild. But he's made it clear he's a winning type of player. I really doubt he has it in him to be part of a lottery team for another season, maybe even more if spurs really try to tank it up for the rebuild. Especially given that his rival chet is on a legit title contending team already. If my rival was having that kind of success while I'm basically a bottom feeder knowing that I can be doing so much more, that would get to me. Can't imagine how a serious competitor like wemby would feel. Time will tell if and how his public words change on the rebuild issue

    • @blablablaa14
      @blablablaa14 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mambaASI Its not taking if you don't trade all your assets for a quick few wins. Its rebuilding. Wemby has it in him to be whatever will be needed. He knows he wont win a title every year. He's also smart enough to understand when they tell him "Hi the next draft is going to be insanely strong, we will keep our money and assets strong for another year, and by 2025 we will have such an amazing roster, we will be great for a decade straight instead of 2-3 years and then flame out". Most big trades fail, Wemby is smart enough to understand. Its not like Wemby has any options. Every rookie signs the first max contract, which means he's a Spurs for another 7 years. And don't forget that Wemby was a Spurs fan growing up. He is not leaving the Spurs or getting mad. That's just narrative from a media upset they have to talk about San Antonio and not the Lakers/Knicks/Warriors for once. Also Wemby isn't envious of Chet who is not his rival. He's the pushover Wemby demolishes regularly. And the third best player on his team at best. He's not Wemby level and Wemby has shown that so much. They aren't a comparison anymore. Chet just a role player

Last season was considered one of PGs best and he was like what? The 40th best player in the league? What are the chances he plays 70+ games again? What are the chances Embiid's going to play more than 50 games and not start pointing fingers at everyone else again?

    I said it when the players signed this new CBA and I'm saying it again. The players got duped, the top 10-15 guy's are going to get their money but every one else is going to have to take less. It's obvious that this keeps owners from spending the money they would've normally spent. Worst free agency year ever.

      My rebuttal is WHY ARE YUH SHOCKED? Mi speaking from a PRODUCER, BLESSED WRITER WITH OVER A 100K SONGS WRITTEN AND TONS OF MUSIC OUT PERSPECTIVE!
      - Its the same thing that's HAPPENING IN MUSIC WITH DIGITAL STREAMING! When di FANS ALLOWED RECORD LABLES to keep REAL CREATIVE ARTISTS WITH REAL TALENT AND PASSION, on di shelves, and fuk dem outta money and constantly keep dem in a RECOUPING ENVIRONMENT OR ALWAYS HAVING TO PAY BACK LOANS- Now di big conglomerate companies like 'SPOTIFY, APPLE MUSIC' and other have just taking over what di record companies were doing to artists. NOW DEM PAYING ARTISTS PENNIES FOR A STREAM.
      FANS WOULD RATHER PAY SPOTIFY WHO IS ALREADY A 'MULTI BILLION DOLLAR ENTITY' 'A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION' for their favorite artists music/catalogue...,INSTEAD OF PAYING A LITTLE MONEY TO THAT ARTIST DIRECTLY TO BE ABLE TO HAVE AT LEAST A LIVABLE WAGE, EAT AND FEED THEIR FAMILIES! SO THE FREE AGENCY IN BASKETBALL IS NOT JUST AN ISOLATED TANGENT. This will be happening in ALL FACETS OF ALL INDUSTRIES UNTIL THE CONSUMERS STEP UP AND SAY, 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!'
      Now STREAMING COMPANIES ARE DICTATING AND ARTISTS WORTH AND VALUE OF THEIR ART WORTH! I did a song called 'F.U.S.A.M.!'- Its acronym for more sinister plot thats going on right under consumers noses! I labeled it 'FUSAM' because i studied ALGORITHMS FOR FOUR LONG YEARS POST PANDEMIC! Sometimes sitting in front of my desktop or lap top FOR 24 HOURS STRAIGHT 'NO HYPERBOLE,' and going on STREAMING SITES LIKE 'SPOTIFY' and i found out ARTISTS ARE BEING CHEATED OUT OF THEIR STREAMS! To bring up what you stated ONLY THE TOP 10-15 GUYS WILL BE GETTING PAID!
      On that same tangent, only di [TOP 500 MAINSTREAM ARTISTS] WILL BE GETTING PAID AS WELL! This is the LYFE AND TYMES WE LIVE IN! When di FANS DON'T GO TO BAT FOR DI ARTISTS OR ATHLETES, THIS IS WHAT YUH GIT- A WATERED DOWN FREE AGENCY OR A WATER DOWN MONOTONOUS MUSIC INDUSTRY!
      Artists would be pissed to know what i find out! However...., the sad thing is 98% of di artists DON'T WATCH OR MONITOR THEIR OWN STREAMS. They intrust that the LABLES OR DIGITAL STREAMING SERVICES WILL DO THAT FAIRLY AND OPERATE WITH A CODE OF ETHICS AND REPORT NUMBERS ACCURATELY....NOPE!
      For anybody who does NOT LOOK AT THINGS DEEPER THEN WHATS ON DI SURFACE- For anybody saying "MUSIC AND SPORTS is NOT RELEVANT" in this particular situation...YOU'RE WRONG! EVERYTHING NOW IS ALL ABOUT ENTERTAINMENT AND NUTTEN ELSE! This is one of di things that di 'GLOBAL ELITES' implemented wit di DI PANDEMIC! DI GLOBAL RESET!...DI GLOBAL RESET IN ALL INDUSTRIES SPORTS, MUSIC etc....Everybody thought tis was just "ABOUT A PANDEMIC VIRUS CALLED COVID", NOPE! ITS MUCH MUCH DEEPER AND SINISTER! Yuh know it is because, when mi try to make people aware of it on other GLOBAL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, the POSTS ARE EITHER SHADOW BANNED, OR NOT GIVING MUCH JUICE IN THE ALGORITHMS!
      Big ups for your comment and mi hope more people realize what yuh said was poignant and a big concern! THNGS GOING FORWARD ARE CHANGING IN DI NBA FAR AS FREE AGENCY AND MI SURE OTHER SPORTS WILL FOLLOW SUIT!
      Blessings and nuff rispek

    Klay Thompson was given a max contract when he got injured TWICE, no one was willing to trade for him as they viewed him as done/washed but GSW stuck by him all while defending that he's still integral to there plan's for the future. 48 million for two year's plus bonuses would've freed up enough to retain CP3, grab a 5 like Drummond for a year and maybe have enough to get in a veteran's deal.
