I live in Louisiana where it can get 110 degrees. I went with Ceramic for that reason alone. It keeps heat out better than regular tint. I don’t know much about carbon tint.
As someone who got the tint on the windshield I kinda regret it because I've gotten some rock pits on the windshield and they look like white marks and look really ugly. So I will eventually just replace it. But since the windshield is tinted I'm hanging on to it for as long as possible.. It is nice to not have to put up the sun protector though as I was initially worried about it cracking in the cali sun.
Yeah man it sucks. I was never a fan of tinting the front windshield anyway, because I don't like the blurring effect it gives from on coming headlights at night. But once I started experiencing the whole white rock chip thing your talking about, it was an immediate removal for me.
I put cheep amazon dyed regular tint on my car. After I found out how cheep it was I ordered much nicer nano ceramic tint to put on. Yep doing it my self. I used the entire 100ft roll of the 45$ cheep amazon stuff practicing so I can put the nice stuff on without messing up. I wouldn't go below carbon my self. it would be 500 to 700 for the new stuff I got to have some pro shop put it on. No matter what tint you get if your car is in the sun for an hour it will get hot no matter what, but your car will cool down faster with ceramic vs non ceramic.
Yeah labor is what is majority of the cost when you get tinted from a shop the film is cheap even if you get high quality one. As long as your patient and willing to learn it would come out great and save you tons of money
some people even go with a clear UV film for the windshield. i was watching an owners video on the cybertruck and it appears to be very helpful, especially when the vehicle is parked. it was mentioned Tesla’s ventilation kicks on to extract cabin heat even when unattended, thus lowering stored range.
Interesting didn’t think about that. Very useful for EV when you’re trying squeeze every single mile. I saw a cyber truck in person and couldn’t believe my eyes with the design
Here in FL, it gets to 100+ degrees, maxing out the UV index too. Along with the fact that I use a Radar Detector on a daily basis, Ceramic is the only option to me. Carbon blocks less sun, and more of my radars detection abilities. Lol.
From personal experience, never tint at the dealership and if the car is already tinted don't take it. It's worthless. Why is it worthless? When you negotiate you can take out the price of it (usually an add on) if they are willing to let go of the price of it, the tint may not be the best quality
@@Red5oh Yeah I made the mistake once to get the dealership tint. It came out with bubbles in the back window, had to take it 3 times to get redone till they get it right
Thank you! I do have one like that where it’s just the exhaust sound! I think I posted it few months ago. Check it out! I’ll have more as weather is starting to get nicer

Yeah that makes sense. If I lived in that bit of a climate I’d go with ceramic as well to keep mustang cool during hot summer

Interesting I never considered that but it makes sense! I am glad I did not tint my windshield

Yeah in that case ceramic tint makes perfect sense! Especially in that 100+ weather

Yeah a lot of dealers try to push tint as an add on and while show it as $500 option lol. Most tint shops will do it for $150 or so

What you think of fx premium tint quality for fx premium tint for 280 :)
Depends what premium if it’s still regular dye tint then not worth it. If it’s ceramic then it’s a good price
Do you have a link where you got the wheels from? Did you use spacers or is just the offset without spacers? They look nice!
These are LMR SVE SP2 wheels. Got them from LMR. They are 19x10 +35 offset without spacers
@@Red5oh thanks!
What state are you in?
MD u?
@@Red5oh I’m in Ga
the tint looks good on video. where did you get it done, and would you recommend them?
I got it done from a local shop. It’s been 3 years and it’s holding up fine so yes I’d recommend it
I got quotes 350$ for dye tint on Chevy Cruze all around accept windshield as the cheapest option. I did not go for it
That’s expensive for regular tint. Maybe prices have gone up since I’ve gotten mine but I wouldn’t expect to pay more than $200 for regular tint
Sweet looking ride!
Thank you man!
Been watching you for a min can you do like a pov drive just a whole vid of it plzzz

20% ceramic looks darker than 20% dyed or hybrid.
Interesting I didn’t know that!
Thats a gangster ride bro…
Thanks man! Tint really contrast well with the race red color
