Hands down, the number one most requested video is this studio apartment tour, but I put it off for so long for several reasons: I felt sort of shy about sharing the details of our personal space, it was never exactly how I wanted it, never felt like cleaning or organizing everything, and honestly, it’s pretty difficult to film details and multiple angles of such a tight space. BUT - luckily, my landlord had to inspect the apartment recently and we had to clean/organize it for the visit, so I got over my reservations, took advantage of the opportunity, and here we are. I totally understand if our apartment style is not your style, but we love it the way it is! Like I said in the description, I didn’t want to share this video for a long time because I knew there would be some criticism, but I guess I’ve come to realize that I just have my own way of doing things/appreciating what I like and wanted to share that on here. watching apartment tours is one of my favourite things to do when im bored, and GOD im so bored of everyone’s minimalistic, all white studios where they only have a bed and like, one picture hanging. this vid was such a breath of fresh air!

I looooove that "cluttered" look. People call it cluttered cus it looks almost hectic. But i feel like this hectic chaos has a beautiful order and harmony

I love your apartment! It’s got that “cluttered” but not overwhelming thing. That’s not a bad thing btw. It’s like got all these fun and unique trinkets that all have their own meaning but match together so well and every time you turn there’s a new story with the decor. So cute!

The relationship between 'stuff' and space is manageable, though I think that if you acquire much more you will need to move!
A good example of how to keep and enjoy your 'stuff', while making the space inviting.
I found a picture of your kitchen on Pinterest, thought "how do people make older kitchens look so nice and cosy?", wanted to know more so I clicked the link to your blog, read that you have a video and decided to watch, and it's now brought me to your channel which I will now binge watch. Because after a quick scroll through your videos and blog post, your aesthetic is so different. Photographers (which I think is what you are) have such an eye and their videos and photos are just on another level.
I love that your apartment looks actually lived in, not minimalist and white (which I'm a little sick of seeing), you have such clever ways to introduce more storage, and about that kitchen - I love how cosy it feels even though it's older. Normally I'd go "eughh" if it was me, but you've made it look in a way where I'd actually use it and enjoy spending time in there xD

Your home is a reflection of who you are and that's what makes it unique. Yours looks great. Very cozy and inviting. I love how you used wood pallets as a wall and to raise your bed. Also love the use of cinder blocks. Plus all the great thrift finds. Your very creative.

Hi Audrie. I think we live are in a culture where it's so easy for people to share their opinions and that is great. Unfortunately some people are just rude, cold and just plain unhappy with their existence that even if they may like something they feel so free to criticize for no reason. As though they are perfect and their stuff does't stink! But as I always say haters are going to hate. So we ignore them and keep on moving. In the grand scheme of things they mean nothing. Soooo I said all of that to say that being an eclectic person myself I truly enjoyed your space . I love you sustainability with your recycled, thrift-ed, and D.I.Y. pieces. Your home is warm, bright and soulful. Unlike all of that shiny silver showroom stuff that people call glam.

I love it. I grew up in a sterile house and wasn't allowed in certain areas and couldn't touch things. My bedroom was decorated by an interior designer 2x once before birth and once at 9yrs old. I was not allowed to move furniture around. Or change the white comforter with rosebuds nor the sheer red curtains. One painting on my wall was of poppys in red on white walls. At 17 Billy idol was allowed to briefly occupy a space behind my door. I moved out at 18 and I loved creating a space that reflected who lives there. I actually use all my furniture. I have collections on display and somedays I don't make my bed. I have ceramic plates mismatched and no 2 glasses nor coffee cups match . It's me and I love every imperfect inch. Your space is unique to you and your husband. It's your nirvana .

Love this - I love and appreciate seeing everyone’s personal style of decorating. I have a tendency to drag driftwood and sticks home to make all sorts of things, mainly plant hangers and stands. I’m going to go out foraging for a stick to make into a necklace hangar ❤️

This is STUNNING, Audrie. I love how you’ve mixed old and new but it’s still cosy and inviting. I’m 44 and I’m finally embracing what I truly love and make no apologies for it. It’s my style and my home. If folks don’t like it then that’s okay. We’re ALL entitled to live how we want and decorate how we want. We’d ALL be a lot happier if we just lived by what we love and stopped the hate and negativity because we don’t understand another’s style or choices.
