      I did a small block Chevy rebuild in school the only way it was feasible was photos,videos and labeling literally everything.

    This brings back memories of the first bike I built back in the day. It was a 1976 Honda CB750. Tank of a bike but had a lot of fun on it. :)

    For the ball bearings: a small magnet can be a friend for getting them out...a larger ring magnet can be a great friend for getting them back in :)

    • @demonrathunter
      @demonrathunter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      never use a magnet on them. It will magnetize them enough they will attract metal particles and cause premature wearing. Learned that in tech school years ago.

      Ahh...damn...didn't think of that...thank you!

      @@gregorythomas333 No problem. I like to pass on things I have learned from years of repairing Motorcycles. " now that I am retired " lol

    That was the year I got my Suzuki Hustler! (250cc, Drum brakes to slow you gently down, Steering Damper to make it go in a straight line when you wanted to go round a bend ...... you get the picture) ;0)

    I am no guru of motorcycles, but I do like to tinker around with small engines, that said. My buddy had a 76 Honda like that, always complained of how it would cut off on him once it got hot. Every time he mentioned it, I would ask him "Have you rebuilt the carburetor yet?" or tell him "Rebuild your carb." I already did that he would say. 2-3 years of him saying that, he finally took apart the carb and discovered he had a torn diaphragm in it. So, save yourself some time and replace a 48 year old diaphragm ;)

    This bike didn't need a restoration, it needs riding.

    My first street bike was a 1970 Honda CB750. Rode it from Kingsport Tn. to Jacksonville Fla. in three days. I couldn't walk straight for a week. LOL, I'm looking for one now to restore.

    Crazy amount of work. Total respect about that. I have questions! Why are the welds on the frame so ugly? And why is there so many wires in the headlight?

      The first thing you buy is a parts book with exploded diagrams of every sub assembly. The internet is ok but you can't beat having the correct model/year book in front of you.

    Juston, I just saw you on Andy’s channel with your miter saw restoration gift. I don’t know how to contact you other than this so I hope you get it. I would like to purchase a saw drop actuator attachment that you say you milled. Do you have extras for sale to fellow Stanley 358 owners??? Please!

    Having had many old bikes when I was younger and thrashed and crashed them into bits and pieces, I only wish I knew then what I know now. That most of them would be worth atleast 10x what I paid for them

    Sometimes with re up loads you might have missed something and it’s a new video for new viewers. That way if somebody needs a part or paint code or just help with a project of their own.
