great video again, wonderful shots, congrats i have a question about regulator pressure, im sure you have tested a lot of diferent settings, can you share some? what max speed do you get with 90 bar, and 100? and 110? and so on... and wich slug you have used to try ...i m trying to improve my gun and groups here
Hi Jacques and thanks for following 🙂 I have done lots of testing and it is difficult to remember all the settings and number. I have shared some of my settings on FX. 177 Owners on FB. Apart from that you can go hunting for settings in the videos. Do you have a particular setup in mind? What ammo you want to use and wich barrel (and gun)?
Great shooting. All your groups at that distant are respectable. But the 1.1 cm group had a flyer far away from the rest of the group? Can it really be excluded? Also what ammunition were you using?
Thanks buddy 🙂 To me it is not a big deal if can be excluded. So I will leave it up to the viewer. Like I said in the video, it would not be valid in a competition, but this video is more about general group size and wich velocity to choose 🙂 Im using the 16 gr Zan 😎
Fantastic video Peter - you pack so much good stuff into them. When you are increasing the fps by ca. +7 fps for each accuracy test, what is the average fps spread that you experience ? Thanks !
Thanks buddy 🤗 I was actually planning to include that info, but I completely forgot... DOH!!! But the spread was very good at all velocities. Max of 5 fps 😎 When I just start to tune it can be a bit more, but as the system settels in it drops.
@@VikingAirgunner By the way, thinking about your very low spread - are you using a "high flow" port at the beginning of the new barrel, or are you using the standard FX port that comes attached to the new barrel ?
@@nonickname6154 Im using the standard transfer port. Since I changed from the dual hole transfer port my spread has been so much better and I havent had to raise the reg all that much 🙂 PS New video tomorrow 😎
That’s the prettiest shooting range I’ve ever seen. That plastic top on your new heavy wooden shooting bench was a great idea. Do you shoot any other calibers?
I feel so priviledged to be able to use it 🙂 Gun laws here in Denmark are quite restrictive, so shooting anything over 22 is a hazzle. Courses, permits... I had an idea of doing something about it a while ago, but now that the 177 is working so well I dont really feel the need to go bigger 🙂
Congratulations on the result. Even if you have made a new stable shooting table, I am pretty sure you will have to get down and lie on your stomach to make smaller groups. My new heavy slugs liner still shoots best at approx. 296-298 m/s, which is the same speed as the old pellet liner, which again leads me to conclude that if the speed has to decrease, I would guess that the liner must have a higher twist rate.
It would be very interesting to see what a different twist rate would do 🤔 Me being fat as a whale would never get up from that position 😂 No I think it would be fun to try some day 🙂
Dælme spænende at følge.
Like I said in the video - I experience that the groups start to fall apart when rising above 985 fps. But the std barrel likes it fast 😎 But in that one my best groups has been around the 985 pfs 🙂
@@VikingAirgunner Yeah, i suppose there also are some differences in the barrels. I should probably try and go down in speed in smaller increments, CUZ i have to admit i have been jumping back and forth in larger jumps as i have also played with heavier slugs. Hoping for another long warm summer. Anyway installing the new heavy barrel, and i probably have to start all over looking for sweet spot.
@@peashooter950 The long way of testing through 5-7 fps at the time really pays off if you really give yourself the time. And then you only have to do it once 🤓
The Wind is everything...Good job Peter, excellent presentations.
Agree 🙂
And thank you so much Mac 🙂
Just received my .177 barrel and your videos are really teaching me the right way of tuning it. Thank you b
Im happy to help 🙂
Shooting groups can get very frustrating. There are so many variable factors that can cause problems. Nice shooting range you have there.

It's really good for fx mk3 with a slug nose, you have to use the temperature adjustment, what should be the polygon
Hi, I enjoy watching your videos, are you planning to buy FX Panthera?
As for now I am not planning to buy it. I am very sure that it is a great gun and I would love to test it 😃
The new valve system sounds interesting 🤓
Awesome video Peter great info 👍 aa always thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍 that is one very accurate 177 m3 700mm I like it 👌
Thanks mate 🙂
Things has really changed with the heavy liner 😎

I went for the wilderness look 😎😃
