My favorite thing about the sauce is the sheer versatility of it. Not only is it good on burgers, it's good on hot dogs and most sandwiches, ESPECIALLY reubens.
I got some teeth yanked out today and it’s been ages since I’ve had in and out. I travel for work a lot being an ironworker and I’ll be on a soft food regiment for awhile gonna whip this up tonight!
This what I called the “Lui Special”. Quick backstory worked at in n out for a decent amount of time and grew a bite of the usual. Also saw customers get specific to the T and thought I should do the same. Here we go: 3x3- animal , extra whole grill instead , mustard instead. No lettuce, extra toast the buns, and … cut in half. Animal fry and Rootbeer float with mostly vanilla shake. You’re welcome.
I don’t think they use ketchup, I think it’s tomato paste/puree. It would make sense if in fact, there were no added sugars. Would save money as well since they’d be paying for the tomato paste and not the added sugar and water.
No one truly “knows!” I was a level 3 and part of the morning clean up crew for 3 yrs at INO. They don’t tell the employees what goes in their sauce. And BTW David made what looks like a good burger. INO uses 100% steak burgers with just overly salted and peppered patties. That is it. Animal Style is a whole nother beast and I have a secret no youtuber has posted about INO.
@@Tyf13 Serious? But I thought everything was done fresh there, so that means that the sauce is made elsewhere and shipped into your stores. That’s disappointing.
@@one-eyepadidally8449 well no don’t worry the spread isn’t done “fresh.” Nor is everything in it’s entirety but more fresh than maybe 95% of any fast food chains in the US. And that is not only a high figure it is tough to maintain. The reason is that they (the family who owns in and out) doesn’t want anyone to know the recipe but honestly it can be easily mimicked these days. The burger patties (100% steak) are superb and come from the same farm INO has used since the beginning, the produce is always high quality, and the buns come from the same baker since INO started from the best of my knowledge. INO is truly the best fast food burger stop in the US. They do not lack on quality for quantity. Which is why they have taken so long to grow but it makes sense. They cared more about their product than money.
I tried making this with 1.5 cups of mayonnaise and it does NOT taste like an in n out sauce. He also used way less mayo than 1.5 cups in the video. I highly suspect he meant 0.5 cups of mayonnaise EDIT: Just tried making it with 0.5 cups of mayo, definitely tastes right
I think everyone making a video on how to make In-N-Out burger sauce all have same 4 ingredients. So it must be correct right? I dont know, i tasted a bit of flavoring like alspice, nutmeg or cloves. I just tasted the sauce as im writing this. You also have different types mayos, ketchup, relishes and vinegars that will make one sauce different from the next. Maybe rice wine vinegar or seasoned vinegar... who knows.
Followed your recipe to the T, and it is “missing” something. Did a taste comparison with a packet of spread I had, the packet still tastes a bit sweeter. I think maybe they use a regular high fructose corn syrup based ketchup. That’s probably it.
Serious?! (For those who don't know, Lynsi is the president of In-N-Out, and the granddaughter of the founders). Alright you have to tell me....am I even relatively close?? 🤣
How can you add ketchup and sweet relish and say it has no sugar when those two are loaded, they have like 10-20% pers tablespoon, doesn’t make sense, at least per the nutritional value
Don’t get it, ketchup, and sweet relish are loaded with sugar, and dill relish might have some, so how does their nutritional information say there’s no sugar, but your definitely using a detectable amounts of sugar, lol
I ate at In and Out as well as other places. The fries are subpar and the burger is nothing special. The spread is the only saving Grace. It is wonderful.
Its a west coast thing. We live cleaner on average so I found the reason I love in n out and hate only places is the high sodium and preservatives. In and out fries are not salted to pure shit and the burger patty actually tastes like beef. They never freeze anything. I tried 5 guys. Over salted, over priced, and just crap to me. Went once and never went back. I think east coast folks have a love for processed foods, every one i know from the east coast eats like a fucking child. Their taste buds are ruined.
Bro! Grated butter mixed into the ground meat before cooking! Mind =blown!!! That's next level
My favorite thing about the sauce is the sheer versatility of it. Not only is it good on burgers, it's good on hot dogs and most sandwiches, ESPECIALLY reubens.
This entire video was 🤌🏽
The angles, the cuts, the music, the humor
Awesome video, Love watching you do your thing
Found your channel today and I’m super impressed! Love your work man, good job!

Try it on scrambled eggs if you can have them!
Just made a burger tonight with this on it and it was INSANE. Perfectly captured the tast of in n out imo
It's passion. Thank u for this recipe.
is that butter with the hamburger?
Yes! Frozen, then shredded with a cheese grater. Mix it into the beef for really juicy burgers
From where did you get the spread's nutrition facts? I cannot find it myself.
I worked at In N Out in Torrance California in 1987. My first job.
My go-to order: double double with grilled onions. What’s yours?
Double double animal style, protein style.
4x4 grilled onions
3x3 Animal style, animal style fries, Flying Dutchman on the side, extra spread packet, pink lemonade/tea.
This what I called the “Lui Special”. Quick backstory worked at in n out for a decent amount of time and grew a bite of the usual. Also saw customers get specific to the T and thought I should do the same. Here we go:

You’re welcome.
Double double animal style, no tomato, extra chopped chili 🌶️
What’s the recipe for their burgers and cheese
So about what is the shelf life of this sauce
3 weeks should be fine if you're storing it in an airtight container
Everyone knows all fast food sauces have no shelf life.
Can anyone who has had in n out and tried this dupe lmk if it comes close to the original spread? Thanks in advance!
Do you know how they make the burger Patty? Like what seasoning do they use?
Just salt as far as I know
When you cooked burgers for In-N-Out. Did you have butter in the burger before cooking it?
We did not! Just salt on top :)
Are those spread packets free or they charge for those?
They're free, you can ask for extra when they're giving you their order
My oldest sister made the exact same recipe in 1961 and called it "Goop".
I don’t think they use ketchup, I think it’s tomato paste/puree. It would make sense if in fact, there were no added sugars. Would save money as well since they’d be paying for the tomato paste and not the added sugar and water.
I love this idea. I’m going to try this out sometime soon!

How much tomato paste do would you use in this recipe in place of the ketchup, about a tablespoon per cup and half of mayo?

I use that very same recipe but instead of straight vinegar I use apple cider. Other than that it's exactly the same! What a nice concidence 👍🏻😋
Great channel! See you at 1 mil subs in 3 years!
Fingers crossed! Thanks so much for being here my friend 🙏
I wonder if it’s tomato paste instead of ketchup.
We’re all just going to skim past grated hard butter in the burger? Is that a secret too?
Yoooooo I saw that too! Bout to do that today!!!I’ll let you know!
Dukes or Best Foods mayo, Heinz jalapeño catsup, Vlasic dill relish, a splash of real Worcestershire. Close, tasty with a hint of heat.
Great video. Good to know 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Me gusto tu salsa👍
I’ve never had IN-N-OUT but this looks great and I’m definitely going to give it a try!
thumbs up for high quality video.
First ingredient is soybean oil which is really awful for you. It also has corn syrup 🌽. It’s better to make it yourself without the seed oils

I see this same reciepe everywhere saying it’s McDonalds secret sauce as well
2:40 I've never seen so much bliss on a man's face
My children love in & out dayce
I just mixed mayo, ketchup, and relish. Tasted pretty much the same
But did it taste like in n out ?_?
Really givin us the sauce with this one man ;) please don't ban me for that pun. This video was so good
Followed your recipe to the T, and it is “missing” something. Did a taste comparison with a packet of spread I had, the packet still tastes a bit sweeter. I think maybe they use a regular high fructose corn syrup based ketchup. That’s probably it.
Gawdamnnnnn that burger looked fire smh
I thought it’s supposed to have pickles and onions
My wife knows the recipe, she grew up with Lindsay lol
Serious?! (For those who don't know, Lynsi is the president of In-N-Out, and the granddaughter of the founders). Alright you have to tell me....am I even relatively close?? 🤣
Yeah sure
So it’s Thousand Island dressing
100%
Really though?
So no mustard huh ? :/
So there are pickles on an In N Out burger. It’s in the sauce.
Why you only have 958 subscribers...?
993 now, let's gooooooooo
Missing ingredient is probably MSG
Jokes Aside... There Is Clearly "Clove" and or "Cinnamon" Flavor in the real sauce.

Associate, not employee.
Salsa is what you should put on eggs in the morning. No need to add sauce to grilled cheese, because you'll be dunking it into a bowl of tomato soup
Holly Water is the Secret Ingredient, From Tomatoes Grown by Cristian Saints.
Enough sugar in ketchup & relish
Bourdain is wrong again…..Culver’s is much better than in & out
NOPE
That's definitely doesn't look like 1 and a half cups worth of mayonnaise. Maybe half a cup you are using there
Broooo
Don’t get it, ketchup, and sweet relish are loaded with sugar, and dill relish might have some, so how does their nutritional information say there’s no sugar, but your definitely using a detectable amounts of sugar, lol
bor you're forgetting the worsteshore sauce

It's a ripp off of Ed's Sauce and Big Mac Sauce!
So basically Ed's sauce or Big Mac sauce minus the mustard?
And minus paprika, onion & garlic powder.
all those things already have vinegar in them brainwave - and use one type of relish and just add some sugar - dope
