    I explain how to stop cold at its first sign.
    Timestamps:
    0:00 How to stop a cold in its tracks
    1:50 Do intermittent fasting; you don’t need to nourish your body when you’re sick
    I explain how to stop cold at its first sign. As well, whether you have a viral infection or a bacterial infection, there are several things you can do to minimize it and maybe even prevent it.
    First, take zinc and vitamin C together, but eat foods high in vitamin C as opposed to a supplement. I recommend eating lemons, as opposed to pasteurized lemon juice.
    You can also drink apple cider vinegar because when you acidify your body with it, you speed up the action of white blood cells called phagocytes. They clean up bacteria as part of your immune system.
    Eat garlic. It’s the most powerful anti-viral food I know. It’s also anti-bacterial.
    Make sure you do these things right when you get the first symptom of a cold.
    As well, do intermittent fasting so your body can go into repair mode, and increase its resistance to stress. Intermittent fasting also causes important changes at the cellular level, which will help stop a cold.
    There’s usually a stress event connected with a cold, so take steps to reduce your stress. And of course, no sugar, alcohol, or milk products because they feed the bacteria and can keep the infection there much longer.
    When people are exposed to a virus or bacteria, some people will get it and some won’t depend on their susceptibility. If your immune system is strong; if you’re in good shape; and, if you have a health reserve, chances are you won’t come down with an infection. But if you feel run down, and you’re going to do something like getting on a plane with many other people, take zinc, vitamin C, garlic, and even apple cider vinegar before you get on the plane. And, do intermittent fasting. This will all help you build up your resistance.
    One last thing: get enough good quality sleep. This will also help build your resistance.

    The ACV has been unbelievably helpful to my body - 2 teaspoons 3x a day on empty stomach in a glass of water and increase slightly if needed - absolutely destroyed my cold...thanks Dr. Berg - this one thing I learned from you has helped tremendously and I continue to learn.

    I've taken a 2000 mg odorless garlic supplement everyday for almost 7 years and have not had a cold or the flu during that time. I swear by it. Doesn't matter which brand. My husband isn't as good at remembering to take his daily, and when he skips a few days and starts to get that little tickle, I have him immediately take one of the garlic supplements and 25 mg of zinc (always take zinc with food to prevent nausea), and most times he'll skip getting a cold altogether. But you have to do that right at the start of feeling like you're getting a cold.

    I have noticed that fasting helps tremendously

    • @palestinevideos2025
      @palestinevideos2025 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Fasting helps against some infections and eating helps against others. For some infections fasting could cause you to die whilst if you'd eaten you'd have survived. Fasting seems essential for bacterial stomach infections like food poisoning. Whilst eating seems to help against some viral infections, such as the common cold. Fasting will make the cold last longer or make it more likely to have complications.

      @@texanboiii562 because the research wasn't a questionnaire. For example in one study they infected rats either with a virus or with bacteria. Half the virus infected rats were given no food and half were force fed glucose. Half the bacterial infected rats were given no food and half were force fed glucose. Most of the virus infected rats which had no food died whilst most which were force fed glucose survived. Conversely most of the bacterial infected rats which were given no food survived and most which were force fed died. In another study in humans they looked at the effect of fasting vs eating on stimulation of the immune system and production of immune cells, the research showed that the immune system is stimulated in a way in which it's better able to fight viruses whilst eating, and it's stimulated in a way in which it's better able to fight bacteria whilst fasting.
      This is research freely available you can easily find it yourself and educate yourself on the topic. I did after searching and reading for a while as I like to be educated.

    Just in time! We were just around a lot of sick people. It just hit my 4 year old daughter (and I have a 2 month old baby in the house). We were already doing almost all of these remedies because we knew we would be exposed. Just learned about the zinc a few days ago. Hopefully we we're getting enough through the diet, but we'll definitely be upping it now! Very helpful information! Thank you! :)

    I have not been sick for 7 years since I started watching you! But the other day I got the flu! I started immediately doing all these things you suggested. Thanks! Although I take acv and lemon everyday anyway. And I put 2 tablespoons of acv and a whole lemon with peeling and I still got a cold! Not sure what happened? I never eat sweets.

    Son got the flu Friday, I had started my weekend fast already. Got to Sunday he woke up without fever. I was feeling fine. Ended 45 hour fast with lemon water while making meal, sat down to eat and hurt everywhere, 😂 Didn’t want to start fasting again so soon, but will probably eat again in a couple hours then go to bed until tomorrow.

    Hi Dr. Berg. One thing no one ever mentions is the automatic lack of interest in food when one gets sick. I noticed from my self that every time I do get sick(and it’s rare) I want nothing to do with food yet people who mean well are alway forcing you to eat( “you got to eat to get stronger”) What I understand is the fact that your body instinctively is forcing you to “intermittent fast” in order to concentrate on fighting off whatever it is that’s attacking. It wasn’t until we got the “co vid” that we were told that some of the symptoms are “loosing sense of taste and smell” everyone focused on that when in reality that happens with most sicknesses. It’s just it was never pointed out so we all think it’s “just part of co vid only”. After he ing the flu once and going to the doctor one should be knowledgeable enough for next time to be able to just stay home, sleep as much as your body wants, drink as much as your body wants, never take anything to suppress temperature and just let your body do what it needs to detox and no drugs. It will take some time and it varies depending on how much crap you have inside. No need to go to the doctor... except of course visit Dr. Berg on line for tips 😁

    For me I find taking paracetamol immediately usually nullifies it and certainly makes any cold type symptoms last maximum one day. If feeling a bit heavy, I will simply hibernate for 12 hours and sweat it out. Pretty much doing 1-5 on this every week anyway, so can’t recall last time I got a proper cold. 👍🏻

    Juiced a few oranges, added the juice to blender. A little cherry juice, almond milk, 4 raw eggs, spinach, cinnamon. Feel great since doing so. Also had ginger tea with honey and lemon and purple raw garlic with peanut butter periodically throughout the day.
    Also had some sardines and a few Brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds. I imagine all of this helped expect maybe the almond milk and peanut butter. Peanut butter was just to mask the taste of raw garlic.

    Another great video by Dr Berg. There has been numerous talks the last few years concerning human blood types. Some researchers claim that blood types define your dietary habits and nutritional requirements. Are these claims true.? How can we take our blood type into consideration when deciding on our diet of choice?

      Hydrogen peroxide H2O2 kills germs, and after it loses the oxygen on the bacteria, the remainder becomes water H2O. You can see for yourself if you have a sinus issue start on say you right side, the hydrogen peroxide will bubble much more in that right ear. I use the spray, it's easier, and just fill up your ear canal. Itll take more than 3 drops to get way in there. Let it bubble for maybe 3 minutes. You will hear when it subsides like when popcorn is done in the microwave. I've never gotten a good explanation why it works, but it does a great job. Doesnt hurt at all, just cold at first. Obviously dont use if you have an open wound, it would be painful.

    This may be off topic but decided to ask anyway. Here are a couple questions that I'm certain, many other people would like to know the answer to. I take supplements B1, B12, omega3, tumeric, berberine, magnesium, potassium, B complex, D3, K, zinc, coq10, grape seed extract, apple cider vinegar, probiotic, cayenne, garlic oil and a Multi Vitamin. If I went to look at the bottles, there are probably some that I forgot to mention. #1- Does taking all of these suppliments together, cause a ineffectiveness of some of them? It seems that if they hit the system close together, they would turn into a concoction of who knows what. With the cost of supplements, I'm hardly able to afford my one meal a day. #2- Will the Multi Vitamin be good enough to not need to take most of these suppliments? I've always questioned the effectiveness of multi vitamins. Mostly due to finding it hard to believe that there is enough of the different vitamins in them to be in one pill.

    • @gyrospinup
      @gyrospinup 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paolac.1678 I don't think that I will ever get a good answer to the question. I just take the water soluble vitamins with water and the fat soluble vitamins with my MCT coffee and hope for the best. I have thought about buying a expensive multivitamin made with whole ingredients rather than synthetic to bypass most of them. But, I still can't see how it's possible to get enough of all the vitamins in one pill, even if they are somehow highly concentrated. Seems like a huge gimmick. I went ahead and counted them all and have 20 suppliments, so I almost thought of them all. I may need to start eating once every three months due to not being able to afford food. I forgot about MCT and virgin coconut oil. That's not too cheap either. Then there is the price of pink sea salt and "No Salt" for electrolytes.

      @@gyrospinup Food-based supplements are superior in their ability to work synergistcally. You have likely answered your own question. Indeed more expensive, but better assimilated with a few exceptions. Dr. Berg also speaks about this. I see that your post is almost a year old. Wishing you the best of health.

    I swab my nostrils with sesame oil (I use Spectrum brand) at the first tingle in the nose or other sign of cold/flu coming on. The oil doesn't allow bacteria or virus to grow. I also drink a tablespoonful and swab my ears with it. All symptoms are gone by morning. As Dr. Berg says, stopping it at the very beginning is key!

    I am going through some kind of adult EBV infection... and man it is kicking my butt. It all started... as Dr. Berg always points out... at a time of extreme stress. It really sucks so bad and the problem with EBV is it can last a looooooooooooooooooong time. Not sure what to do. I have to work. Thank GOD I get a week off next week. I will try to sleep and rest and pray and not let myself go crazy from the anxiety of dealing with this. The sad part is that the constant symptoms just end up giving me more anxiety than I really should be having. God help all of us. AMEN!

    Here is a quick disclaimer for those who never read the description box: If you struggle with low blood pressure, aka hypotension, garlic and even lemons in any form will have an immediate and significant effect on your blood pressure. So, be careful if your blood pressure is already low. You can lower your blood pressure naturally via certain food, herbs, and even exercise.
