I have attempted to follow your set-up. Please keep in mind that your purpose is to bring people back into the sport, or to introduce them for the first time. You clearly are a master at programing. For those of us attempting to reintroduce ourself to the hobby... you simply go too fast and without appropriate explanation of "how". If you already know it... it is easy. If not, it may be Greek. Slow down on the transmitter set up and show us how... please. You add valuable content and I really appreciate it!
I understand what you're say with crystal clarity. We DO go pretty fast on some of these more "advanced" planes, namely because this would be a pretty bad option for a brand new or just returning back to the sport pilot. Please don't take any offense to my assumption, but we do have to try and strike a balance between an extremely long video and a slightly shorter, but still longer than anyone else in the history of the internet video...
We DO spend a lot more time on the setup with "beginner" style planes, and that might be helpful for you, as it sounds like you're RETURNING to the hobby.
This might not be enough to satisfy your needs, but you can slow down the video playback by clicking on the GEAR icon, then choosing "Playback Speed" and selecting up to 0.25X (or 1/4 speed) if this is helpful. Again, we do understand what you're after, but we necessarily have to try to go the speed that makes best sense for a plane's difficulty level. We hope you'll forgive us, but we honestly can't make 100% of everyone happy with this particular ask. We have people who will ask the exact opposite thing, so we kinda gotta do out best.
If you want to setup a simpler model, and get more detailed and slower explanation, please check out any of a number of our beginner planes. I will drone on and on forever, and try to explain EVERYTHING in painful detail ;)

It was fun, but in this wind, it was HARDER than I wanted it to be. Too bad we didn't get this plane say, in the middle of the summer ;)
To bad you don't live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama we have amazing flying weather in the winter no wind and the days where it's 60 and sunny and sunny enough where it's warm and you can wear shorts and t shirt and fly in beautiful weather for hours and never get hot lol. And of course he made this plane look fun cause flying RC planes is fun

With the 4000, I added 2oz of weight just in front of the battery for CG.
Brian, your vids are great and you have the best camera crew in the hobby but please correct one term: "air brakes" can be found on big trucks, The moveable panels on either side of the aft fuselage are "speed brakes". Make an old Scooter driver happy...thanks
After 30 years... getting back into hobby. You two are great inspirations. I am going to order 2 planes... the Ranger RTF to get the cobwebs off, and the 80mm Sabre for the next plane. Can you explain DR/Expo? Not sure what they mean. What does master gain adjustment do? I assume AS3X is the function that stabilizes the plane in flight, and SAFE is what you activate to SAVE the plane as it takes it to level flight??? On your links... there are so many options. Which specific NX10 should I order (many options)? BTW... I assume if I order via your links- somehow you get credit I hope? Tried to order the airplane stand, but it is on backorder with everyone. And lastly, I need to order batteries and charger for the F86. What specific batteries do you recommend?

Did someone spill coffee in the canopy and it dried whilst they were sticking the canopy cover on ? Cannot see why you would have a perfect finish on outside and weather inside ? I suspect the 4000mah battery and rearward cg will help with slower landings. Lets hope for a calmer day for the next flight.
Is reverse thrust available? I fly at a short field.
Not to be rude or mean but don’t glue your receiver to shelf liner to then glue to the fuse you might as well just glue it straight to the foam . If u want it to be removable use Velcro . But use white silicone latex tub and tile caulk it’s the same thing horizon hobby uses to adhere receivers servos a the firewalls to there planes ……. It never hardens and absorbs vibrations 😉
I think you deploy air brakes after all the wheels are on the runway?

Hi Brian. Hey, I have been studying this build set up. I really want this plane. I'm sorry for being obtuse, but I am still lost on how to connect the flaps and speed brakes, and how their functions are set up and separated when using a six channel (AR631 in my case) receiver. I have an NX10SE, and I do know how to set up switches, channels etc. I want the speed brakes on a different switch (AUX channel?) from the flaps. I always use B switch for flaps on all my planes. I would most likely use a switch on the right side of the transmitter for the speed brakes. Please, please help if you can - it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Dale.
If you only have 6 channels (six "pluggable: channels - like with the AR631, as you're using), you can't do all the functions AND separate out the BREAKS. They need to be landed on the "Y" cable, and without some FANCY and lucky mechanical adjustments to linkages, you'll be stuck making your takeoff flaps BARELY deployed, and your LANDING FLAPS WAAAAAAY down to get the breaks out.
I'm not sure if you saw this part of the video yet, but we dedicated a pretty good chunk of the Unbox, Build, Radio Setup to handling this dilemma, and the way we handled it was to use an AR8360T.
