    Hi Brain was made up when you said your going to the NX10 not the ix14 I got the NX6 when you had one and you got me back in the hobby watching your channel. I’m ready to change my TX so will be getting the NX10 so I can follow along with all your tips thank you for all your time you spend making your videos to the both of you

    Thanks for the detailed vid. I am getting this plane for a new daily driver since I put my previous daily driver in a tree due to a depth perception problem. Great looking nails, Camera Crew.

    Love your long form video's! I learn so much from this format. Used your Viper 90 video to set up mine complete with thrust reversing yesterday and hope to maiden tomorrow. After a hopefully successful maiden, I'll hunt down the pilot fatigue and set that up. Keep doing what you guys do, your an excellent resource for us!
    PS- Used your master Horizon link to purchase a NX8...hope it worked!

    I know you have quite a few warbirds. So, I'd really like to see the Motion B2 Spirit box displayed on the stove soon. The ads make it look pretty cool. Which is really hard to do, because I've always thought the stealth series was butt ugly. Lol.

    Thanks for your time doing the video. I bought one because of your review, even though watching you tightening the screws made me cringe. Built mine today and those screws are awful, I could get any 3 screws on the wing but the fourth didn't want to play. I seriously hope I can get it in my car because I would not like to have to remove/fit the wing at the field. My manual had little I common with plane, mentions gluing the wings and how to install the horns . My tail plane was a sod to fix. Screws are far to thin, the manual stated lengths of screw that didn't exist in the kit, and the rudder control rod had to be cut to make I fit, I'm aware the elevator rod is a different length. Very nose heavy with battery as far rearward. Plane looks fantastic, fingers crossed for maiden tomorrow. My first FMS and not too impressed with the build, if it fly well I'll be happy

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!!! Those screws can be WORSE than usual on your install the wing the first time. I suspect, with subsequent re-attachments it may get easier.
      Either way, GREAT PLANE!!!!! Enjoy

    Thanks for this Brian. It encouraged the purchase of another plane I promised myself that I didn't need! I went for the origal white and red one. Was a bit of a pain with all them wires and I did bin the reflex for the AR637T. My rudder was a pain as it chewed the thread on the rear hole. So I epoxied it all in to be sure. Changed to an Avain 100A as I'll be on 6s all the time. Liking the 1.4m class. Bit more presence in the air compared to my 1.2m and isnt too difficultto transport or store. Just wish my Nanchang, Pilatus and corsair were 1.4m too

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      NICE - so now you can get Thrust Reverse (the EASY way) and don't have to do the goofy Flap / Channel sharing stuff I did!!!
      1.4m is a GREAT size class for sure. I love everything about this plane, BUT I've learned that I have a real hard time holding and picking it up, due to the inner main gear doors being right where I want to hold on - LOL - if that's the worst of it, we have a winner!!!

    • @M4rkmcc21
      @M4rkmcc21 ปีที่แล้ว

      @BrianPhillipsRC I also manged to keep my pilot after carving, but I'm balancing on a smart 4000 6s not a 5000 6s. Hoping you review the FMS corsair 1.4m soon with maybe the same motor as the P47 and T28.

    I always like to set my controls up with the standard settings, like I use switch D for flaps, Switch F for ailerons, C for elevator, and G for rudder, and H for throttle cut, A for landing gear. I know a lot of people use one switch for all the controls and that is OK, I just like to modify trim in the air. But do Like your demos.

      Everyone should do what helps them fly best. Absolutely nothing wrong with this, but whatever you do, do it consistently for maximum success, in my experience.

    @markdeeter6641 ปีที่แล้ว

    Brian, I want to thank you for your hard work in posting all of your reviews and tips. I'm new again to the hobby. I built and STARTED to fly traditional wooden kits back when I was in my 20's (Goldberg Tiger 2 and Hobbico Superstar 40 trainer). Life, marriage , children and career happened so I had to hang everything up. So now that I have time again, I thought I'd just pick up the hobby where I left off...WRONG! EVERYTHING is different. It's gone foam and electric. I wasn't even sure if I'd even enjoy this new hobby anymore as a LOT of the hobby involved building. Flying was really the consummation of a love affair with the project that had been on the building board for months. Naturally, a crash hurt a LOT more as it didn't involve just a loss of money (My Tiger2 was my 2nd plane and I was still scared about visibility so I covered it in Hot Pink with a Neon Green bottom thinking I'd NEVER lose it in the sky. The only Pilot that made sense was a beautiful blonde Barbie doll. I received some fun jokes at the flying field for my "Barbie" plane. I took the next step and contacted Mattel with pictues of my plane and they actually sent me large Barbie Logo stickers so put them on the side and tail. My Barbie plane was now "Official"). I was afraid to fly it. Today....It's different. I wasn't even sure that I wanted to be part of this pre-fabbed foam/ electric hobby. I started watching TH-cams to get a sense of what was out there. I randomly came across your posts and well, you were personable. You spoke directly to someone like me who is lost in the hobby. Maybe even wondering if its worth investing time, energy and money into. You've convinced me that it IS worth it. The planes may be "pre-fabbed" but they are so much more sophisticated and include so much more cool tech (lights, retracts, standard flaps) and they just look more realistic. You've shown me that flying is easy and I've used your site to then learn more about the new equipment, how it all works (no more glow engines. I am completely new to the electronics). Further, I've watched what kind of batteries, radios, chargers, glues you use. I've gone with an NX 10SE instead of the NX 8 (more is usually better). In short, THANK YOU for your help and convincing me that the hobby is worth pursuing. I've grabbed the Apprentice STS 1.5 to get my fingers back on the sticks and I found an Avistar Elite for a 2nd plane because it feels familiar. I don't know if I'm going to use electric on it or go gas (seems like glo is going away and the fuel getting more difficult to find and more expensive). After that, who knows....I'm watching your TH-cams and I want to eventually fly Just. Like. That. Thank you.

    Great job explaining the build as always (and more!) My question is, do I have to purchase Reflex, or can I just use an AR6xx to provide AS3X & SAFE?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you follow the link, you can choose between PNP and PNP with Relfex, then you can just get the appropriate Rx to give you AS3X and SAFE, or to let the plane handle that stuff with the Reflex, if it came so equipped.

    Totally agree with you Brian on the cockpit details on the p47 fabulous however the pilots face is pink like he has one heck of a head rush going on , I don't know why the Chinese people can't get Americans skin tone right just saying.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC

      LOL - I agree, but to be honest, I don't know why all the pilots look goofy. If we can make 3D scans of every Marvel characters and then make PERFECT 1/12 scale figurines (Which would have been AMAZING as a kid!!!!!!) why can't we get a pilot bust that's near perfection, light, and cheap to make? I've often times wondered this, but don't want to be a "Debby Downer". I've also noticed this for years. Even with the BETTER looking ones, like in the Eflite Warbird Pilots, for example. Do you remember the "Anti-Pinocchio" (super short nose) from the Cirrus SR22T 1.2m (V1 Blue and Silver). Case in point ;)
      I also don't know why the eyes always seem "bug-eyed" like Chunk from the goonies - LOL!
