I think this is one of the best recordings of this movement I've heard. While it is slower than a typical allegretto tempo, the pace reflects a pathos unreachable at a faster tempo.

This starts more lento than allegretto but the performance is beautiful and very delicate. I like the string accents. Best performance I know of.

Why allegretto? It’s sounds rather slow for that
