In a Sea of bad decisions, having Sauron be the one to introduce the Elven hairstyle of the 3rd Age is #1. 😂😂😂😂 We have precedent for how this would have played out. In WW2 one World leader tried to make a certain style of facial hair “happen” and to this day, no one wears that style.

Serious, the writers/directors really struggle with representing scale, which is critically important for that type of show. These weakness apparently were not addressed at all for S2, and they kept the same director. So I am not optimistic about S3, even with the change of team.

"Adar" is the Sindarin word for "father" (Bombadil was known as Iarwain ben-Adar, Eldest and Fatherless). We are given to understand that he is one of the first-generation Orcs, personally corrupted by Morgoth. This was at a time before Sindarin and Quenya diverged from the original Eldarin proto-language, but never mind _that_ now. Anyway, it makes sense that he would be called 'Adar' by the other Orcs-or, as much as anything makes sense in this show.

A great finale (your synopsis not the episode itself). Your’s was very funny, especially the fill-in-the-blanks conversation between Galadriel and the orc - please do more of that! What is with the religious buildings with idols of the Valar? Numenor only had one temple, devoted to Eru Illuvatar alone, until Sauron rose from prisoner to chief advisor of Pharazaon and convinced him to start sacrificing humans in shrines to Melkor.

A great finale (your synopsis not the episode itself). Your’s was very funny, especially the fill-in-the-blanks conversation between Galadriel and the orc - please do more of that! It might help to make more sense of the whole thing. Anyhow, off to watch the extended versions of the Peter Jackson movies now - only way to cleanse the mind after another season of RoP
