I do MOST of the maintenance on my cars myself but, if you lived near me, I would never hesitate to bring my cars to you. Thoughtfulness and genuine kindness is so rare these days, it's like a super power... you have that super power ❤
This TH-cam video is the best thing ever. Turns out my injector connecter was not correctly connect and I was getting a random misfire. A shop said I needed new cats which was out of my budget.
Hey, J, you're the greatest, tons of savvy, tons of morals! Your voice also is pure compassion. Would bet that you have a million friends that you wouldn't trade for a million dollars. I personally am an old time mechanic, being doused in the added on electronics of these days, even back then, l found many fixes in places where others failed to look. Keep up the good works, the future belongs to people like you. I love "junk yards" lots of good stuff out there, but watch out for junk yard dogs! Thanks for the great video! 🌈
Just for future reference Tim from Donor auto just did a 02 Chevy van with misfires and it ended up being the fuel filler hose rotted out and the fuel got spoiled and the entire fuel system needed to be flushed. Enjoyed the video.
I bought an 89 Si which was running like crap. The guy told me he changed the injectors and it just needed a "tune on the ECU". Turns out he spliced in obd2 injectors and left he resistor box lol. After removal of the box she ran like a dream. So yeah, people are always quick to assume the problem is a lot more complicated than it actually is
Fixed my issue 50 miles and 2 hours on the engine no check engine light yet. I was watching live diagnostic data and I still see the misfire counter counting but it's not on any cylinder. It is running so much smoother though. Will let you know if the light comes back on.
Nice common sense video bro....very good info for people who never think to look at a wiring issue. I had the same problem, but on a duramax deisel....same concept. Thx for vid man.
Nice honest fix. Shady shops out there that just tell customers anything to make a buck instead of fixing the problem. This customer should review that shop on Google to warn other people!! He or she needs to bring the vehicle to you in the future.
@@themechanic6117 The customers that tell you that and do not follow through, eventually they will get screwed and then they will want you to rescue them. That is when you tell them, "Sorry, you will have to take it to another mechanic".
I think it’s funny how you sent him to another shop when you were more knowledgeable. Don’t doubt yourself dude. I would put you to work in my shop today.
Another awesome video. Its sad how many shops will just shotgun diagnose cars. It really sucks because then they give guys like us a bad rap and makes it hard for us to fix customers cars the right way.
How do you know which wire goes to which? I’m ordering the “ACDelco GM Original Equipment PT2135 Black Multi-Purpose Pigtail” For my 2004 GMC SAVANA 3500 6.0L and both of the wires in the Acdelco pigtail are white. How would I know which wires to attach them to?
Had a misfire on my truck, progressed to no idle, replaced coils plugs and wires, then replaced all 8 injectors, now its doing the same, hopefully this is all it needs
I have a fault code on my mazda 2... AKA ford fusion 1.4 tdci... P0200-70. Fuel injector circuit malfunction. Would this mean they need taking out and giving a clean??
Its the launch diagun 4 and i love it. It works great. Battery life is pretty bad though. Yes it has bi directional controls . i dont plan on doing a review on the scanner
I have randomly p0201-2-3-4-5,sometimes for a week no code...no pattern...near on the injectors connector the isolation of wires on some points was bad and i tape it to isolate but the same issue...
plugs first, rail cleaning and check injector harness, then injectors. The pins on the connectors will have a bad ground usually.
J I don't think u realize how good your all around mechanic skills are dude! From diagnosing to doing work like its your vehicle. You're nice bro!
I totally agree.
Thank you! Means alot to me. I'm trying to do whats right and be proud of my work.👍💪

OUTSTANDING VIDEO AND EVALUATION....YOU HELPED ME
You're welcome
Spend the time to find a good tech is by far the lowest cost solution to any auto repair. Nice one Johnathan.
I agree. Its sad that some shops rip people off and people still return to that place.
thank you for taking the time sir to illuminate our minds 🙏A1 you're a master of your craft and 100%
Thank you for the comment
You are a genius.. It turns out that the wire is disconnected in the place you indicated.. Thank you very much

Had a similar situation on my last video. It was the crank sensor wiring harness. Good find,/!
I find it rewarding to find broken wires! 😝😀
Standby, I have codes for both ☝️
Great fix, no point being a part swapper, Diagnose the actual fault and then fix the issue.
I agree 💪
Thanks for the video.... noticed this on my Toyota Hilux kun25: P0093 P0200 P0113

What scanner is that ? I need one for live data like that of the engine ? I have a ancel ad310 but it doesn’t show that
It's the launch diagun 4 (I believe I paid around $700 for it)
Good information

There's plenty of shops where the guys know their stuff... In my area it seems like just a bunch of parts changers
I need your expertise brother. Where are you located?

If you're looking at the connector there will be a left and right wire, wire it up like that...
That was a great save, no parts needed.
I have a 2011 suburban that has the same issue, but how do you remove the connector?
Had a misfire on my truck, progressed to no idle, replaced coils plugs and wires, then replaced all 8 injectors, now its doing the same, hopefully this is all it needs

No. Its the launch diagun 4. I know it looks like a phone
There’s your problem lady ! 😂😂
Thanks for the video. That oil gauge looks like mine... pegged at 60. Any recommendations?
Usually its a bad oil pressure sensor. Could also be a issue with the cluster
Thanks. Hopes it's the sensor. I really don't want to take the cluster apart!
what scanner tool u use
Launch diagun 4
Great video man. What scanner is that on your phone?
It's not on my phone. It's a real scanner that costs about $700 . It's the launch diagun 4

Can a problem to one injector wire caused a fault codes for all the injectors?
I'm not sure on that. I think each injector has there own circuit. Maybe something like a bad common ground could cause that
I have randomly p0201-2-3-4-5,sometimes for a week no code...no pattern...near on the injectors connector the isolation of wires on some points was bad and i tape it to isolate but the same issue...

Its obviously a fuel rail issue
It's obviously not because I fixed this car. I've never seen a car with a fuel rail issue, can you explain that to me?
No sir
