  • Welcome back! This video features a modification to the PBR10E rear transom. Previously, when I ran the outboard motor the transom would flex, a lot. This modification solved the issue and now gives more mounting options for accessories! Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe!

    Good Job,, A Thought For This , IF, You Were doing this build and Went ahead with a small compartment say a battery box or dry storage it would take all the flex out when the box was decked , a place to mount lights ,or whatever as well , I'm on a build Mission now , I do fish in the river here so the trolling motor needs some help when I'm moving from one location to another, I'm looking at all ideas before I start this project, this has definite possibility ,I know for sure the outboard is a must for me , I Catfish alot , our water systems are free flowing no locks or dams , always a current to be found in them Depends On the water levels and that's all mother nature controlled , anyway ,Good Video gave me a idea or two

  • @darrencrofford7367
    @darrencrofford7367 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just curious when you go fishing, do you travel with your motor on the boat, or do you take it off? Also, if you travel with it on the boat do you use a extension transom saver, or do you strap it down with the motor completely down or in a tilted position?

    • @maxcastfishing4357
      @maxcastfishing4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Darren Crofford this is a very good question. I do not keep the motor on the boat when traveling on the road. This setup tends to bounce pretty easy with road bumps and I think the added weight would damage these plastic boat transoms. With the new transom reinforcement, I have considered leaving the motor on with short trips where I know I won’t go faster than 55mph and the road bumps are minimal, but I’m still just not sure I will. I was working on a transoms saver/motor-toter but haven’t finished it. I too was wondering what would be best; having the shaft straight down or angled. I think it would be better to have the motor tilted up some to place some of the weight over the top of the transom. For now, I think I’ll just take it on and off. I have transported the motor in the floorboard of the boat (centered over the trailer axles) with it strapped down for a 2 hour road trip and it road nice. All the best!
