Great Mods , I am going to follow your lead with those mods ! I have already started my plans as I am moving in 4 months and will be very close to some nice lakes and a number of ponds !

I have a pelican bass raider 10e myself...great little boat durable strong dependable I fish up at camp on a small pond in NH .....can get crowded with 2 people but perfect for one person......your video was awesome loved it....makes me want to do that to my boat

ZeroZeroOne if you end up getting a PBR 10E you won’t be disappointed, it’s an awesome boat! It really doesn’t even need all the mods, but I enjoy them. Word of caution, if you decided to deck it out plan on getting a trailer!

That treated wood is a perk, you wont have the weeds sticking to if if you go to a place that has a bunch of weeds and what not right at the boat ramp.

I had one of these boats and fished the back country of Cockroach Bay Florida back in the 90's. Mine wasn't decked out like yours but I caught more fish in that little thing than any other boat I have had since. Light tackle no seats and the biggest deep cycle battery I could buy along with a big trolling motor. I didn't use an outboard and fished non stop because of it.
I had guys yelling at me from the bank one time (Big Bend hot water out flow) saying my lil boat made theirs look like a yacht, every time my rod bent I yelled back saying their yacht wasn't doing them any good at home.
Reason I'm looking at your video (my wife & I were just looking at one in a Rural King) your boat set up nicely! Good job.

The motor acts like a skeg, plus helps with balance/weight distribution when you're up on the front of the boat. Nice.

I just purchased the same boat at academy sports. Just titled it but haven't had a chance to put it in the water yet. I dug my 30 something year old 3.0 HP Sears Gamefisher air cooled, two cycle boat motor out of the shed, cleaned the carb out, even though it didn't need it. Changed the spark plug even though the old one still looked fine, put some mixed gas in er and it fired up on the second pull and runs great. So the Old Sears Gamefisher will be my new Bass Raiders main motor, and the newly purchased Newport 62 lb thrust electric motor will be my backup motor. I'm thinking that some Lake fishing is in my immediate future. BTW, I'm retiring in May.

@@maxcastfishing4357 Thank you. Yeah, I'm looking forward to no more daily schedules. I bought that GameFisher back in the early 1990's at a yard sale for $50.00. It's a simple motor to work on and it's never left me stranded. Your boat mods look fantastic. Very well done. Take care.

I have DEFINETLY decided the Bass Raider 10e is a Great 1 man boat, Sorry not 2. Too much drag on 3.5 hp motor. I like everything on your casting deck. OOOOOOH MAN I LOVE THE TOTE UNDER THE DECK! BRILLIANT!

Nice neat organized set up.
Only thing that would prevent me from doing something similar is in the past I have done a jon boat very similar and hated dealing with the added weight on the front when loading the boat.
I have been considering a boat along the lines of this and for my use would be more apt to not add any additional weight besides motors, trolling battery and depth finder.
But very nice work!

Love my 10E. I put a bow mounted Terrova on the front to have spotlock. Now I need one of those 2.5 outboards!

Just curious how you installed a bow mounted trolling motor? Ive been looking for a bracket or any advice on doing that.
@@ernienester I used a 6 inch by 2 inch cedar plank and used it to make a platform secured with L brackets and screws. Then I mounted a quick release mounting plate on that.

Big John's Life kayaks are nice, but after about two hours of fishing my lower back would start to hurt. I like the freedom of being able to stand up and move around with the PBR 10E.
Very nice modifications and still left plenty of room for someone in the back (not that you'd want anyone in the back...haha).

I have fished lake Woodlands and Conroe and never thought to get one of these small boats.
Luckydantheman 7 I mostly fish ponds with this setup, but it does really well up in coves on lakes like Lake Conroe; especially where it gets really shallow. This boat can get in very skinny water!!! Hit me up when you get your boat and we’ll meet up for a friendly tournament!
