I got a brand new 2021 Stumpjumper this summer. About half way throught the season, my shifter began to be hard to push with my thumb. It feels hard only with the trigger for smallest to biggest cogs. The trigger for biggest to smallest cogs feels great. Any ideas on what is wrong? Note that the installation of the shifter and derailler was done in a pro shop. Thanks !
Thanks for the explanation. I’ve recently purchased a used road bike with Shimano STI shifters (105 groupset). The Shifters are sticky and I was told that the bike was seldom ridden on and this video seems like it could be the answer as I’ve already replaced the cassette, chain, and new internal cables. During your video I noticed that you simply spray the Tri flow into the shifters. Would you advise spraying it with degreaser first and then spraying in new lube?
Finish line is hit or miss in my book. I honestly LOVE their dry lube for just my chain but prefer something a little “wetter” for the ol cables. Their degreasers are meh.

Yup, this works for me, except I drop my dry chain lube down the housing. My LBS told me that Finish Line sucks, can you confirm or deny?
