Thanks mate. Your rear derailleur video helped me tune. Prior to it i watched the Parktool one but it overcomplicated something which you explained very simply and with good camera angles too.
Excellent video! Helped me resolve the front derailleur chain rub on a second hand bike (with a Shimano 105 groupset). The combination of the camera angles and clear explanation made it clear and simple to follow.
u know what....i really needed this video lol perfect timing..got a new mtb with 27 gears and the barrel adjuster got messed up by my friend .....bro is now in heaven😂
Sounds like fate intervened at the right time! 😄 Sometimes, those 'oops' moments lead to perfect timing. Enjoy your new MTB adventures-may they be smooth and barrel-adjuster mishap-free! Happy riding! 🚵♂✨
If its your first time just take it to your local bike shop or the one you bought it from. They'll adjust it well and maybe even teach you how to do it in the future for your bike.
I'm selling my bike, so this's perfect to get things smoothly handed-over. 😂 😊 If it's a little rough, I won't be satisfied. 😂 So, thank you for your guidance!
This is the most helpful instruction on the topic I found on You Tube. Maybe reduce the number of spoken “go ahead” statements. (American speak). Many thanks.
Thank you for the feedback! We're thrilled you found the instructions helpful. We'll definitely work on refining the instructions to ensure a smoother experience for everyone. Your support means a lot!
Thanks for the video. Clear explanations together with great angles. Unfortuanately I wasn't sucessful. After adjusting the Lower limit and reatachin the cable, the shifting doesn't go up to the big cog. I put as much tension as I humanly could, in the cable and even with the tension adjuster to the max it wouldn't go to the big cog. The only way I managed it was also messing with the H limit, but then when I'm on the big cog I have rubbing in the High limit. Any suggestions?
Tried this today on my first road bike to fix the chain rubbing. Must have done something wrong, couldn’t find a position of the L screw where it didn’t rub and then when I tried to put things back together I couldn’t switch to large gear in front anymore. Will have to take her to the shop. Seems a bit weird to me to change the H screw so late in the process given that it seems to have so much impact (with it I could actually prevent the rubbing).
I am going to replace my cables with new ones when my derailleur arrives, do I need a front in line barrel adjuster or can I do away with it as it has the tension screw on the derailleur
Hey man, I have copied each step nicely and everything works but come across a problem, namely when pedaling the crankset around it repeatedly hits the cage of the front derailleur. So the derailleur protrudes too much, if I turn it backwards with the high limit screw then the problem is solved but the chain no longer jumps on the outer ring. Plz help 😅
I'm on the verge of tears I've been working on this godforsaken bike all day and every time i try again from the beginning it screws something else up but I can't afford to get it tuned at the shop
Anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem: I set my low limit, clamp the cable back in the front derailleur, then use the tension screw until I get a good shift up to the big ring. All good, no rub. But then I go to align the top trim, and once I match the white lines using the tension screw, now I've got rub again.
I've watched close to 50 videos on this and follow step by step but it never works right. I have 3 chainrings and I can get it to go from smallest to middle. But when I click back down nothing happens. Or what will happen is I will go small, middle large and when I click back down it totally skips the middle.
Triples are the hardest to get right. Derailleur height is key, but this sounds like it could be a cable tension issue to me. Keep at it, you’ll get it dialed in.
I cannot get the front and rear derailers to shift through all of the gears. What the fuck am I doing wrong? Does it have to do with cable tension? I really feel like I tried everything, but I’ve am about to burn this bicycle. Bicycles.
This is perhaps the clearest explanation of adjusting a front derailleur I've come across. Methodical from start to finish
Absolutely the best video on this Front Derailleur Adjustment !
Thank you for the kind words! Keep rolling! 🚴♂😎
Thanks mate. Your rear derailleur video helped me tune. Prior to it i watched the Parktool one but it overcomplicated something which you explained very simply and with good camera angles too.
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear the rear derailleur video was helpful for you. Keeping things simple and clear is key. Happy cycling! 🚴♂😊
My next watch
Agree and agree! Same here.
Excellent video! Helped me resolve the front derailleur chain rub on a second hand bike (with a Shimano 105 groupset). The combination of the camera angles and clear explanation made it clear and simple to follow.
Ditching my front mech was the most liberating thing ever.
Good for you! But why are you watching a video about FD adjustment? 🤔
@@hugosantana7253 To tell people how much liberated he felt
So, you went 1 × ??

The Best explanation for Front Derailleur. magnificent
Your videos are by far the best I have seen
Thanks a bunch! 🌟 Make sure you subscribe to our channel and not miss all the good upcoming content! 🚀🚴♂😎
Fantastic video thank you! The adjustment is slightly more complicated than a traditional derailleur but you made it very clear.
The best and quickest explanation. Thank you so much!
very clear and complete. Thank you
Thanks for this, you’ve provided a really clear description of the process which is not immediately obvious.
super clear and easy to follow. Thanks a lot Nicholas...
awesome explaination , thanks for not going off topic or telling me the history of the derailleur
If its your first time just take it to your local bike shop or the one you bought it from. They'll adjust it well and maybe even teach you how to do it in the future for your bike.
Very clear and not too long either, very to the point, thanks a lot!
You are the only video that actually helped me fix my problem. Thanks a lot
Glad it helped!!
Knowledge of maintaining your road bike can be challenging, but this video is very useful. Thank you for sharing
Evey other video is just rambling. This is the most methodical and clear video .Thank you!
Watched a bunch of videos on derailleur adjustment, this is buy far the best. Thanks!
Great to hear!
I was having problems with adjusting my new front Shimano 105 , but your instructions worked. Thanks.
I'm selling my bike, so this's perfect to get things smoothly handed-over. 😂 😊
If it's a little rough, I won't be satisfied. 😂 So, thank you for your guidance!
Your “How To” videos are excellent. Thank you.
I’ve been having trouble getting my 105 fd set just right….this video was precise and easily understandable
Fantastic, very clear and usefull. Thanks a lot!
Youre the man! I tuned my front derailleur because of this video
This video is the best. Works perfectly. Thanks man!
The best video about fornt derailleur i have ever seen no one say a clear setup about cable and shifting damnit
Kudos! Such a good video. No BS, straight to the point, clearly explained! Thanks a lot
It took me hours did you get mine right the first time. But man that was satisfying now it takes me about 5 minutes practice makes perfect!
thank you for the full frond and rear deraieuller videos. steps by steps instructions. for noobs is the best. ))))
Glad it helped! Happy riding! 😊🚴♂
Best description I've seen for front mech. Thankyou.
Very welcome!
such a good video! 😮💨
Glad you liked it!!

I'm new to road cycling and this video gave me confidence to fix my derailleur issues myself. Thanks!
Love to hear that! Happy riding! 🚴♂😎
so far this is the best vidoe. Thanks!

Excellent tutorial.
Well done! Watched a few vids before this one but they were not as clear as you were.
Saved me a trip to the bike shop, tension was way off not allowing it to be adjusted by the screw so it wouldn't go into the larger gear
😂😂😂come to the workshop bro we want your money
Well isn't that amazing haha! Glad we saved you a trip and a buck or two :) 😎
Excellent instruction thanks
This videos best man, Thank you so much!!!!
You definitely helped me
Great vid. But the H/L screws are not "limit" screws as they were in the old days - the H is a upshift extension screw.
I am going to replace my cables with new ones when my derailleur arrives, do I need a front in line barrel adjuster or can I do away with it as it has the tension screw on the derailleur
So helpful! Thank you!!
A pleasure!😀
Thank mate, but after the adjustment, my crank arm rubbed with the outter of front derailler? please help.
Super! Thanks
The chain is trying to grab onto the big cog when in "trim position" and slips. It's okay when doing a "full" shift. Any ideas?
Great man ❤

Good
I'm on the verge of tears I've been working on this godforsaken bike all day and every time i try again from the beginning it screws something else up but I can't afford to get it tuned at the shop
I feel your pain man! I cannot get the High/limiting screws balanced so the derailleur shifts smoothly. #torture
Anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem:

My front derailleur has never performed better. I had quite a bit of adjusting to do, after ruining it with the unfortunately outdated Parktool video.
What to do if the shifter is too hard to push and can't shift to 3 gear
Hi! I followed the video, and the lowest and highest gear are perfect but the middle one is rubbing. What can I do?
Nobody can answer this question?! out of all the people who commented that this video was completely helpful? Damn.
I moved front low screw and there was still rubbing on chain
I've watched close to 50 videos on this and follow step by step but it never works right. I have 3 chainrings and I can get it to go from smallest to middle. You and me both...and Im in training
Same
The park tool video is rubbish, so is the one by GCN
This is the only video that explains everything and doesn't leave anything out
