Have you never used sim pedals, or driven an actual car. Having the pedals flat on the floor feels so wrong and awkward. Also the awkward foot to pedal angle with these non adjustable pedals make it hard to smoothly press and release the pedals, causing your inputs to be too sharp.

If you think how pedals a designed they're only gonna break faster cause youre adding more pressure to the top plate and its more likely to snap the rod. Sure you get more control but you get a much shortened life span of the pedals
All my cars have had floating gas pedals, my wife’s car has floor mounted and I absolutely hate it. It’s acceptable in my semi because it’s always to the floor anyways, but it feels so much harder to be precise in her car.

i also did it with just 2 pieces of wood and some metal roods to make them stronger put some screw on the buttom site so they grip in the carpet is really easy just hard to find a sweetspot to like them to high is bad and to low is also bad

I did this with my T3PA pedals except I just swapped the pedals in the housing and mounted that to a board on my rig using the normal mounting screws.
