    I've been watching your entertaining videos for about 2-weeks now and I've never hit the ball better. As long as i swing easy and effortless the game is easy. Thanks.

    This is gold. The guy you mentioned before that said you were repeating things - so what? It’s reassuring how simple it can be- I love that, and anyway each video is very different. It’s not just lessons - you are providing a whole entertainment package with your charm, stories, reflections and wit etc, and you actually play the holes as part of it unlike many others. Or is that maybe any others? Anyway - I am very grateful to you. I am happy to tell you and everyone else that everything you are teaching is absolutely spot on. Within a few weeks or so at the range with a small bucket every other day I am now hitting the ball as far as I have ever managed at any stage in the past (meaning my sweetest longest shot at any time in my many years playing) with every club. I can now do this mind bogglingly regularly with a high degree of accuracy and with very little effort. It’s crazy. Now I go to the range (it’s close by) get a £1 portion of balls - which is 15. Many others are slugging their way shot after shot through large buckets of balls topping, slicing hooking, clattering them off the walls…. you know the familiar CLUNK - DING! sound… like something from a Warner Brothers cartoon. I will have one club, today it was my 5 iron, a little practice reminder before each shot. Every one went into the sky and landed in a clump about 165 yards away. Beautiful….. in and out in a jiffy……. just so I can reassure myself that yes… it all still works as I have now become accustomed to. I don’t want to let it go. What more can I say apart from - Thank you very much for making these videos Jimmy. In my eyes you really are the best.

    I’ve been working on this low effort “let the club do the work” feeling with swing drills at the range.
    I’m trying to feel a target 80-90 percent swing effort by hitting a couple at 25%, and then a couple at 50%, then 75%, then 100%. I tell myself 100% is redline, dangerous and too much.
    Then I hit 3 balls at my target swing feel, and for these I’m trying to empty my thoughts and just focus on hitting sweet spot without swinging hard.
    Related drills include single arm swings and heels touching swings.
    It’s working on course more often and surprise the ball is going farther and straighter with less effort.

    The best way to figure out how to swing a club is to grip it so light you're barely holding it. Your body will do the rest

    Hey Jimmy,
    Like the tips you are giving. I just want to ask, it seems like you have a single plane swing - easy (keeping it simple). Do you keep your right elbow close to your body, therefore using more body turn and making your swing shallow?

    Enjoyed this video @TropicanaEntertainment the logic behind 'pausing for perfection' makes sense. Never stopped to think of letting gravity and the club do the work. I've always tried to force the clubhead across the ball. I haven't had a chance to get to the range to try this out yet but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully this will help me to hit better shots and lower my extremely high handicap. Also liking the positivity in the video as my rounds tend to be full of frustration at my mistakes.

    • @junglejim67
      @junglejim67 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The golf club is engineered to square up through the swing, we humans do our best to manipulate it because we overcomplicate it all. Pausing at the top and letting the club drop naturally into the slot is a game changer and has been the biggest 'penny dropping' realisation for me.

    I remember clearly the feeling of everyone coming together immediately after the horrific attack on our country. People would let you out in traffic, stop so you could make a left turn, both people waving thank you 🙏🏼. Now? People cutting you off, road rage violence, flipping you off etc. etc….
    What a sad statement about what it takes for us to get along and be united,no matter your political views. Very sad. God bless America 🇺🇸.

    I am struggling…so you don’t cock your wrists in the back swing? And how do you know where to put the club in the back swing? When I take the club back I end up with weight on my lead foot in a kind of reverse pivot position and on the down swing my weight goes to my right or back foot and I fall back a little. Also swing over the top. I hit the ball fat a lot and also top it…
