As a Monster Hunter player, I was not disappointed. So many times I found myself nodding like 'Yep, been there, done that' - this film was awesome.
I really like Milla. She truly enjoys making the great sci fi movies that I love. And is a true action star. This one looks very promising. I'll be watching it.

I love this movie and rewatched it many times for its straight forward story and no nonsense approach to action and coolness. Mila Jovovich and Tony Jaa are an awesome action couple on screen and I love the simple humour shared between them onscreen. An unappreciated movie.

The movie was terrible. This movie is not for people who’ve never even heard of the game monster hunter. It gives zero to no plot of what’s going on and spoilers it’s mostly just a woman going through a dimensional portal to the world of monster hunter and her just lost 90% of the movie and towards five minutes of the end of the movie there’s a little bit of action. For someone like me who’s actually played the game very disappointed on how they did this movie.
Utter garbage, should be called Plot Hunter. So bad it's worth watching lol.

Not a bad preview, although I'm quite a bit surprised when I saw tony jaa standing on the head of diablos. Like wtf? He just literally teleported there. This would be awesome if he used that thing in their arm and swung above the head of diablos before landing in it to make it realistic.

I had no expectations. Haven't played the game still I know a little about it. The Military thing sounded interesting but after seeing this I am glad I missed the movie.
I saw it and its fine if you want a movie you don't really need to pay attention to or you love non-stop monster fighting (seriously I could've taken a 30 minute bathroom break and wouldn't have missed any plot points). There's next to no plot but the effects are fun to watch.
Like you I never played the games but my boyfriend has and he enjoyed the monster designs and Easter eggs.

The only thing that tells me this is monster hunter are the weapons and the monster. Both of which are represented horribly.

I absolutely would love it if it sticks true to the lore (Like that Mortal Kombat movie you directed over 20 years ago, Anderson). But, as it is, it's a watch then forget about it.

Wow! def want to see it! looks amazing. Also seeing the realness of constant "kill shots" and other heroic moves & still have the feel of a movie, which is what it is., is super enjoyable. It's a movie. NOT trying to play the game, just enjoying what it is. Watching Mila run towards the monster? She's a badass already. Mila makes great action movies & otherwise. Just one example, have you seen her in, "A Perfect Getaway"? (2009, badass movie). Be grateful. I'm grateful. This MOVIE was a tremendous production effort with a lot of heart.

By burrowing just beneath the surface of the sand, the Big Monster demonstrates that he has adapted to his environment. The noonday desert Sun must be "killer", so the BM avoids the HEAT by staying in the "shade" of the sand.
