The thing this movie didnt understand was that hunters or generally people in this universe are kinda super humans, they are durable as hell (able to withstand monster attacks and just falling unconscious if the attack was too strong like a monster when it gets knocked down), have strength to wield a 50 kg sword with power to increase its impact as well (just saying because they seem and feel like it) they dont fling around the weapons and let the weight do its job. Its not the weapons that can cut the monster, its how strong the hunters actually are that cut the monster. Its not just a monster vs human, its kinda like a monster vs mini monster. Humans in monster hunter are just as tough as the monsters, thats why they dont feel threatened, they are usually quite happy with their work and made a culture out of hunting. They hunt with enthusiasm, to balance the ecosystem, not for survival. Only something like an elder dragon and black dragons(especially fatalis) are an actual threat to the people as they can destroy civilizations.
By the look that monster gave that Bowman you can tell he knew who he was. They've encountered each other before and couldn't kill each other so it was saying I'll deal with you later. Respect to the bowman

Yeah. Rathalos was always one of the poster monsters but was NEVER one of the stronger monsters. Fighting Rathians and Rathalos was always a pretty early game thing in any Monster Hunter. Even the first game.
Maybe I should have watched this movie.. but am glad I dint if this was the extent of the “pulse racing” scenes.. gotta love that Milla tho. Her face stays done even in the most chaotic scenes

It needs a new cast and actual accuracy with the characters and the weapons used. The Switch Axe was being swung like a Great Sword and had the discharge from an elemental phial on certain Charge Blades, and the Great Sword that was used to pierce the head of Diablos was basically used as a Lance. Since they were from Monster Hunter World. Have the setting in Astera, and have the weapons and characters for once accurate.
