What a world we lived in just 10 years ago. A small, goofy little sci-fi movie that cost just $40M and nearly made $500M. It was completely self-contained, original movie with zero plans for a sequel. Just a one-off movie for people to enjoy. If this movie was made now they would have spent $180M and it would have lost $200M at the box office.
Great film with both Scarlett and Morgan. Liked the concept of the story even though its far fetched but well thought out and a good script. Great to watch.
The more we learn the further we progress. Such as human behavior. The more you understand them the easier it is for them to be predictable. Closed minded people are the easiest to observe because they're all the same.
Just one hell of a film that is for sure. Scarlett Johanssen was just made for this movie as she really was just brilliant in this film, I must have watched over 500 times and even now I still do not get sick and tired of watching this fantastic film.
Despite being totally unbelievable I thought this was one of the best movies EVER!!!! seen it 6-7 times. Thing is we never really know how much of it could be possible..... do we???

If you look at from the perspective of scientific accuracy, brilliance of storytelling, fight choreography, etc., then of course it will be a ridiculous movie. But I don’t think that’s how the writers truly intended it to be viewed. They don’t want you to try to look at it how you would a regular movie. They want you to look at it in terms of meaning. It is, whether you agree or not, an extremely philosophically involved movie, asking viewers to think about the ramifications of our past and future evolution, our place in the universe, the increasing development of computers, the potential existence of a higher power, what information even is, the scope of potential knowledge, etc.

@nickpond9337 Yes! Especially, since I noticed, that as she evolved more and more, she needed to use less and less violence! In the first scene, in the corridor, she realized that she was already beyond the stage where she needed to kill all the goons to get the briefcase. Or am I misinterpreting it?

It’s a myth that we only have access to 10% of our brains potential. It comes from the days when scientists were studying the brain and didn’t have the tools to look into the brain as it’s working. Even during sleeping our brains use 20% of our bodies calories. We have 100% access to our brains but like a muscle it needs stimulation to get stronger. Functioning Magnetic resonance imaging (FMRI) and Positron emission tomography (POS) can show our brains are fully active at rest or during simple tasks thus the myth of us only having access to 10% of our brains capability is completely wrong.

When you see the high-speed pursuit in the city, you know it's Luc Besson. He always did it like the US in 1980. Police cars don't have brakes. European style add-on: more pedestrians.

Luc Besson set the gold standard with La Femme Nikita in 1990. ONLY watch the original French version even if it means reading subtitles. The American remake has at most half of the edginess and required Euro style of the original.
