I have a med. Size house, I got at a tax auction for 1, 230. Putting 20,000. Into it. My health is crap, I am 61. My place is to be rebuilt with me doing most of the work. It will be worth 350,000. When I am done. This is my childhood home as well.
It's beautiful, but who needs a house that big?? I would feel so lonely in it!!! I had a friend with a 8000 square foot house and I hated going to their house, as stated above, it felt lonely, and it was like being in a hotel vrs being at someone's house 🏡.I had another friend with a modest 1200 square foot house, non-stop Guests, cozy, she decorated with a artist's flare. This is definitely not my thing, but to each their own.
There is no warmth anywhere in the house except for the apartment over the garage. Lol I guess the very rich don't need to relax. The other thing I have a problem with is the double stair case and all of the bannisters, they are so short and I can visualize children just tumbling over them. The house is grand but cold and without heart,
Unfortunately, I noticed the same thing with a lot of larger homes. They lack that homey feel. I think adding big plush rugs, more pillows, dim lighting, and candles would be a great start to turn this house into a home.
That carpet would be first thing I'd have ripped out...Not a fan of the print...and noticed it switched directions in places. THEN......it would be those balusters.....all that curving and "wavey-ness" of the balusters and railings... seemed a bit "cartoonish" for such an Expensive house.
Mat F get rid of all the bricks on the wall change the carpet out make the kitchen bigger put a bigger backyard open it up some more is to close doll have a party nearby in different rooms not a good layout wouldn't buy it
Okay, but far one of the best home show videos ever. The length of the video was perfect, including the extras at the end (fantastic), no talking head trying to sell up the place like a smarmy, used car salesperson, most of the shots are interior (especially from the beginning), what exterior shots there are didn't take up half the video, no narration; just the house selling itself with enough time to get a real good look at the place. The ONLY complaint I have are the quick movement shots were unnecessary and gave the impression that a Go-Pro was attached to a flying dog or a drone. Aside from that, it was perfectly produced.

The first thing I see is, hazmat suit. Booties, gloves, shower every 10 minutes, hair nets. why do rich people chose white furniture and walls. oh yeah, they can afford the maids to clean everyday. It looks way to sterile to be a home. One of those homes, you stand by the door and don't touch a thing .
It's a fantastic house. But I think it is too big for the lot. It basically has no back yard. It would be more appropriate on a 100 acre lot in the countryside.

I always wondered what it was like to live in a house like this, but I'm sad to see that even people who can afford homes like this don't live there either. Is this house brand now (or was it?) The fireplace, pool table, workout room (with just bare floors?!), and many other parts of this house were never lived in. What a waste.
This type of house needs huge money to do regular maintenance,. I once visited one mansion or villa that owes maintenance for years. It feels messy and uncomfortable to live in.

The last part of this video I noticed this place has ZERO as in NADA property.... SCREW that...If I am gonna fork over $22,000,000 it better have acreage and seclusion and PRIVACY. Who wants neighbors? Not me, I want a tractor, horses, forests and room to grow my garden lol . I'm considering offering these people $275,000, take it or leave it....

Lovely home but would not have had the aerobic dancers and football players on every tv in the place. Too many tvs distracts from what is intended as a lovely video.Would have added more sumptuous staging too.
Why?! If you have $12 mil to burn and built such a beautiful mansion excluding the over killed carpet next to your neighbor then you're a showoff or an insecure person. A home like this deserved privacy at least 2 acres of land. Now, where can i put this damn pool? I guess the only way for me to salvage this property is to buy my neighbors out. lol Auction or not this castle will sell one way or another.
