If you can afford to spend $100m on a house then your probably a billionaire & why would you want to ruin the architecture of the building by placing shinny blue solar panels on the roof and a noisy overly expensive windmill that kills birds...
WestwoodYMCMB because you have to plan your future out, they need steady income. the electric bill for that place for one month has to be 5 grand at least. not to mention all the other bills. you have to pay enormous taxes because your in a higher tax bracket, the gas bill would be enormous, the upkeep for the lawn and maintence would be enormous. all those bills add up and its monthly so it would be best to cut those costs down as much as possible. look at mc hammer that fool went bankrupt and he was a multi millionaire. tons of millionaires lost everything due to thinking they had enough money. and the panels dont need to be on the roof they could put them somewhere else but it makes most sense to put them there. the mansion is already ugly i dont think any panels would make its old design any uglier
MelodicsRareMusicVid If the top 1% have taught America anything, it's that they do not pay their fair share of taxes. Upkeep for them would be expense write offs. Why do you think Warren Buffet said his secretary pays MORE in taxes than he does as per percentage?

Tim Ward I myself live in a 5+ bedroom home in which there are 3 rooms that no one ever walks into, except to clean. That's a waste of space & time. So....I aim to radically reduce my personal carbon footprint by buying a small house or possibly hiring a builder who specializes in constructing micro homes. Of course, I'd have to find a way to circumvent our local building codes which render homes below a certain square footage illegal. My inspiration came from youtube...right here I discovered the 'Tiny House Movement'; it's a burgeoning industry, especially among single people or child-free couples. But I'm not interested in a tiny home on wheels; I figure a house of about 500 to 700 sq ft on grass-free property should suit my needs comfortably. Imagine the (pleasant) implications for your property tax, monthly utility bills, & TIME (not spent mowing the lawn & cleaning rooms you don't even use). Extra money to follow your bliss & for vacations, for making memories....not house payments. : )
writerforlifeify Hi Writerforlife! I once had a house that was 1,560 square feet -- and that was way to big for me. I do like small homes for so many reasons. For me, though, the micro homes might be a bit too small. But who knows? I've lived in apartments of 500-700 square feet -- and I never really thought they were too small. In fact, when I lived in a studio apartment, the place was probably considerably smaller. I have a friend who is very interested in those homes, too. Currently, though, he and his partner live in a mobile home and have a bunch of small dogs -- so I don't imagine a micro home would fit their needs. I just don't understand the addition that some people have to bigger and better and bigger and better. How much of their souls do they have to lose in order to temporarily satisfy their addiction?
Who said bigger is better? On so many levels, it's just not. The bigger & pricier your home, the smaller will be your market at the point at which you want to sell your palatial home; you just won't attract as many buyers as you would for a modest-sized house. And I find that smaller houses just feel more homey; they're somehow more intimate, cozier. Plus more energy-efficient, quicker to clean, etc.
+Leah daVinci YEAH IT MAYBE ...but I know you live in it if someone gave it to you I know I would but man the Taxes the heating cooling electric bill be crazy not to mention just the upkeep the place up would all cost you a fortune
I love the marble floors and stairs, the wood ceiling in the library room and the master dressing and bathroom. Of course the view and location is amazing. But the mixture of too many styles (french Versaillesque details, italian details, mediterranean/oriental details here and there) really makes it look incoherent from one room to another or worse when it looks chaotic inside one room. Well, if I had to build one I would personnally go full italian style or mediterranean with oriental inspirations. Versailles style belongs far away from the coasts.
Are you serious? Or just daydreaming? 100 million man, not a hundred thousand. Could you effort it? If you do then you must be a billionaire. I congratulate then.
sudirman saroji 100 million only if you build "pharaonic" buildings, but you can have marble and wood in smaller houses too. This was expensive because of how gigantic it was. No need to be billionaire unless you are dreaming bout having a 60 000+ square foot house :)
Nope! It inspires me to work harder to achieve more. Personally, I wouldn't want this particular mansion, too ornate for my taste, but it's nice to get ideas from and use them on a smaller scale.
Just down the road from me. Beautiful place! I don't envy anyone and wish these folks the best. I pass by regularly and the Christmas light display is incredible. If you work hard, have a little luck...ya never know. Is it excessive? sure, but if that's what you want, you can afford it...then do it. Can't take it with you.
I am happy with my 500 sq studio apartment. I have a good view of downtown Toronto and in proximity to beautiful girls and best food. Its easy to maintain. I do not even need a fucking car. Car rentals are just 5 mins walk from my apartment, so I can easily drive when I need to . Grocery downstairs. My office is only 10 mins by subway. Chilling lifestyle.
halfvolley11 yeah. You did already without any proof, after watching a video about a 100 million mansion. Nothing wrong to be satisfied in a shithole. I am perfectly happy with my place as well. There is a laundry and vegetable store around the corner.DDD I hope you understand my humor here.
rebecca gibson Okay I get your humor. By your logic, whatever I say in youtube about myself needs to be backed up by real life proof. In that case, nobody is right here in youtube . Every comment is bullshit.Nobody has the right to say anything without proof. Wow. What happened to you girl? Did someone cheat with you that you can't properly socialize or connect with anyone without some proof? Or are you a judge by profession?
This designer was definitely influenced by the Renaissance. I've seen other mansions that just look like a bunch of ugly brick buildings. No character. No style. But this is not a mansion this is a palace. It is something world class. It has the feel of an Italian villa. It reminds me of the Andrea Mantegna painting called "Room of the Newlyweds". If Michelangelo or Raphael were alive today they would marvel at this masterpiece. Kudos to the designers and the architects. This is truly a work of art. I can't even begin to describe the interior design. It is so freakin beautiful.
why is this Video in 480p I'm not impressed with a company that builds 100 million dollar homes and post construction videos online in such sub standard veiwing? Sad really!!!
@@nagellajean-baptiste7262 After that kinda screen name, only a woman with a vagina large enough to park a truck will become his wife and then challenge him to come and try to destroy this pussy.
I agree with Blake. In the design of this house there are several styles mixed into each other and this will never be harmonic! Yes, some parts of Versailles (French) and Venetian (Italian), then some heavy dark wood furniture (Dutch/Belgian). To top it off, there are different eras from 1600 - 1900 mixed in one design. Bad taste! I smiled about the showers - they were the little ordinary shower heads coming out of the wall. Where are the elaborate rain showers that we have here in Europe? I am sure there is a steam bath, a sauna and a gym ... but I did not see it in the promotion video.

+Vladimir Pechanec I would agree with you if the details were not done so well. This wasn't amateurish or tacky..It's not what I would want but hey I wouldn't want to live in Falling water either and you know architecturally speaking Falling Water has to be one of the greatest houses ever built. If I had a choice of vehicles for example and money was not a factor and I could get either a Ford 150 or a Rolls Royce (the car that you like) I would go for the Ford but I would acknowledge that the Rolls is a great car it just isn't what I want. The same with this house. One can acknowledge the quality of design and still not want it.

This is an acquired taste. They don’t make houses like this anymore. Kind of sad actually. If you don’t admire the inside then just admire the attention to detail and the amount of work that was put in this house
its nice but not worth 100 million i like my house more 11 bedrooms 14 bathroom elevator and 360 panoramic views in the hills of beverly hills and i only paid 8.7
Im not really a big fan of traditional luxury houses. They just look boring and somewhat ugly lol. I think it isnt worth 100 Mil. I would prefer a much more MODERN house then this...
While preferring modern condos, when it comes to a mansion, it should not be modern. Exotic, or avant-garde is better because today's modern is going to be ugly in 20 years while avant-garde style does not fade away.
I know what it's like to live in a mansion. I've lived in one and it is hectic as hell. Everyone called me the "richie" at school, and always asked me for money just because they've been to my house before and seen its style. I would much rather live in a minimalist apartment then a lavish, overly embellished palatial estate like this gaudy mansion.

+bornbillsmith Excellence of GOOD DESIGN is the >the Most important Quality if the House suppose to be Prestigeous. Sorry, this here is =expensive Tackiness on Steroids.
Vladimir Pechanec How do you define tacky.
tacky to me means bad design
You are not qualified to say it is a bad design.
I am qualified and I say it is good design.
Wowww, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...!

Edna Ballard the lord bless you
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL💟💜💙💚
Amazing everything inside is so damn ugly, they have money but just got NO TASTE AT ALL you can't buy that LOL
I"m glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. It seems like the more expensive the house, the uglier it is.
Floridafanatic28 yeah its ugly af
Oh thank god... I thought it was just me.
This is an acquired taste. They don’t make houses like this anymore. Kind of sad actually. If you don’t admire the inside then just admire the attention to detail and the amount of work that was put in this house
Beautiful! I Loved.
Best i can do is $2 and half a chocolate bar. Deal?
Yes but is the owner happy?
+SSmithProductions
Ha, ha. Excellent point!
I don't think so !!!!
I would! It’s beautiful! Might not be everyone’s taste but I love this architecture
looks like an elegant hotel and resort
its nice but not worth 100 million i like my house more 11 bedrooms 14 bathroom elevator and 360 panoramic views in the hills of beverly hills and i only paid 8.7
Wow that is so cool
''only''
what's your address, bro?
yeah and i have 2 jets on my rooftop :D
OMFG, are u bill gates?
Such wretched excess for anyone with more dollars than sense. Love the tacky surge protector on the floor at 2:46.
Im not really a big fan of traditional luxury houses. They just look boring and somewhat ugly lol. I think it isnt worth 100 Mil. I would prefer a much more MODERN house then this...
Lol yes, I'm fine with my new house with 2 lifts and a huge living room! This is ugly, I like modern stuff to xD
Lofts*
Emilie N Graceffa How much did it cost? Mine was 213k
While preferring modern condos, when it comes to a mansion, it should not be modern. Exotic, or avant-garde is better because today's modern is going to be ugly in 20 years while avant-garde style does not fade away.
OMG!!! Im not even joking, this is freaking hilarious!!
The music sounds Spanish, not Italian.
Barely spanish
The elegant beauty of this place leaves me speechless! Where is it exactly?
besides the view and the garage, it's an ugly ass house in my opinion.
It is kitsch of the kitsch fit for a gypdy king.
Sk'2500 Agreed. This just doesn't do it for me, either.
Jay Young Thought I was a loner in this!! Thanks mate.
Sk'2500 It's mostly just the decorations. But yeah some of it is designed ugly
